What are we searching or fighting for?
Does anyone ask if there may be more?
Who built the pyramids and aligned them to the stars?
Was it us or aliens from Mars?
If we looked back throughout our history,
Maybe it wouldn’t be such a mystery.
How many times have we cried to God above,
Then gone back to living life without love?
Why are we recognised only by what we do or say?
From when we are young it seems that way.
Why do we choose to not take responsibility?
Why do we accept and promote individuality?
This way of being does not make sense,
We are always living at our body’s expense.
How can we defend human intelligence with such pride,
When it’s our innate love that is being shut down and denied?
Is it possible to make another choice?
To stand there and claim it with true strength in our voice?
It only took one to love unconditionally.
One who chose to truly live and think freely.
He never gave up or wished on a star.
Instead he kept living the love we all naturally are.
With true understanding and reflection so strong,
Easily exposing false and loveless ways to be wrong.
Now there are many who live this way,
Who know the truth and don’t give their power away.
This is why we will always say,
That our love is forever and it’s here to stay.
No matter what they may say or do,
We will never back down from what we know is true.
They’ll never pull us over with deception or lies.

The Truth about Serge Benhayon 
The simple use of our divine will to be connected to our essences in all we do without any Trying to be in perfection makes an amazing difference to our awareness and ability to Truely Love.
When we are not invested in the lies, then the truth can be seen more easily. But when we hold investments the lies are something that we conveniently accept and in the process we feed the stronghold of the lies and help to produce more. This is pretty awful to realise and the extrication process can be challenging as it really asks us to see and feel more and more and be honest with where we are at.
It really is for each and every one of us to live this for ourselves and not keep waiting or someone to come and do it for us. This is the empowerment part and each step reclaimed is a celebration indeed.

A very real look At humanity and where we are – the way in which we all have a choice to allow in more love.
Ah how beautiful is this: “OUR truth is unwavering with no compromise.”!
Recognizing truth is easy. Accepting it as truth is equally easy. Embodying it is not that easy because it asks us to renounce to what we have chosen to serve us. Walking it with all the body and being is the biggest challenge.
Love the reminder that it only takes one to step up out of the mire, and that offers the rest of us a new normal, an inspiration, and that it is possible to live a life of love. That One is Serge Benhayon, and the number of people that he has inspired is quite extraordinary.

These two lines bring to the fore what we are so sorely missing in this world, to live the love that we deep down know in our hearts. We are so quick in judging and being righteous but it leaves no room for any heartfelt truth.
Love is something that we feel is intangible but it does come from the ethereal and it is a connection that simply resides within.
Lies can only last so long and one day everything that is not true will be exposed.
I agree that we like to blame god or ask him to save us from the mess on this planet without looking at our contribution to the mess.
“No matter what they may say or do,
We will never back down from what we know is true.” – This line really resonated with me and has been a ‘gold standard’ in my life, always feeling a knowingness about things and not letting go of that in a way that is a defender of Truth. But where it has gone wrong was when I would drop into judgement, resentment, and then withdrawal from the people I felt were attacking and manipulating the truth for personal gain at the expense of others. Love must always be held for everyone equally, despite their actions.
I deeply appreciate those who stand unwavering offering us a reflection of what it is to stand for truth and love.
So often it starts with one who stands unwavering to the truth we are from. It is inspiring yet an abdication of our responsibility if we sit back and watch and admire the one who has stood and not stand in the love we know we are all also, equally, from. It is our one unifying truth.
Live the Love we are, and not attempt any more. Love it. No trying, doing but being.
This is great Emily and may I add;
Making Loving choices is Living like a baby in so many ways.
Then Treating our body with the Tenderness that is There.
So Finding our feet becomes a True Movement of Love.
Then Staying Connected brings so much Joy that the Living Tenderness becomes a True Movement we stay in Connection with.

I like this! It’s very refreshing to read a poem that makes sense. The poems I recall from school seemed to me, like the lyrics of many songs, to be complicated, mysterious and or self-indulgent… mostly designed for the author and their ‘self-expression’. This is not that.
To live a truly religious life, is to honour ones multidimensionality, sensitivity and relationship with everything we do in life.
I smile from the inside out each time I return to read this and each time one line or two jumps out at me. Today it was “This way of being does not make sense We are always living at our body’s expense.”. I have lived this way, as so do the majority of humanity simply because we have not been raised to honour our amazing body and to learn to stop and to listen to its messages but when we do life changes in so many magical and magnificent ways.

When it’s our innate love that is being shut down and denied? “. This is so true. Our arrogance knows no bounds when we can believe that to shut down our love is somehow intelligent. How far away from true intelligence have we gotten if we deny love? This is worth pondering on.
Powerful and so on point, “How many times have we cried to God above, Then gone back to living life without love?”, this shows how so many of us want someone else to ‘do’ if for us, make the changes, make things better, make us healthy etc. with very little input from us.

I can feel that there is love forever, I always knew but did not live, I now honour what I feel love is within us and all around, and even coming though us, we are particles after all….we are held in love I have no doubt.

