September the Nineteenth in the Year Two Thousand and Sixteen, London, United Kingdom

Dear Body,

There has been no other like you who has stuck with me through thick and thin, never to give up on me, yet ironically the very one I had used and abused like I would no other!

Who else would down those small or copious amounts of alcohol, a substance defined by our very own scientists as poison, and force it onto the liver, your sweet organ of harmony, whilst you patiently kept processing the killer substance? No other kind would do this. And yet we (I) call ourselves an intelligent species.

And no matter how high off the Richter scale the mass per blood/alcohol volume level went, you stayed. You’d even look for ways to help me… make me purge the poison circulating your veins. Get that: I spewed poison into YOUR veins! What an audacity!

Still, you’d ‘force’ me to rest and sleep so that you could get me back to my sober state, only for me to get intoxicated and indulge in another glass of chilled white a few days later. I did in those moments question the definition of my own sanity.

Any time I got cold, flu, fever, ah and those horrendous perpetual headaches, I’d get cross. With you. Yes, ironically YOU. To me, you and all the symptoms were a nuisance, a great hindrance preventing me from doing what I pleased. With two ears and impeccable hearing ability I remained deaf to every communication from you, to all those little and the big signs, the only ways you knew how to speak with me.

Remember when you ended up in an emergency hospital with a vitamin B12 injection because your heart nearly packed up? Just because I had long and hard hung onto my ‘vegetarian’ badge, deeply steeped in the belief that ‘meat was murder’ all whilst you craved meat and needed it to eat. Of course you always KNEW what you needed. You even knew what I needed too.

I’d slam doors, fist the desk, threaten to boomerang my electronic device through the window and get seriously annoyed with internet service providers when I could not connect to send or receive emails; yet I would not even blink once in consideration when pouring coffee/caffeine down your throat causing chaos within your web of nerves and giving shock to your nervous system. Go figure! A Hypocrite as well.

I allowed even more poison inside you through loveless sex, an array of emotions, sugar, salt, pasta, pizza, cheese and chocolate, to name but a few, than I would have flushed down the toilet or shoved into a rubbish bin. You must have cringed when I sniggered at the gluten free crowd and how gutless I was about your messages from the gut? Part of me felt really glad that you were not given a sound of your own – for you would have screamed like it had never been heard before.

Instead of getting closer to you and being ONE with you my dear Body, I had consciously built a gulf between us.

When I found a small lump on your right breast and fear kicked in almost instantaneously that something malignant might be going on, guess who was the culprit (yet again). How dare you ‘give me a lump’!

Instead of stopping to say SO DEEPLY sorry I had dumped way too much disregard, self-loathing, hardness, lack of self-worth, lack of self-care (and more) on you, you were left with no other option/remedy but to put it in a pea size ball to get my attention, like Hello, to make me stop so that I would even consider taking a U-turn on the road of Self-Love.

You dear Body always found a way to communicate with me – I on the other hand like a tantrum-ing toddler stubbornly and paradoxically kept refusing to so much as lend you my ears.

We are All part of the Universe, hence the Universe is part of us too. And if this simple equation is true, which it is, whoever gave me the right to treat you like a commodity, like I might my car, or that blue t-shirt I enjoy wearing and the brown leather handbag I own – however I please. No way this kind of behaviour is practised anywhere else in the Universe.

I get given a wonder (you, the body) that does not belong to me, but whose particles belong to the Universe, to love, to cherish and to behold and what do I do with it? I abuse it. Let’s call it for what it truly is – An ultimate in Arrogance.

And then one day with my will and your lovely legs you drove me all the way to Somerset to meet Serge Benhayon. Your cells tingled (visibly) with Joy at the encounter, however, unawakened I at the time couldn’t quite explain why. Yet you knew. To you and all your six senses it was easy to detect and register a man who holds his body like one might a little water in the palm of the hand in a desert – reads precious.

You knew Serge to be all ears, eyes, nose and much, much more when it came to honouring the body. You had been patiently asking me to go there since I emerged from my mother’s womb and when you met Serge you whispered to me in the silence of the Universe that we had met an equal, a role model, a spark that would ignite the inextinguishable eternal fire within. You and your boundless wisdom. You sussed it – that we had arrived at the U-turn point and were well on our way to Re-turn to the Love we are made to be and live from.

You my dearest Body knew what a body of Truth (Serge Benhayon) felt like when you met one. High five!

I did like the feel of Serge at first sight too, but you… You loved him. No. You Adored him. You sensed that everything about your treatment was about to change to how you and the stars had always known it to be. You found that One human body that reflected God back to me so that I would know You (my body) is NOT mine to own. That you were given to me merely as a vehicle for the one and only registered, responsible and fully comprehensively insured driver – my Soul.

Our Soul.

One Soul.

You could tell that almost constant abuse I had subjected you to was about to cease, and how could you not smile and sparkle in celebration of that fact. You knew the time had cometh when I’d clock that you were given to me to serve a much greater purpose, and for that I had to keep you sacred and to keep you in stillness so that you and I could live and reflect the Divine on Earth.

