Our Love is Forever and is Here to Stay

by Emily Billsborough, Receptionist (Diploma of Business Management), Wollongbar, Australia

What are we searching or fighting for?
Does anyone ask if there may be more?

Who built the pyramids and aligned them to the stars?
Was it us or aliens from Mars?

If we looked back throughout our history,
Maybe it wouldn’t be such a mystery.

How many times have we cried to God above,
Then gone back to living life without love?

Why are we recognised only by what we do or say?
From when we are young it seems that way.

Why do we choose to not take responsibility?
Why do we accept and promote individuality?

This way of being does not make sense,
We are always living at our body’s expense.

How can we defend human intelligence with such pride,
When it’s our innate love that is being shut down and denied?

Is it possible to make another choice?
To stand there and claim it with true strength in our voice?

It only took one to love unconditionally.
One who chose to truly live and think freely.

He never gave up or wished on a star.
Instead he kept living the love we all naturally are.

With true understanding and reflection so strong,
Easily exposing false and loveless ways to be wrong.

Now there are many who live this way,
Who know the truth and don’t give their power away.

This is why we will always say,
That our love is forever and it’s here to stay.

No matter what they may say or do,
We will never back down from what we know is true.

They’ll never pull us over with deception or lies.
OUR truth is unwavering with no compromise.

  1. The simple use of our divine will to be connected to our essences in all we do without any Trying to be in perfection makes an amazing difference to our awareness and ability to Truely Love.

  2. When we are not invested in the lies, then the truth can be seen more easily. But when we hold investments the lies are something that we conveniently accept and in the process we feed the stronghold of the lies and help to produce more. This is pretty awful to realise and the extrication process can be challenging as it really asks us to see and feel more and more and be honest with where we are at.

  3. It really is for each and every one of us to live this for ourselves and not keep waiting or someone to come and do it for us. This is the empowerment part and each step reclaimed is a celebration indeed.

  4. Emily what a gorgeous ode to Truth… so beautiful to read and enjoy the reflection!

  5. “With true understanding and reflection so strong, Easily exposing false and loveless ways to be wrong.” That’s the power of our livingness, just the reflection of our essence, our way of being, is enough to expose all that is not true, and allow others the space to choose it if they too want to return to soul.

  6. The poetry of stars resides in our hearts, where there is understanding to what words can’t ever spoke

  7. “They’ll never pull us over with deception or lies. OUR truth is unwavering with no compromise.” Once you have felt love and truth within, and you know that is who we all are, it is rock solid.

    1. Truth is known by many, and now there are many who are willing to say yes to truth, ‘No matter what they may say or do,
We will never back down from what we know is true.’

  8. Being connected to our essence, which has always been a magnetic pull back to Love has delivered such Joy and this forever deepening quality of True-Love once reconnected is felt as we evolve.

  9. “He never gave up or wished on a star. Instead he kept living the love we all naturally are“ – this stood out for me like a biggest STOP sign you would ever see, asking me to express with the deepest honesty, connecting me back to Truth. Thank you.

    1. Spot on Danna, we are kings of dis-empowerment when we choose to play the game, but should we turn that around, then we would get to feel how very powerful we actually are.

  10. “He never gave up or wished on a star.
Instead he kept living the love we all naturally are.” So many of us have been so deeply inspired by Serge Benhayon. Its now our responsiblity to live in full what we know to be true.

    1. Absolutely Sandra – All has been given to us, now it is simply for us to live this, activate this and return just as Serge Benhayon has and in the process inspired so many to do likewise.

  11. ‘They’ll never pull us over with deception or lies.OUR truth is unwavering with no compromise.’ And that’s is something to live everyday! The truth is there to be lived from inside out.

  12. A very real look At humanity and where we are – the way in which we all have a choice to allow in more love.

  13. Recognizing truth is easy. Accepting it as truth is equally easy. Embodying it is not that easy because it asks us to renounce to what we have chosen to serve us. Walking it with all the body and being is the biggest challenge.

  14. Love the reminder that it only takes one to step up out of the mire, and that offers the rest of us a new normal, an inspiration, and that it is possible to live a life of love. That One is Serge Benhayon, and the number of people that he has inspired is quite extraordinary.

  15. “How can we defend human intelligence with such pride,
When it’s our innate love that is being shut down and denied?”
These two lines bring to the fore what we are so sorely missing in this world, to live the love that we deep down know in our hearts. We are so quick in judging and being righteous but it leaves no room for any heartfelt truth.

  16. Lies can only last so long and one day everything that is not true will be exposed.

  17. “No matter what they may say or do,
We will never back down from what we know is true.” – This line really resonated with me and has been a ‘gold standard’ in my life, always feeling a knowingness about things and not letting go of that in a way that is a defender of Truth. But where it has gone wrong was when I would drop into judgement, resentment, and then withdrawal from the people I felt were attacking and manipulating the truth for personal gain at the expense of others. Love must always be held for everyone equally, despite their actions.

  18. So often it starts with one who stands unwavering to the truth we are from. It is inspiring yet an abdication of our responsibility if we sit back and watch and admire the one who has stood and not stand in the love we know we are all also, equally, from. It is our one unifying truth.

  19. This is great Emily and may I add;
Making Loving choices is Living like a baby in so many ways.
Then Treating our body with the Tenderness that is There.
So Finding our feet becomes a True Movement of Love.
Then Staying Connected brings so much Joy that the Living Tenderness becomes a True Movement we stay in Connection with.

  20. “He never gave up or wished on a star. Instead he kept living the love we all naturally are” – this really stood out for me, presenting me with the choice that I didn’t make in full before but still is available for me to make. Thank you for this beautiful reminder, Emily.

  21. ‘It only took one…’ – it all comes down to the willingness being the one, one of the many who make that choice and take this responsibility for the world to change.

  22. ‘How many times have we cried to God above,
Then gone back to living life without love?’

The classic and forever demand we hold against God – our ungodly behaviour – until we are willing to accept being and act as a God ourselves.