This notion that God is above and separate and not with us, is so destructive, a God, a father, the father would not hold his sons as less, and there would not be just one of them. I know God, I am of God, from my bodies expression and my chosen intention and way, not perfect, some times,some of me sways, but I feel it in my cells. God and All are equal in this universe.

Compromise is the game we all play to keep ourselves small and give our power away to another. It is a way of avoiding expressing truth, taking responsibility, and standing for what we know is truth within. It in effect allows the lies to run and this comes back to bite us one day.
Powerful poem – yet about everything we know and as it is reality. Expressing this gives us a breath of fresh air that we got all the power to change.
It just takes one person to choose to live the love we all are for there to be a reflection and inspiration for everyone else. Just One.

Defending our minds and their superiority over all else on this planet is an absolute catastrophe for humanity and everything else that lives here. Time to get humble and get back to the reality that the mind is part of our ‘physical body’ to be mastered and utilised, not the answer.
Living the love we naturally are without expectations and waiting for acknowledgement from outside. Very powerful and something I am looking at deeply, so often we subtly search for confirmation from another without offering it to ourselves….a very old habit that I keep working with and healing. There is much that is inspirational and simply stated in this writing, very lovely to read.
Your poem really encompasses so much, each set of paired lines could inspire much discussion and study. “How many times have we cried to God above, Then gone back to living life without love?” For me this is very reflective of institutionalised religion, that we are taught God is outside of us and in charge of the decisions and therefore how our life may be, instead of God being a living connection we have within (true religion) and that connection impulsing a life lived in love, and making responsible choices for ourselves knowing we are part of (and affect) the greater whole.

There is so much to ponder on, the many ways that we avoid the love that we innately are. However, no matter how much we resist it, love is forever and ever.

A pertinent question Emily, “Why are we recognised only by what we do or say?”. I can feel the devastation of so long having lived by this belief, but can now claim that my worth is not in what I do, but in who I already am, that simply makes what I do worthwhile.
When will be the day that it would be a collective aha moment and people will go back in history and see that the so-called great mysteries are no such thing but products of the miracle of love of soulfully living human beings.
If we make life about energy we will find the answers all there in front of us. We have the freedom to choose this way and although some people are going to be shaken out of their comfortable ignorance we will stay and leave an imprint of responsibility.

Wow Emily, so succinctly and beautifully expressed, I simply loved it all. This is a poem worth copying and placing on my fridge to read often.
Spot on Emily – “How many times have we cried to God above,Then gone back to living life without love?” This is one so many of us would know, wanting God to fix our woes but no where near wanting to take responsibility that we are sons of God, therefore equally able to access the same love and wisdom that God does and look at why our lives are the way they are and choose differently. We know full well what choices we have made that has given us the end result.
Yes, that is very humbling. We know what choices we have made and it is important to lovingly take a torch to where the movements started that led to the current drama where we cry to God for change. Without retracing our steps we might choose to leave the responsibility for where we are at the feet of another and then be at the mercy of the same situation happening again as another opportunity.
I have loved coming back to your gorgeous verse at this moment in time Emily ; it got me to stop, let go of any rush and then read, each line speaking so clearly and asking to be considered in stillness; not moving on to the next until this one has been read and felt in its fullness; so very beautiful and full of grace.

It’s about the fact that we feel everything in and through our bodies and so the body becomes our marker of truth if we choose to listen to its signals and responses as a way of understanding the world around us. If we choose to ignore it, then we ignore truth and take interpretation on board as a much poorer second.

Wow Emily, I loved this. Pure power and simplicity in expressing the the wisdom shared through Universal Medicine, that has been here for many aeons, if we care or choose to connect to it. I particularly loved ‘How many times have we cried to God above,
Then gone back to living life without love? ‘ as it is so exposing of us as humans. We go to God when all goes awry, and then when things return to the comfortable ‘norm’ we forget the importance of true love and brotherhood. It is indeed time we lived with the unity we are from.
I totally agree Amelia. The simplicity and power of Emily’s wisdom does expose our current collective choices. We can see around us that so, so many people are choosing and celebrating individuality, separation and comfort for oneself without any consideration or regard for others. This way of living will only lead us further down the loveless path of illness, disease and abuse. But when we start choosing another way, a way that encompasses true love and unity, we will begin our path in our return to God.
I have always struggled to connect with the obscurity of so much poetry but this is awesome Emily thank you for using this form to express so much truth so succinctly.

This is a beautiful verse Emily, and as others have said, every line is equally as powerful as the next. The 2 lines that do stand out for me though are: “He never gave up or wished on a star. Instead he kept living the love we all naturally are.” Serge Benhayon is the man who never falters, never gives up, lives the love that he knows we all have within us to show us there is another way to live, and continues to share his endless wisdom and love with us all and consistently comes back with more. Too many times and counting. It is still a very ingrained trait of the human psyche to blame everyone and everything around or beating ourselves up instead of taking responsibility and learning from our experiences and move on by making different choices.
An absolute Gem Emily, and one that will be around for Aeons to come. It’s made me take a deeper look and consider, what are we truly living? and a powerful statement and claim, that we know the way and that way is love in our hearts.