Just one meeting with the ordinary (but oh, how extraordinary) man called Serge Benhayon. It’s all that took for you to be released from the shackles of my arrogant self. It took less than a moment and faster than the speed of light to experience the power of body particles between each other and how much can be communicated with no words but through vibration! Quantum physics like no lab could deliver!

Ever since then I have cried many tears when remembering all the harm I had inflicted upon you, and yet you never held any grudges. Not even as much as a raised eyebrow ;-)…

I would have loved to have written this letter to you as “our body” for that is how it truly is, but how could I make such a claim when all I had done for aeons had been the antithesis of ‘our’ – a union of body and Soul – and the responsibility this sweet word commands.

I had willingly and consciously been your biggest enemy.

Never again.

And You KNOW it.

Yours in True Service and Love,

Dragana

  1. Our bodies are in contact with so much more intelligence than our minds, that is a fact I have discovered. Thousands upon thousands of people have met Serge Benhayon and maybe considered it a chance meeting, but is it possible that there is no such thing a chance that it was constellated by the stars to meet with a man that constantly reminds us that we come from the stars. We are not of this plane of life and if anyone were to read the purple books written by Serge Benhayon they would read how and why we are stuck on this planet we call earth when we should actually be out there in the universe. Serge Benhayon makes complete sense of a way of life out of kilter, and out of love with itself.

  2. I love this Dragana, to your body and to mine. The hypocrisy of how we blame our bodies when they simply and lovingly show us the disharmonious energy we ingest is so painfully well presented. This completely outs the arrogance we walk around with and celebrates the loving wisdom of the body.

  3. Dragana thank you for writing this blog for you have written on behalf of my body too. How I’ve abused it over the years and the subtleties of it is still loitering around. I can only say thank God for Serge Benhayon for supporting us but most of all loving us for where we are today.

The abuse stands out more and more when we allow the body to speak as it will always will. Please always continue to speak. And at the end of the day the body will always be my boss, and from this I would like to continue to live from.

  4. We have been taught over many generations to think with our minds and to disregard our bodies. It has only been in these last 20 or so years that Serge Benhayon has given the world a different perspective of life that may be we should be listening to our bodies and not our minds as our mind has proven it self time and time again to be heartless. Knowing there is more to life than what we see at the surface level is the game changer.

    1. Mary so agree with you, as the mind is continually wanting to fix us quickly. The body on the other hand is constantly communicating to us before the issue develops into an issue.

  5. There are times when I too have realised how harsh I can be on myself and get to register how ‘abusive’ in so many ways I have been with myself – from simply things to taking on burdens, to not speaking up when something did not feel right, to over-eating when my body was clearly saying enough was enough, drinking or eating things that did not agree with me… and the list goes on…This is great to bring awareness to and begin to change the way we are with ourselves by being more loving and understanding.

  6. One could say we are from two worlds or that we have a foot in each world (the physical and worldly world and the not physical and otherworldly realms), but in reality we come from what is other-worldly, a divinity that holds its place in and with the stars, and are placed in this physical body to express it. So simple, and yet we can complicate this immensely.

  7. I have just re-read this blog and love the approach and the way it has been written – even just the start with writing out the date in words feels such as olde school and magical way to begin a book. And a book it is when we communicate with our body for this is so much going on and so many chapters to read on into.

  8. It is truly fascinating what our bodies know and can share if we can just stop long enough to listen.

  9. “I remained deaf to every communication from you,” True care and nurturing is the sweet song of the Universe to the particles of our body.

  10. I haven’t fully realised the extent my body communicates and why. On a basic level I can feel that I need to rest, to move and be active, to drink, eat, etc, and on another level again my body registers things that are true or not true, like when I am in a conversation. But I’ve never fully and humbly clocked that the body does all this to bring me back to the innate love and wisdom I am as an equal part of the Universe, and as an equal part of the body of God. That is a true friend that never wavers from the truth of who we are.

    1. Melinda we are sold so many lies on all levels one of the biggest lies is that we only have one life so make the most of it, go and indulge to your hearts content. Which keeps us distract from the truth that we do not belong on this plane of life, we are the introduced species. That in truth we come from the universe. As a result of the lies we have been hand fed the majority of people would scoff at the idea that we come from the universe, and years ago I would have been one of those people that’s for sure. However slowly over the last 15 years I have known Serge Benhayon I have had a complete turn around because I knew that my body was in constant communication with me but I chose to ignore its very wise words. But where was this intelligence coming from not my mind that’s for sure. Listening to my body rather than my mind has been a great gift I have given myself because it allows the body to be more open and to receive a greater intelligence than our minds will ever know that is a fact. The intelligence that our bodies naturally tap into is the intelligence of the universe.

  11. Optimising our awareness will one day be taught at schools so we become our own radar, as our bodies share so much when we listen to it.