  23. Love this Emily, the answers to all our questions are right there before us and always have been.

  24. Beautiful Emily – our truth is solid without compromise.
Thank you for expressing words of our heavens. The place were we are known for and knowing of that love lives/expands. When we start re-connecting to our heavens, we will come to feel that it is in us.

  25. As I read through a few blogs this morning I am appreciating that there is so much being offered on these pages and so many different expressions sharing on all aspects of life. I just read an article on abuse and now your poem, both equally inspiring in their own way. Thank you.

  26. Thank you Emily for your poem filled with love, it was playful, light and as sweet as a baby dove.

  27. It just takes our choice every moment to choose love, and to come back to choosing love when we have stepped away. It just takes our choice and it is always our choice.

  28. Emily these words stood out for me ‘How many times have we cried to God above,Then gone back to living life without love?’ Because it’s as if we want God to fix something, yet when we live in s more loving way, we actually have the wisdom to deal with situations ourselves.

  29. When we are met with unwavering truth and love we have the choice to be inspired to be that truth and love – or not.

  30. ‘It only took one to love unconditionally. One who chose to truly live and think freely.’ The impact is known as to what happens when One stands up and reclaims to live without compromise, the truth and love we all are. This highlights the power we all have at hand if we too re-ignited our true way of being. We all are the Ones through which the light of love can shine on earth.

  31. I like this! It’s very refreshing to read a poem that makes sense. The poems I recall from school seemed to me, like the lyrics of many songs, to be complicated, mysterious and or self-indulgent… mostly designed for the author and their ‘self-expression’. This is not that.

  32. To live a truly religious life, is to honour ones multidimensionality, sensitivity and relationship with everything we do in life.

  33. I smile from the inside out each time I return to read this and each time one line or two jumps out at me. Today it was “This way of being does not make sense We are always living at our body’s expense.”. I have lived this way, as so do the majority of humanity simply because we have not been raised to honour our amazing body and to learn to stop and to listen to its messages but when we do life changes in so many magical and magnificent ways.

  34. ‘There is an absoluteness in the tone of this poem, I love re reading it and to live in such a way that it is clear for everyone that we have the opportunity to re imprint our false steps and walk in the truth of who we are.

  35. Thank you Emily , I just love reading this so precise and concise .
I will put in on my fridge door.

  36. A very well written and beautiful article. I have never read this before and must admit as I was reading it it all sounded and looked familiar. The flow and the way it all linked up was lovely to see and read.

  37. “How can we defend human intelligence with such pride,
When it’s our innate love that is being shut down and denied? “. This is so true. Our arrogance knows no bounds when we can believe that to shut down our love is somehow intelligent. How far away from true intelligence have we gotten if we deny love? This is worth pondering on.

  38. Powerful and so on point, “How many times have we cried to God above, Then gone back to living life without love?”, this shows how so many of us want someone else to ‘do’ if for us, make the changes, make things better, make us healthy etc. with very little input from us.

  39. I just love this Emily, it asks one to go deeper too and question their truth.

  40. It is one thing to know something, or even be connected to it, but not before we live it will it be the reality we live in.

  41. “How many times have we cried to God above, Then gone back to living life without love?” – when we love we are with God and he is with us as God is love and so are we. God is practical, Love is practical. We need to be real.

  42. Such a gorgeous poem, and yes our love is here to stay, ‘That our love is forever and it’s here to stay.’

    1. And no matter how much we try to ignore it or push it away, love is here to stay for sure as it lights the path every step of the way.

  43. This post is really beautiful Emily, and yes how we live presently does not make sense at all,
‘This way of being does not make sense,
We are always living at our body’s expense.’

  44. Gosh this is gorgeous to read! Thank you Emily, it feels very complete and says so much even in the few words you use. “How can we defend human intelligence with such pride, When it’s our innate love that is being shut down and denied?” How true this is, we champion what we think ignoring the body and living loveless lives, when we have a wealth of love inside ourselves.

  45. It is powerful to feel the reflection of love in our movements and to understand the responsibility to live it in full consistently in order to create a foundation that can support and inspire the many looking for the call.

    1. Yes, Francisco, it is our movements that reflect the love we are from, the delicateness and the fragility. Love doesn’t battle or push through, it nurtures and is dedicated to ensuring it is ready to serve.

  46. I can feel that there is love forever, I always knew but did not live, I now honour what I feel love is within us and all around, and even coming though us, we are particles after all….we are held in love I have no doubt.

  47. Thank you Emily for the ‘verse of song’. There is so many questions, and all of them are worth asking – and, we would not live in a universe where there is an answer to each. So, all questions are worth asking because if you pursue you will find an answer.

  48. This notion that God is above and separate and not with us, is so destructive, a God, a father, the father would not hold his sons as less, and there would not be just one of them. I know God, I am of God, from my bodies expression and my chosen intention and way, not perfect, some times, some of me sways, but I feel it in my cells. God and All are equal in this universe.

  49. I recently remembered how much I loved this blog and tracked it down just so I could read it again – I love it so much!

  50. “He never gave up or wished on a star.Instead he kept living the love we all naturally are.”

This is The Way of the Livingness – being fully committed to life, not handing yourself or parts of your life to external forces, and to the best of your ability, live in a way that connects you to the love we all naturally are.

  51. Thank you Emily for such a powerful reminder ‘They’ll never pull us over with deception or lies.
OUR truth is unwavering with no compromise.’

  52. Compromise is the game we all play to keep ourselves small and give our power away to another. It is a way of avoiding expressing truth, taking responsibility, and standing for what we know is truth within. It in effect allows the lies to run and this comes back to bite us one day.

  53. Powerful poem – yet about everything we know and as it is reality. Expressing this gives us a breath of fresh air that we got all the power to change.

  54. It just takes one person to choose to live the love we all are for there to be a reflection and inspiration for everyone else. Just One.

    1. Hear hear Lucy, it just take one and imagine if we are all that One who chooses to light the way with love and truth for all to see.

  55. Unconditional love is indeed worth more than all the love songs written composed and sung throughout the ages… It is a gift from the divine to humanity that both holds and always teaches, and never judges

  56. Defending our minds and their superiority over all else on this planet is an absolute catastrophe for humanity and everything else that lives here. Time to get humble and get back to the reality that the mind is part of our ‘physical body’ to be mastered and utilised, not the answer.