Then gone back to living life without love?’ We did many times (even those that are not religious I am sure) but we didn’t know the way to love back then. Now that I know the way, there is no turning back.
There is indeed a lot more, so much more to life than what humanity accepts as the norm, and when this is understood, then one realises that this IS just the tip of the iceberg of energetic awareness.
Yes, while it is the nature of our society today, and of science in its arrogance to dismiss something that is not currently measurable or understood, that does not mean that something does not exist. (the same science that once stated (not so long ago) that the appendix was an evolutionary redundancy so best to take them all out), also the spleen… yet now are only just beginning understand its incredible value in the body. So you would think that Science would learn to approach new things with just a little humbleness. True Science involves open enquiry and observation – and when one is open to there being more at play, then the more comes into focus more and more. .. and the grandness of the world of energy which we live in truly begins to open up.

I LOVE this blog Emily, re-reading it today this verse resonated with me ‘If we looked back throughout history, maybe it wouldn’t be such a mystery’. We choose not to ‘see’ what history offers, as if we did, we would surely have to start taking responsibility in everything we do and that would rock our comfortable lives.

Well said Brendan, and we do that without wanting to know that we are in essence complete the opposite when we choose to reconnect with the true origins of our earthly existence. it is just our arrogance that drives us to this utterly absurd way of living, the arrogance of making life our own creation in stead of living our lives in the love of God, the very intention of all of our lives we sooner or later have to return to. It is a matter of choice, do we continue with this abusing way of living, or do we choose for the truth and return to the bosom of God and start to live our lives of truth, unwavering and with no compromise.

I love reading this as it allows me to choose to start to live for myself what I can cry for at times to God. We can live the love we want today by being very present and gentle with ourselves in each moment.
How often have I called out to God and Heaven to save me from my ocean of despair, when all along that seemingly overwhelming water was knee deep. The unwillingness to live with love had me thinking I was drowning, yet all I needed to do was have the self-respect and care to stand on my own feet and walk out.

I love this too Rachel and Lieke, feeling overwhelmed and drowning may seem real, but there is always a level of love we can connect to and live that brings ourselves back to a place where we can see above it, and breathe again. We can also see the choices we took that helped us get to that point in the first place and from there the way out of the depths of overwhelm become clearer, and we can step forward out of the mire.

So true Rachel our misery, our unloving choices and our lack of responsibility are entirely our own doing. We can dramatize it, cry out to God but it is ultimately up us to get ourselves out of our own creation of this mess. When we choose to focus on our misery, our hurts and our loveless choices this is what we will reflect to others but we are in fact simply love. When we choose to accept that that’s who we are and where we come from and start to live lovingly, love will then be reflected to others too.
Lieke your words are a beautiful complement to Emily’s verse, which offers such confirmation and strength. We have been shown a loving way to live, simple and profound, connected to our souls and to God.
So very simple do our lives become when we remember this Bernadette. We are souls before all else and we belong to God. Let that be our foundation before all else.

Maybe if we all actually learned from the humanness of history instead of just observing it as the past we would not be making the same mistakes over and over? If we actually learned from our imperfections and mistakes we would then become aware that there is indeed another way to live and be, a way that is more responsible, supportive and loving for all??
The poems I studied at school were nothing like this! They seemed meaningless as us students searched for something intellectual to say about them. They were usually dramatic, self centred stories about the writer’s woe and left me feeling confused and mentally tired. No wonder I never scored much more than 14 out of 20 for my english essays!
If I had this writing to study though, it would be a different story. This poem makes me feel deeply, makes me question myself and the people of the world. It makes me wonder why people do what they do and is much more relevant and useful for kids to ponder on. I wouldn’t have had to spend so many hours staring out of the classroom window if this was what was on offer for my education Emily.

What we call intelligence usually takes a lot of knowledge and that takes time to accumulate obviously. Amazing to re-read this Emily. ‘Our love is forever and is here to stay.’ There is absolutely no doubt about that.
Beautiful Emily. So many questions we should be deeply considering. It is so true that when we champion intelligence it is our heart that we shut down. Bring on the era when intelligence is known to come from the heart and can never be truly intelligent without it.
I’ve been pondering on just that lately Fiona, how much we use our minds, our intelligence to express instead of coming from our hearts. When we let our hearts express the wisdom and intelligence is profound and beyond anything that our mind can calculate. Our minds give us a perceived ‘safety’ but never the vastness that we connect to when speaking and expressing from our hearts.
So true Fiona. And from a young age we have been encouraged to do this – to champion our intelligence and shut down the heart. Now I find it is taking some time in rebuilding a strong relationship with my heart as I have allowed so much doubt to come in the way of listening to my heart.

Beautiful Emily, a very powerful verse that sums up the entire history of mankind. We call for God and then return to our loveless lives and expect that somehow God is going to miraculously wipe out all our lovelessness, even when we keep on creating it. All it takes is for one person to clearly live the love of God and create a new reference point that affords us the opportunity to re-claim our love, our infinite and awesome truth.

Simple, to the point and profound. I studied literature whilst in college and I never ever enjoyed reading poetry. This, as simple a little rhyme as it may be – was actually quite fun to read and I could tell you must have had some fun yourself in writing it too!