  12. I never stop being amazed by the human body yet I only recently have come to respect, honour and love my body. However, I/we are so much more than our body as we are multi-dimensional, yet to express more and more our multi-dimensionality it requires us to constantly deepen being ‘at-one’ with our body.

  13. What a body – it’s showing us just how our movements allow us to be all we are.

  14. Our bodies are incredible and hold such deep wisdom, the more I honour this truth the easier it is to make choices that are not harming or abusive to myself.

    1. Anna this is something I am discovering, to let go of all the old patterns of self abuse and there are many and instead make those choices that are non harming to me or anyone else. The more we drop into the stillness that resides within us the more we can let go and life changes completely. It actually becomes a joy to wake up in the morning, rather than the dread of having to face yet another day.

  15. To appreciate and like you have Dragana what our bodies show us and the potential of the communication it offers, how it knows instantly what is true and what is not. Very cool and as you share it took Serge Benhayon who was living the truth of all that we are to reflect this and reminds of where we come from to.

    1. Our body does know instantly what is true, and what is not, how amazing and valuable is that in many ways?

    1. The wisdom of the body is very different to what we like to think is an intelligent human being, ‘Who else would down those small or copious amounts of alcohol, a substance defined by our very own scientists as poison, and force it onto the liver, your sweet organ of harmony, whilst you patiently kept processing the killer substance? No other kind would do this. And yet we (I) call ourselves an intelligent species.’

  16. We have this amazing vessel, our bodies which forever communicates the truth of how we’re living and it’s impact and we don’t listen, until we get to a point where we no longer can do that, and each of us will reach that point, it can be sooner rather than later, it can be with difficulty and pain or it can be simply questioning and knowing there is more to life – the choice is ultimately ours.

    1. Our body keeps communicating with us, what does it take for us to truly listen, ‘With two ears and impeccable hearing ability I remained deaf to every communication from you, to all those little and the big signs, the only ways you knew how to speak with me.’

  17. I loved reading this blog again, Dragana. You write this love letter to all our bodies. The body really is remarkable as to how it communicates and how it works to heal all the abuses we have imposed on it.

  18. Our body is something we take with us everywhere we go – we cannot avoid it, run away from it, or not go to sleep or wake up with it. But we can forget about it, numb ourselves out from it, dull ourselves out from it in a whole range of ways through the activities that we choose to and how we choose to do them. We have become masters at this latter, and now it is about becoming a master of being in the body and learning to care for it deeply and honour all we feel.

    1. Becoming a master at nurturing, honouring and cherishing our bodies feels such a wise choice.

    2. Henrietta we have become master at dismissing ourselves and therefore our bodies. When we are in the drive of doing to get things done we are not with ourselves and so in that disconnection we easily harm ourselves we only have to look at our current way of living to see how harming we are towards ourselves and each other.

  19. Sometimes it can be hard to understand a message from the body but that may be because we bombard our bodies with so many less than ideal actions and influences so we get multiple messages at once.

  20. “…my Soul. Our Soul. One Soul.” – all one and the same but anyway resonating differently in the body and recognized for the particular expressions of the Soul for us to reunite with it.

  21. The body is bound to love, the inhabiting being free to rebel against love, but due to the hosting body it never can escape the consequences of its unloving choices – the ultimate school for the spirit to be tamed back to the love it comes from and is part of, the Soul.

    1. Very true. It can postpone the reckoning or hide from itself that there is a reckoning but not avoid it altogether.

    2. Alexander Braun what you say feels true we are all participating in the school of life so that our wayward spirit can be tamed back to the love it wilfully separated from the one soul.

  22. It’s incredible what our bodies endure day in and day out before we stop and realise that our body is actually one of the most precious things we have, and if we cherish it and deeply look after it then life has an incredible richness and vitality to it, but if we continue to disregard it, poison it and do what we like then life will continue to be an uphill struggle.

    1. Looking after our bodies, cherishing and adoring them knowing they are, ‘You (my body) is NOT mine to own. That you were given to me merely as a vehicle for the one and only registered, responsible and fully comprehensively insured driver – my Soul.’

  23. On one hand, it doesn’t make sense that we treat our bodies with such disregard and then wonder why they are being very annoying by slowing us down, or stopping us, by being sick. But on the other hand, it does make sense as very few of us are truly educated about the preciousness and fragility of the body from very young. In fact, most of us are raised to push our bodies as hard as we can to achieve the perceived pinnacles of life. So, let’s get back to our wonderful children and begin to share with them about the magnificence and the understanding of their tiny priceless bodies before they begin to grow up in a world that is yet to value the human body as much as it could.

  24. Our greatest guide is our own body, and we often override its communication for something more comfortable, however when we do start to listen we realise that our choices change and as a result we start to understand and feel the depth of love that we are.