  57. Living the love we naturally are without expectations and waiting for acknowledgement from outside. Very powerful and something I am looking at deeply, so often we subtly search for confirmation from another without offering it to ourselves….a very old habit that I keep working with and healing. There is much that is inspirational and simply stated in this writing, very lovely to read.

  58. Your poem really encompasses so much, each set of paired lines could inspire much discussion and study. “How many times have we cried to God above, Then gone back to living life without love?” For me this is very reflective of institutionalised religion, that we are taught God is outside of us and in charge of the decisions and therefore how our life may be, instead of God being a living connection we have within (true religion) and that connection impulsing a life lived in love, and making responsible choices for ourselves knowing we are part of (and affect) the greater whole.

  59. Very beautiful. What are we all searching for? Great question – and have we looked into our own hearts for the answer? Having searched for a long time in the world for an answer, the ‘one who loves unconditionally’ has shown me it is not out there, but within the innermost of my own heart.

  60. “How many times have we cried to God above, Then gone back to living life without love? ” This time we will not, for as you say, “They’ll never pull us over with deception or lies. OUR truth is unwavering with no compromise.”

  61. This is like a bath in warm rays of the sun, lighting up everything and everyone. Thank you Emily. No matter how many days we turn away, no matter how many steps we take the other way, no matter the fight that may be ‘put up’, our Love is always there in the end, waiting for us with open arms.

  62. Our love is here to stay
so that we can go away
    leaving harmony on earth
returning back to what gave us birth.

  63. “They’ll never pull us over with deception or lies. OUR truth is unwavering with no compromise” This line reminds me of the Amazing song by Glorious Music “jamais vendu” meaning our love will never be sold.

  64. Only when we ask the right questions we realize that it does not make sense. We have no answers that can explain the senseless. We can only bring understanding to it. And yet, we cannot bring understanding without looking at the whole picture. That is why Universal Medicine makes such a difference.

  65. This brilliant piece by Emily makes me stop and consider where I have been compromising and wavering, and to what end that choice is being made.

  66. It is crazy that we all live in a way that doesn’t make sense and we do it relentlessly at each one of our body’s expense… and are arrogant enough to think we get away with it believing illness and disease to not be consequence. Thank God for Serge living the truth and love he does, reflecting not only the possibility but the power of living another way.

  67. There is tremendous power in love. As you say it only took one to trigger such humongous changes and healing in so many, and more and more ones are joining the one until we are all one.

    1. I agree Greg, we need to be able to sing along the truth of all that we all. So aptly expressed by Emily.

      1. Thank you Mary, true expression is easily turned into lyrics, then when the musician has no attachment to the song being anything else other than serve to humanity!

  68. ‘This way of being does not make sense,
We are always living at our body’s expense.’
And this becomes more and more every day, how obvious is it that we need to listen to our bodies and feel the truth that lives in there.

  69. This is such a cool and light piece of appreciation. I remember those poems that we were forced to memorize in school. I wish I would have been able to learn THIS by heart, which is truly harmless and expansive.

  70. Throughout history it is so, that it always takes just one person to live the love that is inherent within us all to create a ripple throughout humanity.

  71. Brilliant brilliant Emily, no compromise. It touches my heart like a melody of love. What it brought to me is the truth I know and that it has not matched the way I had lived.. And so now I will choose to connect to this truth within me and bring it forth – so that all the ways I had walked in life (without love) will be exposed, so that I can let them go.

  72. Beautiful to read Emily, truth expressed so simply and with clarity. how could we ever back down from a truth that is our very livingness.

  73. “No matter what they may say or do, We will never back down from what we know is true.” Emily I love that part very much as it reflects very clearly that there is no way back to live in the old way but instead showing the world that there is another way to live our lives and that is beautifully powerful!

  74. A pertinent question Emily, “Why are we recognised only by what we do or say?”. I can feel the devastation of so long having lived by this belief, but can now claim that my worth is not in what I do, but in who I already am, that simply makes what I do worthwhile.

  75. When will be the day that it would be a collective aha moment and people will go back in history and see that the so-called great mysteries are no such thing but products of the miracle of love of soulfully living human beings.

  76. If we make life about energy we will find the answers all there in front of us. We have the freedom to choose this way and although some people are going to be shaken out of their comfortable ignorance we will stay and leave an imprint of responsibility.

  77. Dear Emily,
I have never before read a verse that has been written for the world, for all to ponder on and wonder if this love you talk about is in some way different to the way many know love to be. It is a verse that clearly offers a way to live that comes from love and adoration of ourselves first and foremost, a love that is then lived in our lives. The world can only benifit from this.

  78. What a gorgeous find this morning to re-read your poem Emily. Today this line stood out “This way of being does not make sense, We are always living at our body’s expense.” It is an irrefutable statement against human intelligence – which we pride so much – but if we are so smart, why are lifestyle diseases our no1 killer. It simply doe not make sense the way we are living.

  79. “He never gave up or wished on a star.
Instead he kept living the love we all naturally are.” This line really hit home today as it inspires an unwavering steadiness that we all need to come back to no matter what is going on around us.

  80. How beautiful to read your poem again today Emily, thankyou. “How can we defend human intelligence with such pride, When it’s our innate love that is being shut down and denied.” How often I have shut down or denied my own innate love, scrambling for recognition, because of my own pride, or due to my resistance to simply be me. It seems quite crazy when it’s love that we actually crave so much.

  81. Emily, I love this. A big smile was creeping up on my face when I read this. Especially this line – “He never gave up or wished on a star. Instead he kept living the love we all naturally are.” The way we are living as a human race is in dire straits and I think the cracks are beginning to show. The way forward to live the love we are all naturally are and to take responsibility for our own lives. Serge Benhayon is a true messiah.

  82. This really makes me stop and consider how simple it is to live with a foundation of love. Love highlights all intentions, once lived and appreciated, there is no turning back.

  83. Never compromise, never back down from what we know is true. Love these lines, they are so simple yet profound. It is something we know innately within all of us, that is we are divine and not from here, yet we fight that deeply.

  84. “No matter what they may say or do. We will never back down from what we know is true.” So many great points in your verse Emily.

  85. I love it Emily!
“Now there are many who live this way,
Who know the truth and don’t give their power away.
This is why we will always say,
That our love is forever and it’s here to stay.” HEAR HEAR!

  86. Gorgeous Emily, we have been offered a beautiful gift and the answers are right there for us. It is up to us to make that choice.

  87. “He never gave up or wished on a star. Instead he kept living the love we all naturally are.” This says it all for me, not to buy into what we have made the world to be but live that what we know is true so step by step the world will change accordingly.

  88. “Instead he kept living the love we all naturally are.” Serge Benhayon is the inspiration behind these words and the inspiration for us all to live the love we all naturally are.

  89. ‘How many times have we cried to God above,
Then gone back to living life without love?’
Well said Emily, great ponder on…

  90. Wow Emily, so succinctly and beautifully expressed, I simply loved it all. This is a poem worth copying and placing on my fridge to read often.

  91. Spot on Emily – “How many times have we cried to God above,Then gone back to living life without love?” This is one so many of us would know, wanting God to fix our woes but no where near wanting to take responsibility that we are sons of God, therefore equally able to access the same love and wisdom that God does and look at why our lives are the way they are and choose differently. We know full well what choices we have made that has given us the end result.

    1. Yes, that is very humbling. We know what choices we have made and it is important to lovingly take a torch to where the movements started that led to the current drama where we cry to God for change. Without retracing our steps we might choose to leave the responsibility for where we are at the feet of another and then be at the mercy of the same situation happening again as another opportunity.

  92. I have loved coming back to your gorgeous verse at this moment in time Emily ; it got me to stop, let go of any rush and then read, each line speaking so clearly and asking to be considered in stillness; not moving on to the next until this one has been read and felt in its fullness; so very beautiful and full of grace.

  93. Thank you Emily – words so simply written yet holding profound truth. As you said ‘it took only one person and now we all have the imprint of what it is to live the truth that we are’. In deep appreciation of Serge Benhayon.

  94. I love coming back to what you have expressed here Emily, so beautifully written and heartfelt. I was particularly draw to;
“With true understanding and reflection so strong,
Easily exposing false and loveless ways to be wrong”.
Very inspiring; both you and Serge Benhayon.

  95. How stunning to re-read this and feel every word ignite all the cells in my body with the universal truth that’s been expressed. Our love is forever and it’s here to stay. Forever and forever more.

  96. ‘Our truth is unwavering with no compromise.’ This isn’t dogma. It’s about the fact that we feel everything in and through our bodies and so the body becomes our marker of truth if we choose to listen to its signals and responses as a way of understanding the world around us. If we choose to ignore it, then we ignore truth and take interpretation on board as a much poorer second.

  97. Beautiful Verse Emily, it is so confirming of the love we all are.

  98. Gorgeous to revisit this Emily. The wisdom in your words is felt in the body.

  99. When we do not understand and live with the wisdom that everything is energy, life is simply three-dimensional and even less like living in a world of monochrome and monotone… And this is what we think is normal.

    1. So true cjames2012 and the majority of humanity live like this while all along what is before them — all of us that is — is a way of life so stupendous and glorious when we choose and claim our own love. Crazy and sad that this is the case, and yet deeply inspiring to reflect this way of life to all who come our way.

  100. Thank you Emily. This is beautiful a poem read. Simple words with profound meaning, which encapsulates the Way of the Livingness and the truth of God. None of it is complicated, all perfectly simple and forever loving along the way.

    1. Yes Felix, very well said. A living light-house that will not yield to any storm or rage… forever emanating the right of truth for all of us lost at sea trying to find our way home.

  101. Reading all the replies to this Beautiful blog/poem about life and us, I can feel the innate connection to truth deeply felt by everyone, connecting us all in understanding of each other and what is known within. Thank you Emily.

  102. ‘How can we defend human intelligence with such pride,
When it’s our innate love that is being shut down and denied?’
A two-liner that so brilliantly captures the absurdity of the emphasis we put on human intelligence and the arrogance that accompanies it.

  103. It is pretty shocking and exposing when you present it like this Brendan, it’s a real wakeup call. The beauty here is that we have the power to change this in an instant when we all collectively choose to live love, be love and reflect love. This is who we are and when we embrace our natural way harmony will be restored.

  104. I love re-reading this as it captures all that Universal Medicine has been presenting for years and it is not just because this is what many have heard through over this time but because what is presented is what we all know to be true inside. Thank you Emily.

    1. Yes, reading this poem is like joining all the dots aloud regarding something that, if we take the time to be still, can be felt as the truth.

      1. Yes I like that – “joining all the dots”. This being each dot was each time I felt truth in life but dismissed it not realising how much I knew inside as I was not living it.

  105. Thank you Emily for sharing your wisdom. Love is always there, constant, waiting for us to connect back to.

  106. Wow Emily, I loved this. Pure power and simplicity in expressing the the wisdom shared through Universal Medicine, that has been here for many aeons, if we care or choose to connect to it. I particularly loved ‘How many times have we cried to God above,
Then gone back to living life without love? ‘ as it is so exposing of us as humans. We go to God when all goes awry, and then when things return to the comfortable ‘norm’ we forget the importance of true love and brotherhood. It is indeed time we lived with the unity we are from.

    1. I totally agree Amelia. The simplicity and power of Emily’s wisdom does expose our current collective choices. We can see around us that so, so many people are choosing and celebrating individuality, separation and comfort for oneself without any consideration or regard for others. This way of living will only lead us further down the loveless path of illness, disease and abuse. But when we start choosing another way, a way that encompasses true love and unity, we will begin our path in our return to God.

  107. I have always struggled to connect with the obscurity of so much poetry but this is awesome Emily thank you for using this form to express so much truth so succinctly.