    1. This is so true Sally when we start to listen to our bodies our choices do change and as a result we naturally become less anxious our bodies let go of the stress and suddenly we don’t need that cup of coffee to keep us going because we are no longer in the nervous tension so our bodies actually have energy to do things rather than us relying on stimulants to keep us going. It’s amazing what can happen when we listen to our bodies.

  25. “I remained deaf to every communication from you, to all those little and the big signs, the only ways you knew how to speak with me.” When we realise that our body is our dearest friend we have a responsibility to stop and listen very carefully to all it is sharing with us.

    1. We would be a much wiser society if we stopped and listened to all our bodies are sharing with us.

  26. Our body invites us everyday to pay attention to do but do we or do we only pay attention to it when things go radically wrong with it? The choice is ours.

  27. To understand and then accept that our body is really our ‘best friend’ is a great step towards learning to treat it and respect it with the deep love and honouring that it deserves.

  28. My body has offered me the most loyal, loving, honest relationship I could ever have wanted. WE just have to value it and treat it with this same level of care.

  29. I absolutely live this Open letter to My Body. It is equally written for my body. I bow for you, my body, for what you represent and for bringing me back to where I come from. ‘I get given a wonder (you, the body) that does not belong to me, but whose particles belong to the Universe, to love, to cherish and to behold…’ Amen, I am all yours.

  30. That we do not own our body, that our body has intelligence beyond our mind’s comprehension is a hard one for our mind to accept so it stubbornly and arrogantly tries to prove otherwise by how much abuse it can inflict on the body only to have it backfire on ourselves. It’s a beautiful re-turn when it can give a way to accepting our body’s rejoice in recognition of a body of truth.

  31. Yes indeed… The things that we have imposed upon our bodies… The regimes, the diets, so much… And how extraordinary to start to actually listen to this temple of wisdom.

    1. A temple of wisdom it, the body, is indeed Chris – and one we get to carry with us no matter where we go. The wisdom that communicates deeply through on all levels, whether we listen and heed it or not.

    2. cjames2012 I agree with you we do live within a temple of wisdom which is what Jesus said I’m sure that the temple of God (wisdom) is inside us. Which is why I feel it is unnecessary to go anywhere to worship God as he is with us always. This has been one of the many lies that humanity has fallen for that we need to go to a place of worship or that some other person knows god more than we do… Where did that come from?

  32. There is only one body we have, and many times you will hear superlatives about how to take care of it, but the truth is, as said by Serge Benhayon – our body is the marker of truth, so not only is it something we need to take care of, but it is a compass for life, in every way.

    1. Heather what Serge Benhayon has said rings true for me, I have just come to the understanding that the pain in my shoulder is from the nervous tension I lived with as a child and have carried around in my body for years. I have always just put up with the pain not fully appreciating that the tension is ready to be released from within my body so that my body can truly heal.

  33. We really can never say that we do not know because in truth we always know and that is because our body always knows.

  34. Lovely Doug, this is exactly what they are and they are what we are in essence, everything else is not it, we have walked away from what matters and it is time to come back and return to who we are and live from that place of wisdom and love.

  35. I love this quote lets put this on car bumpers and out there on social media….”We are All part of the Universe, hence the Universe is part of us too.” simple, factual and something for us to deeply ponder.

    1. Beautiful quote I agree, ‘We are All part of the Universe, hence the Universe is part of us too.’

  36. At the school where I volunteer children are asked to respect each other. Why aren’t we taught to love and respect ourselves – and our own precious bodies? After all we are in a life-long relationship with them and with ourselves, the longest relationship we will have during our lifetime.

    1. Yes, so true Sue. We are made aware of that it is important to care and be respectful of others but where does it leave us if we do not learn and understand that we ourselves are precious and deserve to be treated with love. Self-love and self-care is the key to the respect we have for others, if we honour ourselves we honour everybody else equally.

  37. Such a beautiful blog Dragana. Yesterday on the maternity ward where I volunteer, I met so many tiny babies, at ease in their own skin. I felt saddened that most, at some point, will end up like do much of humanity, railing against the preciousness they truly are. We have it so wrong in society, not teaching our young ones to cherish their body and continue to connect with the energies they feel when so young. No surprise tho, as us adults didn’t have that support either – a vicious circle, until we wake up.

  38. Awesome love letter to the body, every time I read it I realize that I can take my relationship with my body deeper.

  39. I love the dedication our body has to keep us honest. I can tell myself anything but my body will reflect the absolute honesty of where I am at, and as hard as it may be to listen I deeply your dedication.

    1. The body cannot but be honest and this is a blessing and not a curse. This is what speaks to us at times very loudly to bring us back to being more loving with ourselves.

    2. Absolutely Lucy I made some sautéed potatoes for a friend recently and I decided with my mind that it was okay to have a few maybe I ate 5 or 6, big mistake I felt so tired I had to lie down for 30 minutes, my body tells me every time loud and clear, I cannot eat potatoes, but my mind insists I can!

  40. I love how the body responds to being cared for. This morning I put on some foot cream before going to work and my feet have been feeling amazing ever since.

  41. Such an honest and beautiful letter to write to your body Dragana, the way we treat and trash our bodies is self-abusive. When we begin to address these abusive behaviours we have accepted as ‘normal’ we can make more loving choices that honour and support the body.

  42. This is a beautiful letter to write to our bodies and I have read your letter Dragana to my body as there are a lot of similarities. I can recognise the gulf I consciously built between me and my body as I refused to forgive myself for past life choices and used them to beat myself up and this gave me an excuse be in complete disregard to my body. Meeting Serge Benhayon was life changing but it has taken many years to let go of all that I had created for myself; the self-loathing, disregard, self-abuse, wayward behaviour. But the pull back to God and the universe is so strong, that I have been able to dissolve the lies I have been living believing them to be true. When we live life a certain way for such a long time it becomes our reality, thankfully for me I met Serge Benhayon and Universal medicine and with this support in place I have put down the cudgel I used to self-bash and can see/ feel myself as the very fabric of the universe.

  43. The beliefs we can become so attached to and hold in our body can be with us for lifetimes. How we can think by abusing ourselves we are supporting animals or through working hard, in the mean time abusing the body, is what life is all about? Yet, just by allowing ourselves to sense what is not true, those beliefs that are past on from generation to generation, we get a glimpse of what is true and begin the journey step by step to discarding the what is not to live the what is… truth and love from and in connection to our body.

  44. This blog is so sweet, there is such care in the way you have expressed what your relationship with your body is like at the moment – always an inspiration.

  45. Its so important that we see the emotions that we choose to carry as poisons to our body. They are deemed as normal parts of being human. But they have serious consequences on our body. We are so much more than physical and through attending presentations by Serge Benhayon I have a much better understanding of this and how I can live very practically through life without emotions being a normal part of it.

  46. With our escalating rates of disease and illness it makes sense for us all to wake up and start taking better care of ourselves, our bodies and each other.

  47. Our choices with our body is far from intelligent and we only have to view the statistic on illness and disease to feel we are far from listening to what is on offer.

  48. It is such a joy to read this blog and the truth of it. That when our bodies see and feel someone like Serge Benhayon – they know in an instant what loving the body truly is.

  49. As I was reading this Letter to My Body I could feel how often I disconnect from my body. We live in a world that has a greater focus on the intelligence of the mind and what we have experienced in the past or creating a picture of how we want it to be in the future. The path of truth with the body requires an absolute honest consistency…

    1. Rik if we were too clock every time we disconnect to our bodies I feel we would be stunned. It is so easy to slip into the doing and leave our bodies behind and then pick them up again when we have finished the day. Then we wonder why we feel incomplete and need something to bring it all back together again. I have noticed if I stay with myself while I work and don’t park a part of me to one side, at the end of the day I do not need to be stimulated or feel empty so need to fill myself up with something, I just feel very content with the day and ready to wind down to go to bed so I can do it all again.

  50. My body tingled as I read this, like you say Dragana it is so easy to communicate through vibration I don’t even need to be standing in front of you to feel the integrity in every word written here.

  51. We can so often see the body as enemy number one, especially if we get sick or can’t make our bodies do what we want them to do. However, seeing the body as our best friend when it lets us know we have overdone things, lets us know through feeling when something is wrong or very right and indeed how it feels to be in it when we are connected and are making loving choices changes our perception of it and supports us to want to nurture it and care for it – honouring ourselves in the process leading to more awareness and understanding in turn.

  52. “It took less than a moment and faster than the speed of light to experience the power of body particles between each other and how much can be communicated with no words but through vibration! Quantum physics like no lab could deliver!” – now that is the best description of quantum physics that I have ever heard.

  53. Amazing blog Dragana! The obedience of the body’s particles to divinity and to the magnetic pull of evolution is stunning and certainly our saving grace. The human spirit abuses the body so that it can stay individualised , so that it can stay the master and king of chaos on earth – it certainly doesn’t want the God-given particles our body is composed of to show us the way home to the glorious order of love and truth.

  54. “I get given a wonder (you, the body) that does not belong to me, but whose particles belong to the Universe, to love, to cherish and to behold…”- To me, this is one of the main amazing points Dragana has made in this blog because it offers us all an opportunity to feel just how GRAND we are in that our bodies particles are shared with every other heavenly body and we are simply stewards of this coordinated arrangement of particles to be used to express in a way that matches the grandness we are from.

  55. “September the Nineteenth in the Year Two Thousand and Sixteen, London, United Kingdom

Dear Body,….” – Dragana what i love about this, how you write the date especially… is that i can see it in the future, that what you write here about the body, your body, is something i know i would ‘come across to find’ as a marker in history, of the ages… Where your post echoes the remembrance of how we used to live, and what we stood for. From creation to co-creation, truth, and the light of our soul.