  108. This is a beautiful verse Emily, and as others have said, every line is equally as powerful as the next. The 2 lines that do stand out for me though are: “He never gave up or wished on a star. Instead he kept living the love we all naturally are.” Serge Benhayon is the man who never falters, never gives up, lives the love that he knows we all have within us to show us there is another way to live, and continues to share his endless wisdom and love with us all and consistently comes back with more. Thank you Serge Benhayon.

  109. ‘How many times have we cried to God above,
Then gone back to living life without love?’
Too many times and counting. It is still a very ingrained trait of the human psyche to blame everyone and everything around or beating ourselves up instead of taking responsibility and learning from our experiences and move on by making different choices.

  110. An absolute Gem Emily, and one that will be around for Aeons to come. It’s made me take a deeper look and consider, what are we truly living? and a powerful statement and claim, that we know the way and that way is love in our hearts.

  111. Emily the depth of beauty, wisdom, strength and insight in your verse is a gift to us all. You pose poignant, powerful questions worthy of deep consideration. Thank you.

  112. This is just beautiful Emily, in its simplicity, profundity and completeness. Its clarion call is captured for me in ‘How many times have we cried to God above, Then gone back to living life without love?’.

  113. Love it “they’ll never pull us over with deception or lies.
OUR truth is unwavering with no compromise.” , fantastic as we all stand strong and claim our truth there is no stepping down. Our Livingness gives us the clarity to see through lies and deception, our love for self and humanity give us our inner strength.

  114. Great lines Emily, thank you. ‘How many times have we cried to God above,
Then gone back to living life without love?’ We did many times (even those that are not religious I am sure) but we didn’t know the way to love back then. Now that I know the way, there is no turning back.

  115. There is indeed a lot more, so much more to life than what humanity accepts as the norm, and when this is understood, then one realises that this IS just the tip of the iceberg of energetic awareness.

    1. Yes, while it is the nature of our society today, and of science in its arrogance to dismiss something that is not currently measurable or understood, that does not mean that something does not exist. (the same science that once stated (not so long ago) that the appendix was an evolutionary redundancy so best to take them all out), also the spleen… yet now are only just beginning understand its incredible value in the body. So you would think that Science would learn to approach new things with just a little humbleness. True Science involves open enquiry and observation – and when one is open to there being more at play, then the more comes into focus more and more. .. and the grandness of the world of energy which we live in truly begins to open up.

  116. No particular stanza stands out for me – they all do! everything you say is spot on. Great blog.

  117. I’ve never been big fan of poetry however this one doesn’t leave me trying to figure out what you are saying. Clear and insightful with some great wisdom to ponder. Thank you.

  118. I LOVE this blog Emily, re-reading it today this verse resonated with me ‘If we looked back throughout history, maybe it wouldn’t be such a mystery’. We choose not to ‘see’ what history offers, as if we did, we would surely have to start taking responsibility in everything we do and that would rock our comfortable lives.

    1. I agree Fionacochrane01, we pick and choose what we want to see but not what is there to see.

  119. Well said Brendan, and we do that without wanting to know that we are in essence complete the opposite when we choose to reconnect with the true origins of our earthly existence. it is just our arrogance that drives us to this utterly absurd way of living, the arrogance of making life our own creation in stead of living our lives in the love of God, the very intention of all of our lives we sooner or later have to return to. It is a matter of choice, do we continue with this abusing way of living, or do we choose for the truth and return to the bosom of God and start to live our lives of truth, unwavering and with no compromise.

  120. Thank you Emily. So gorgeous to read.

“How many times have we cried to God above,
Then gone back to living life without love?”

I love reading this as it allows me to choose to start to live for myself what I can cry for at times to God. We can live the love we want today by being very present and gentle with ourselves in each moment.

    1. How often have I called out to God and Heaven to save me from my ocean of despair, when all along that seemingly overwhelming water was knee deep. The unwillingness to live with love had me thinking I was drowning, yet all I needed to do was have the self-respect and care to stand on my own feet and walk out.

      1. Love this Rachel “all I needed to do was have the self-respect and care to stand on my own feet and walk out.” It is empowering to feel we always have the choice what way we want to live.

      2. Yes, I like that too, it starts as simple as that, to have ‘the self-respect and care to stand on my own feet and walk out.’

      3. I love this too Rachel and Lieke, feeling overwhelmed and drowning may seem real, but there is always a level of love we can connect to and live that brings ourselves back to a place where we can see above it, and breathe again. We can also see the choices we took that helped us get to that point in the first place and from there the way out of the depths of overwhelm become clearer, and we can step forward out of the mire.

      4. So true Rachel our misery, our unloving choices and our lack of responsibility are entirely our own doing. We can dramatize it, cry out to God but it is ultimately up us to get ourselves out of our own creation of this mess. When we choose to focus on our misery, our hurts and our loveless choices this is what we will reflect to others but we are in fact simply love. When we choose to accept that that’s who we are and where we come from and start to live lovingly, love will then be reflected to others too.

    2. Lieke your words are a beautiful complement to Emily’s verse, which offers such confirmation and strength. We have been shown a loving way to live, simple and profound, connected to our souls and to God.

    3. I agree Lieke, it brings the responsibility right back to us.. God has never ever left, we only choose to live in separation from Him and the constant light he holds us in – awaiting our choice to return. Stepping forward in love allows that love to grow for all to live and our way back to God is there.

  121. Like many others Emily I love coming back to this blog.
Such a beautiful poem with such a powerful message; simply and clearly conveyed.
I really appreciate you and your heartfelt expression.

  122. Cool verse Emily. What deeply touched me was: How many times have we cried to God above,Then gone back to living life without love?
This is so true, I myself have been totally doing that.. But here I am to stay and say now that I have found the love I can live everyday now:) Gorgeous verse, it carries a deep truth. We come from truth, so it is our journey back to this truth.

  123. A blog that I shall return to often Emily. Thank you for expressing from your heart. It is truly felt.

  124. I especially loved: “How many times have we cried to God above,
Then gone back to living life without love?” It’s a telling sentence, because we’ve all been there at some stage no doubt. The wonder and mysticism is flat lined with knowing this is at the heart of the truth.