  56. Our body receives so much abuse from us whilst at the same time trying to tell us that what we are doing to it is harming it. What arrogance then is it on our part to insist on not listening to its wise messages?

  57. I also hung onto my vegetarian ideals with white knuckle determination, well after my body had been crying for a protein rich diet. I heard its plea but chose to eat bucket loads of dairy and more eggs in an attempt to make up for the lack of protein. This simply resulted in gaining lots of weight and feeling exhausted from being poorly nourished. My body knew that when I was pregnant and breast feeding, the vegetarian diet I ate would not cut it. I wish I had taken more notice of it, over my ideals and text books. Some of us are slow learners (stubborn) and choose to learn the hard way!

  58. Like a dog on a leash that’s dragged around all over town, our body cops a lot. And just because we stop hitting our cells quite so hard we say our life is ‘good’. But Dragana you show to us it’s high time we let our body lead, fed and nurtured it like the loyal, sweet natured leader of the pack it is.

  59. The most patient friend we could ever wish for – our body, given to us to eventually come to that turning point you mention, Dragana, for otherwise how would we recognise the waywardness of the path we once have chosen while being in the arrogance of having the right to act as we like without considering the greater whole.

  60. So beautifully expressed how Serge Benhayon treats its body and us as a whole as well.’To you and all your six senses it was easy to detect and register a man who holds his body like one might a little water in the palm of the hand in a desert – reads precious.’

    1. Yes, there is a reflection of truth, love and a dedication to recognise the level of care we can and should have for our bodies.

  61. Dragana it seems that many of us share your experience of abuse of our bodies. Whatever we indulge in – food, emotions, addictions – will be felt and carried in the body, and I know that the most loving thing that I have done for my body is to listen and take heed of what Serge is presenting. I love the power and simplicity of this line: ‘We are All part of the Universe, hence the Universe is part of us too.’

  62. And just imagine, if our body was able to write back to us all, let us know exactly what we have been doing and what we are doing and the definitive consequences of our actions.

  63. How can one read and just move on from this article, it has stopped me in my tracks and I can feel the uncomfortable squirm as I know I have played all of these games with my body and then some! Thank you Dragana for letting me feel firstly my irresponsibility and then for also feeling how precious the vehicle of my soul is.

  64. The body has a mission to be our vehicle, to make us feel what abuse is so we can learn that there are some paths not worth pursuing and to be the medium for us to feel our divinity if we so wish to feel it. We can choose freely what relationship do we want to have with our body. Different possibilities will then come our way. Life will look and feel distinctively different depending on our (free) choice.

  65. It seems that we treat our bodies far worse than we would dream of treating another. We make self-disregard normal, so much so, that those that choose to eat healthily and choose not to drink, are considered, at best abnormal and at worst, weird.

  66. It is facinating how we can ignore and have so much disregard to our bodies and towards ourselves and not think twice about it. I came to a realisation with the support of Universal Medicine that we only have the one body and it is 100% connected with our being also and it is our responsibility to look after it.

  67. What an amazing commitment to your body Dragana and a joy to read. We overlook the little things we do to abuse ourselves but this is such a powerful and exposing letter that I can certainly relate too.

  68. ‘Just one meeting with the ordinary (but oh, how extraordinary) man called Serge Benhayon. It’s all that took for you to be released from the shackles of my arrogant self. It took less than a moment and faster than the speed of light to experience the power of body particles between each other and how much can be communicated with no words but through vibration! Quantum physics like no lab could deliver!’ Exactly – I just love this paragraph Dragana!

    1. Jenny I agree with you what has been shared shows that we do know that our particles carry the intelligence of the universe and that is how we should be communicating particles to particles as they carry an intelligence that is grander and greater than the mind we rely on. I wonder why we rely on our minds but not our particles, we seem to have this the wrong way around?

  69. Great to be reminded of this fact, ‘I get given a wonder (you, the body) that does not belong to me, but whose particles belong to the Universe, to love, to cherish and to behold and what do I do with it? I abuse it. Let’s call it for what it truly is – An ultimate in Arrogance.’ And a big ouch.

  70. Our body, not my body, yes that would flip our behaviour on its head! The arrogance we live with in our relationship with our body staggers me. I am staggered by the choices I have made and still do make which put pressure and tension in my body which our body is now used to dealing with, but decisions that I am aware it is losing patience with and the feedback loop is getting quicker and more expressive. I am indebted to the fact it has not given up entirely because now I can see very clearly it is our body not my body and we have work to do.

  71. “It’s all that took for you to be released from the shackles of my arrogant self.” ditto when you meet Serge your life is changed forever, you meet a man who is living truth, living the everything we are and without a drop of arrogance just pure inspiration.

  72. The abuse of your body that you describe is unfortunately common everyday place in our society today, and then we all wonder why we have this illness or disease. Perhaps if we started to live in a more loving and honouring way of our bodies the statistic rates of illness and disease would go down.

  73. It is totally liberating to be able to look back and realize that what we called intelligence in the past was void of that very thing that is at the core of it all, and that is our bodies, as it is through our connection within that we get access to the deep wisdom of the universe that is accessible to all.

  74. This is one of the most beautiful love letters I’ve ever read. The body stops us because we need to be stopped. Every reflection it offers is absolute love.

    1. So beautifully expressed Leonne. Ultimately I realised the huge love that was behind the event of my broken foot last year and the incredible clearing of old behaviours and with unlimited grace of the healing that i was given. Love is at the back of all disease in the sense that there is Love, then there is us straying from love, and then the body lets us know, and that is love too.

  75. Beautiful to read Dragana thank you, my body knew too the truth of one living from his true essence with deep love and intregity , when I first met Serge my body knew that it had at last come home no more searching, here was the truth that it knew so well.

  76. “Of course you always KNEW what you needed. You even knew what I needed too.” Absolutely – our body doesn’t lie – no matter how much we may resist its attempts to tell us something is wrong. We can rail against it for letting us down and blame outside influences, but as Serge Benhayon assures us “the body is the marker of all truth”. Listening to our body’s messages – and honouring them – is a pathway to good health.

  77. As Serge Benhayon has said ‘the body is the marker of all truth’ and this is so true, it knows, feels and senses everything and is a marker of how we have lived and no matter how ill we have treated it, as you have seen, it welcomes a u-turn back to the love we truly are at any time. No judgement, no delay. It just is. It just does and after just finishing an Esoteric Yoga session I can testify it feels so lovely when we take that u-turn back to love .. back to truth.

  78. Everyday we need to appreciate the fact that the particles that make up the body come from God and because of that we know the body will always tell us the truth of what is occurring for us.

    1. And it’s from that appreciation and regard for what we truly are that allows the magic to happen 🙂

  79. Great to read this again and to really deepen my understanding of just how intelligent the body is and all that it knows.

  80. It is pretty horrific how we as humans continue to treat our bodies. Thank you for highlighting that fact in this blog, ‘Instead of stopping to say SO DEEPLY sorry I had dumped way too much disregard, self-loathing, hardness, lack of self-worth, lack of self-care (and more) on you, you were left with no other option/remedy but to put it in a pea size ball to get my attention, like Hello, to make me stop so that I would even consider taking a U-turn on the road of Self-Love.’ Our bodies are so wise and loving surely they are worth treating with love.

  81. Our bodies hold all and allow us to access a great wisdom and constant learning through our choices, behaviours and expressions shared. A life lived with the body is a divine step towards evolvement and a constant unfolding of the what is and the what is not love.

  82. We have the ability through our bodies to connect to a level of wisdom beyond what we can fathom, for it is our natural way of being to meet life through what we feel and know is truth and not the complexities and abuse that come from the mind which takes away from the simplicity and joy of life.

    1. Thank you Francisco, it is in building a relationship with the stillness that is our natural way that we can tell the difference between the simplicity and the complication and between the frustration and the joy our relationship with our body and life can be.

  83. Our bodies know truth and because of that we can have direct access to all that God knows. All that is required is for us to love and cherish this most beautiful vehicle.

    1. Gorgeously put Elizabeth. And it’s the exact reason so many bludgeon their body into dullness with food, drugs, alcohol, stress, sport and countless other numbing strategies. We don’t want the responsibility that this incredible wisdom asks of us.

  84. Bringing ourselves in line with the body, it’s movements and what it feels is the antidote to anxiety, insecurity and need – because in this union we are shown that we are equipped to handle life with everything we ever wanted.

  85. It doesn’t make sense when we come to understand the immense wisdom and preciousness of our body that this isn’t shared with every child from day one. But then the majority of those who are raising the next generation were also raised by a generation who were not offered this knowledge either, and so the cycle repeats and repeats. It’s definitely time for this destructive cycle to be broken down and replaced by a cycle of self-care and self-love for this amazing vehicle that is our body..

  86. Our body is our first home. It makes absolute sense that we should treat it with honour and respect. And if we are not treating ourselves right, with love, respect and gentleness, then how can we have a humanity that is harmonious and loving towards each other? Thank you Dragana for bringing it back to basics.

    1. Absolutely Debra love and respect start with ourselves first, not until we have a relationship with ourselves that we can trust can we begin to really relate to others in this way.

    2. Yes – if we cannot lovingly nurture our own bodies then we can not hope to create a loving and harmonious family, let alone a harmonious and loving society. We cannot say one thing and do another. Our actions and movements speak more loudly than any words do. If we want a loving life and society, we have to start with ourselves first.

  87. While we need meat it is indeed a huge disservice to our body and therefore our health to deny the fact and not eat it in order to serve an ideal and belief. When the time is truly right to not eat meat, the body will let us know. The true choice cannot be a mind-driven choice.

    1. Yes I agree, as I was vegetarian for many years and was so identified by this, in the end my body was screaming out for meat, I finally ate some and couldn’t believe the difference I felt in my energy levels and also the many cravings I used to have also stopped.