  125. Such a joy to read your gorgeous blog Emily and feel the deep deep love that it is written from. Truth and wisdom in every line, thank you for your beautiful expression.

  126. This is very beautiful Emily. Thankyou for sharing your sweet and wise inspiration of this man who has brought so much to so many, so selflessly. What a gorgeous reminder of who we are and where we’re from, and a beautiful way to start my day. Thankyou.

  127. Thankyou Emily, your words are simple, beautiful and wise. Our love is indeed forever and here to stay.

    1. Maybe if we all actually learned from the humanness of history instead of just observing it as the past we would not be making the same mistakes over and over? If we actually learned from our imperfections and mistakes we would then become aware that there is indeed another way to live and be, a way that is more responsible, supportive and loving for all??

  128. The poems I studied at school were nothing like this! They seemed meaningless as us students searched for something intellectual to say about them. They were usually dramatic, self centred stories about the writer’s woe and left me feeling confused and mentally tired. No wonder I never scored much more than 14 out of 20 for my english essays!
If I had this writing to study though, it would be a different story. This poem makes me feel deeply, makes me question myself and the people of the world. It makes me wonder why people do what they do and is much more relevant and useful for kids to ponder on. I wouldn’t have had to spend so many hours staring out of the classroom window if this was what was on offer for my education Emily.

  129. Thank you, Emily. This is very beautiful. Your words are simple, the truth that it carries is powerful and resonates with me deeply inside.

  130. This time we are not backing down. This time we are here to stay.
Thank you Emily for a strong reminder of grace and the power of love that is stronger than any adversary.

  131. Emily, there is a rhythm and wisdom that goes well beyond your words and straight to the truth of how it is and the choice we always have in the way things are. We live the life that we have by way of what we have chosen. Do we make these choices with love or with what is not?

  132. Absolutely gorgeous Emily, I can’t believe this is the first time I’ve read this! Well it’s certainly not the last. This prose is for everyone, I hear your call echo through humanity asking the questions we all know the answers too.

  133. I loved reading this Emily – what a beautiful reminder – ‘That our love is forever and it’s here to stay.’

  134. Truly beautiful poem, simple and profound. Heartfelt and full of wisdom. As I read the poem my body felt the amazing stillness, the wisdom reflected was clear and precise. Like you share it took one man to make a change in the way he lives, now there are many who live the same way.

  135. “He never gave up or wished on a star.
Instead he kept living the love we all naturally are.”
Love how you’ve encapsulated this man’s consistency and steadfastness, without it being an effort or trying on his part – he just keeps living his loving expression and thus is a supreme inspiration for us all.

  136. Thank you Emily , I really loved your poem I felt a depth of warmth and stillness in me reading it, truly beautiful.

  137. Emily, I love the way you have gone beyond a surface examination of life here and exposed the way that life is lived by so many. After presenting this, you then go on to offer another way that calls people to account. There is no holding back here and the piece is very powerful for it.

    1. Not only offering another way, but a way that is proven not just by Serge Benhayon, but by more and more people who are lighting up inside and learning to live their way.

  138. Beautiful to come back to your poem today Emily, there is so much wisdom shared in a few lines, every time I take something with me after reading and feeling your words, thank you!

  139. Such a beautiful sharing with us all Emily – thank you a joy to read and feel the energy of which it was written in – love.

    1. I agree that the energy Emily wrote this in shines through. It’s simple and elegant, like a lovely sit-down meal.

  140. Emily, this is a very catchy and full of wise words for us to ponder on.
    Thank you

  141. Love this Emily every line is a whole book of wisdom in itself. What stood out for me today was: “How many times have we cried to God above, Then gone back to living life without love?” How did we get to living life without love and totally loosing our connection to God?

  142. Wow Emily, thank you for delivering this super-powerful piece of writing inviting all to know and live this truth and love that we all are. Deeply inspiring.

  143. Beautiful Emily, a great confirmation that we all have the same within us to bring out equally for all.

  144. I loved reading this today. Yes never gave up and has never compromised and now it is time for me and others to never give up and to never compromise.

  145. I just love coming back to this blog Emily; your wisdom and expression is very much appreciated.

  146. ‘He never gave up or wished on a star.
Instead he kept living the love we all naturally are’ and we all have this wisdom in our body. Thank you Emily for this beautiful and simple expression of love.

    1. ‘Now there are many who live this way,
Who know the truth and don’t give their power away.’
It is about us who live this way, who will not waiver and will stand strong, since love is where we belong.

  147. You are a poet Emily, a bard bringing us a timeless message from the Ageless Wisdom (the oldest forms of knowledge and wisdom, which are all about building brotherhood, through love, within and amongst our communities everywhere). Your poem is a true celebration of the love we all innately are and of those who have chosen to live it. It’s beautiful, joyful, profound … and it reads well to a Rap beat too!

  148. Truly beautiful, heartfelt, and filled with wisdom. I love coming back to read these very true words. Such small sentences but they contain so much. I felt a deep sense of stillness reading, thank you Emily.

    1. Each sentence is packed with so much to think about, or such a strong truth. Its great to read in full, but just as powerful sentence by sentence. Its beautiful Emily – thank you.

    2. I agree Melinda with the absolute wisdom each prose holds. Emily is presenting something quite ancient here – in fact age old questions that call us all to account for our choices, lovingly so.

    3. Each sentence invites you to just be with it and feel its depth.
      Today this one stood out:
“How can we defend human intelligence with such pride,
When it’s our innate love that is being shut down and denied?”
      Thank you Emily.

    1. Just like you franciscoclara8 I was once again drawn back to this delightful blog from Emily, and once again experienced the love that it was written in. So very beautiful to feel the depth of this love.

  149. Absoulty beautiful Emily straight from heaven! “They’ll never pull us over with deception or lies.OUR truth is unwavering with no compromise.” I feel much appreciation to Serge Benhayon for delivering Gods message. The truth is very much needed at this time and Serge is unwavering in his love and understanding for all humanity.

  150. “They’ll never pull us over with deception or lies.
OUR truth is unwavering with no compromise.”
Beautiful line Emily. Once the truth is known, there is no going back, no compromise

  151. I just loved reading your very inspiring and wise words Emily
Thank you for so clearly presenting so many truths

  152. Our love is indeed for ever and here to stay. It’s up to us to reconnect or choose for delay.

  153. It was great to re-read this blog Emily. This line stood out for me today,
“How many times have we cried to God above,
Then gone back to living life without love?”
The more I live a life ‘with’ love, the less I need to cry to God above. Simple really!

  154. No more running or hiding or ducking, no more doubting, no more lies, and definitely no more living with compromise!

  155. ‘He never gave up or wished on a star.
Instead he kept living the love we all naturally are.’
No wishing, hoping, trying or achieving…. Just making simple loving choices all day every day.

  156. Emily, I am so glad that I re-read this delightful post from you today. It is full of so many precious gems, especially this one : “He never gave up or wished on a star. Instead he kept living the love we all naturally are.” No wishing is needed, just a commitment to living this love that is so natural to all of us.

  157. Loving unconditionally – Serge Benhayon, a powehouse of love, has shown me that we can all choose that and live that, and I now know how life feels when we choose wisely. Thank you Emily for the great questions and insights offered.

  158. WOW Emily, here you go. You are the best proof that wisdom does not depend on age!
What we call intelligence usually takes a lot of knowledge and that takes time to accumulate obviously. BUT then there is wisdom coming from connection and that depends on choice – a very interesting concept – especially since it does not depend on any outer influences and is therefore available to everyone at anytime in life.

  159. Thank you Emily for sharing these beautiful thoughts with everybody. There is indeed much to ponder. The stillness and depth in these very simple lines is amazing.

  160. Emily this is a Recipe for a Life Well Lived.! Everyone should have as copy of this beautiful and insightful Blog. Thank you for sharing and making my day!

  161. This is a beautiful reading Emily, I resonated so strongly with the line ‘now there is many that live this way, who know the truth and don’t give their power away’.

  162. The fundamental questions of life expressed simply, with examples of another way to live our lives, one built on a foundation of Love and Truth. Thank you Emily.

  163. Our Love is forever and it is here to stay! To feel this love and to know it is who we are is the knowing of all knowings that there is to know. Love it Emily.

  164. So true Emily – “This way of being does not make sense, We are always living at our body’s expense” When we stop long enough to consider this, the ‘normal’ way of life we become used to is not so normal after all. True normal is knowing that ‘Our love is here forever and it is here to stay’ Thank you Emily

    1. All the lines in this were gold, but this one stood out to me also. Such truth expressed so clearly in one line. The stating of it exposes how ridiculous it really is that we do live at the expense of our bodies.

  165. The questions you ask above should be the topics we speak about as human beings amongst each other. How come we can speak so extensive on the weather and not speak about the choices we make in our lives? We love a comfortable life and don’t like the responsibility of the consequences of our choices.

  166. Emily beautiful composition of many great questions that lead to the truth. The truth that was lived simply by one now simply by many with many, many more to follow.

  167. Amazing to re-read this Emily. ‘Our love is forever and is here to stay.’ There is absolutely no doubt about that.

  168. Beautiful Emily. So many questions we should be deeply considering. It is so true that when we champion intelligence it is our heart that we shut down. Bring on the era when intelligence is known to come from the heart and can never be truly intelligent without it.

    1. I’ve been pondering on just that lately Fiona, how much we use our minds, our intelligence to express instead of coming from our hearts. When we let our hearts express the wisdom and intelligence is profound and beyond anything that our mind can calculate. Our minds give us a perceived ‘safety’ but never the vastness that we connect to when speaking and expressing from our hearts.

    2. So true Fiona. And from a young age we have been encouraged to do this – to champion our intelligence and shut down the heart. Now I find it is taking some time in rebuilding a strong relationship with my heart as I have allowed so much doubt to come in the way of listening to my heart.

  169. It only took one to fire up the people to inspire another way, imagine a ‘Serge’ of people showing us all… that’s movement.

  170. Love it Emily. Especially the ‘our love is forever and it’s here to stay’. This sounded so familiar and I am sure I have written a song or something with this line it in. Great hearts think a like 😉 And I loved the last line too- our truth is unwavering with no compromise.

  171. Powerful words Emily, yes, “OUR truth is unwavering with no compromise”. Our truth is the truth.

  172. Thank you Emily. Truly beautiful in your expression as you are. Simplicity and empowerment.

  173. Emily you have presented simple truths for all to share in such a lovely way.

  174. Your lines immediately took me deeper – in stillness, in appreciation, in love, in oneness.

  175. I love the way you’ve told this story Emily, taking us from knowing there must be more to finding the inspiration in Serge Benhayon, turning our lives around, and feeling the truth in this – that cannot be denied.

  176. Emily loved feeling the truth of what you have shared. Feeling inspired by it as I go into my day.

  177. I love it Emily, each verse is a question for humanity or a pearl of wisdom.

  178. How playful Emily and so relevant to what is happening everywhere in the world today. Questions we can all ask ourselves, answering truthfully.

  179. Emily beautifully expressed with love, honesty and truth for all to see. Thank you for the magic that is so playfully posed for all to simply be.

  180. Gorgeous, I love every line that you have written Emily, especially “they’ll never pull us over with deception or lies. OUR truth is unwavering with no compromise”.

  181. Wow Emily!
I read this out loud and it’s so powerful, asks so many great questions and delivers such a full message… Thank you. I’d love to read some more blogs from you!!

    1. Thanks arieljoymuntelwit for the inspiration – I just read it aloud and was blown away by the power of it. It is all encompassing and truly comes from the heart.

  182. Thank you Emily for this beautiful verse. Great questions with true and simple answers. The one that resonates with me is ‘we will never back down from what we know is true’. That feels so true to me for the way I live my life nowadays.

  183. I really enjoyed reading your verse, not only does it have great rhythm, but contains so many truths. Thanks Emily.

  184. Playfully presented questions that are truly worth pondering. If each of us allowed ourselves the space to really question the way things are as set out in this gorgeous blog the world would be a very different place. Thank you Emily.

  185. Emily has offered an invitation, together let’s write the book..

Here we stand, here we are, claimed and named
with heaven before us, the doors are wide open
How much we choose to see, how much we choose to be
That’s up to each one, to make the choice to be the one
It’s not taught, sold nor bestowed, just a simple way, a living way…

  186. Thanks Emily for sharing your beautiful, loving expression. It was a joy to read, playful and full of purpose.

  187. Simple, powerful, joyful and glorious are your words Emily, capturing the essence of who we all are. Thank you.

  188. It is gorgeous to again read your simple and inspiring words, and they make such beautiful sense, Emily. Thank you.

  189. Just stunning Emily. Thank you for sharing this beautiful verse that life can be lived a different way.

  190. This blog appeared like magic before my eyes again this morning when returning to this Truth About Serge Benhayon website.
It is beautiful to read again Emily, thank you.

  191. Thank you Emily – I happened across your blog just now – it is so beauty-full and well timed for me to read as a reminder.

  192. “They’ll never pull us over with deception or lies.
OUR truth is unwavering with no compromise.”

    Hear, hear!

  193. Stunning blog Emily. ‘How can we defend human intelligence with such pride,
When it’s our innate love that is being shut down and denied?’… So very true; and with all this disease, war, abuse and sickness in the world, how is it we are still so arrogant?

  194. Very strong, very clear, in many ways it confronts me with the truth of what I am doing.

  195. Beautiful Emily, a very powerful verse that sums up the entire history of mankind. We call for God and then return to our loveless lives and expect that somehow God is going to miraculously wipe out all our lovelessness, even when we keep on creating it. All it takes is for one person to clearly live the love of God and create a new reference point that affords us the opportunity to re-claim our love, our infinite and awesome truth.

  196. “He never gave up or wished on a star.
Instead he kept living the love we all naturally are.”
    Love this line, perfect.

  197. Amazing….One to be read over and over. There is much said and revealed here for us all. Thank you Emily.

  198. Gorgeous what you write Emily and so true. The questions you raise are what we as human beings need to look at and speak about. I love when you write:

‘Why are we recognised only by what we do or say?
From when we are young it seems that way.’

    So:
Let’s make a start, because there is another way,
This imprisonment doesn’t have to stay.

    1. Simply , gorgeously, beautiful, Emily. This love is here, for all of us, to stay, always has been. What a joy to live it. Thank you for your verse.

  199. Absolutely beautiful Emily and coming straight from Ageless Wisdom. Our Love is here to stay – I say yes to this !

  200. Would have loved to have studied this when doing English at school – beautiful verse Emily

  201. How lovely this is to read – and every bit true! this has such a natural flow to it. True equality is everyone being able to express in such a powerful way, regardless of age or background. Thank you for this.
    Hannah

  202. I love the swirl and flow to your verse, with a simplicity and beauty, this is a joy to read, thank you Emily.

  203. Wow Emily this is simply glorious, written with truth and love.’ OUR truth is unwavering with no compromise’ It most certainly is.

  204. I absolutely Love this Emily Bilsborough and will be printing and passing on.
It feels like fresh air and the thread of simplicity that runs through this beautifull peace of writing tells me it comes from the same place inside us all that built the pyramids.
We are all aligned to the stars and you sure are writing in this way. I love it.

  205. this is seriously beautiful and I love reading the truth that has been playfully described. This one speaks for me from the core and many more – That our love is forever and it’s here to stay.

  206. These are the questions we as a human family need to be asking each other. Thank you Emily for expressing it so well.

    1. That is exactly what I thought Andrew. These are questions we really need to ask each other. The one I felt the most reading this now is “How many times have we cried to God above, Then gone back to living life without love”.

  207. Your verse is beautifully concise and expresses so powerfully, you should
    try putting it to music!
Wasn’t there an old standard that went along the lines of……
“The Rockies may tumble, Gibraltar may crumble; they’re only made of clay,
but…….our love is here to stay” ?

  208. Wow Emily, what a wordsmith – you have summed up the truth of all ages in beautifully simple verse. It is very powerful to feel and celebrate what we are a part of.

  209. Yes Emily,
“This is why we will always say,
That our love is forever and it’s here to stay”
Beauty-full, and healing to be reminded, thank you.

  210. Hi Emily, there are times when a few simple words will do, and your written verse has this quality. I enjoyed reading the rhythmic flow of the words.

  211. Said so simply…. how could anyone not feel its truth? A poem that doesn’t hold back, living the love we all naturally are with no compromises. Awesome. Thank-you for your gentle grace and humble strength, Emily. It is an inspiration.

  212. Simple, to the point and profound. I studied literature whilst in college and I never ever enjoyed reading poetry. This, as simple a little rhyme as it may be – was actually quite fun to read and I could tell you must have had some fun yourself in writing it too!

    Thank you for sharing Emily.
    Cheryl.

  213. This is awesome… while reading it, I pictured you on a stage gracefully rapping it out – in your glorious power.

  214. No compromise indeed. Thank you for your deeply beautiful expression – through your words I felt your love for humanity and your commitment to truth wrap around me like a giant warm hug!

  215. Your poem brought tears to my eyes – so beauty-FULL to feel your truth expressed for us all. It would make a lovely song!

  216. Bravo, brilliant and a hearty thank you for your gorgeously unique way of expressing your beauty!!

  217. Loved your glorious expression of truth in this poem, Emily, especially “OUR truth is unwavering with no compromise”, and “stand there and claim it with true strength in our voice”.

  218. Emily, I love your poem of truth so beautifully written – thank you and thank you for being who you truly are.

  219. Hey Emily. Wow… I enjoyed the way you have expressed this. Being truth-full can be fun! Thank you.

  220. Emily, this is so simple, so true… a beautiful piece that encapsulates it all in just a few lines. I absolutely love it and just feel to read it again and again…

  221. Dearest Emily, your poem brought tears to my eyes – what a stand to make with true strength and grace, what a petition to present to the whole human race, what a steadfastness here for us all to embrace!

  222. This is beautiful Emily!! Thank you for expressing this so deeply and true. I love the line – “that our love is forever and it’s here to stay”.