  88. No wonder we often make such bad bosses and employers, it makes a lot of sense when you examine how we are with ourselves. The only thing that has been able to explain this crazy behaviour to me, is the fact of the spirit and the Soul. The thing I walk away knowing after reading your words Dragana, is for most of my life my spirit has been running me. The Soul is not about making things a little bit better – it works in a completely different way. And so, am I prepared to leave behind the familiar comfort of habits and step forward with Love as my way? We have everything we need to live this today.

  89. It’s amazing the body’s ability to regenerate itself despite the abuse we have inflincted to it. It makes me reflect on its divine origin through its particles. This regeneration feels like God’s continual releases of Love, no matter the choices we make, his love for us is everlasting. The same happens with our body; even though our body has its limits, it has an ongoing will to come back to the love it comes from.

  90. I love your honesty Dragana and reading these words today allow me to take a moment and truly appreciate and confirm how much I love learning and deepening my own relationship with my body and see that yes it may not be perfect but we are constantly shifting and exploring the way we live life everyday and that is a pretty cool.

  91. This blog is nothing short of sharing the responsibility we all hold in the way we choose to connect or not connect to the universe and what is on offer when we are willing to feel our grandness.

  92. As I read this I sneezed three times but my body felt a lovely warmth and delicateness circulating within it. No the relationship with my body is not perfect, but there is a willingness to deepen and to discover. There is no idea how this is done, but following what is being felt, I trust that the body will be with me all the way. I just have to listen and be very honest.

  93. Dragana you have brought tears to my eyes, wow. What an incredible blog and one I shall reread over again to feel the depth of love and honoring that is needed for this incredible body that I have been blessed to move in. Thank you.

  94. Definitely not the intelligent species when I only operate from one small part of intelligence rather than the whole body’s wisdom.

    1. Yes, it’s crazy how we live a reduced version of ourselves when we can be open to the wisdom of the whole body and its intelligence.

  95. There is absolutely nothing intelligent when we use and abuse our bodies the way we do these days, people might seem ok on the outside but the quality of movement and joy in their bodies is non-existent. It is only until we realize that our bodies are the gateway to everything there is and the more care and love we treat ourselves with the more wisdom and true joy we can live with, and that is true intelligence!

  96. Thank you Dragana, great to read this again. Til today I hadn’t really considered the body a parcel of energy, and not just any energy but a divine collection of particles which belong to the universe. It really changes the approach and relationship to my body. We tend to look at the body for self only, and not in a caring and cherishing way, but as something to be selfishly used (and abused) with complete disregard to how that body affects others (and the universe) and as a confounding point – also the self! What we do to our bodies we would never do to a car. This has been a great wake up call to read today as I can see a myriad of ways I still harm and poison my body with emotions and stress – time for another clean out of behaviours and for love to take their place.

  97. It’s so, so much better to be a friend to our bodies rather than treat them like the enemy. Attacking ourselves in this way just doesn’t make sense.

  98. “You my dearest Body knew what a body of Truth (Serge Benhayon) felt like when you met one.” Yes Dragana, my dearest body also knew what the body of truth that is Serge Benhayon felt like when it met him too. It is crazy how we have ignored the signs of truth and love on offer for so long, but it is never too late to change and to live this truth that we innately know for ourselves.

  99. Coming back to reread this blog Dragana is very humbling. To read that it is very much our responsibility as to how we treat our bodies, even though we don’t want to take that responsibility. But I feel a deeper sense of doing so having read this.

  100. A pertinent reminder that emotions can also cause distress to the body…it can be easy to think only of the food, and drink but also the way we are with ourselves can either be harmonious or cause dis-ease with the body. When we are hard on ourselves, or think of ourselves less than the true magnificence we truly are, that is also abusive to the body.

  101. It is amazing how ignorant and arrogant we are when it comes to the body. We have a beautiful gift in that the body is the marker of all truth, it knows exactly what is true for us yet we over ride all its signs as you have shown here Dragana, so that we can indulge in our own creation and desires that are abusive and harming to the body and to ourselves.

  102. This ‘love’ letter is so absolutely extraordinarily beautiful that it brought me to tears re-reading it. We sure do put our body through a lot and then expect it to be fine with whatever abuse we do to it. Of course it is not fine and that is why the rates of illness and disease are so much on the increase.

  103. Wow Dragana, I have just come back to reread this and it is just as impactful the next time around. What a profoundly gorgeous blog. I am sure I am not alone in relating the every single line of this, how we can treat the body, our body. That we can abuse or love and listen. It is up to us.

  104. What is amazing about the body is that it will always invite you to go deeper – deeper into the delicateness and preciousness we naturally all are. The more we care for our body in all ways – that is not allowing the smallest iota of assault or abuse from ourselves or others – the more our body beacons up the gateway to our essence, our soul. There, where only love resides. the depth of preciousness, which we can then bring to our daily lives, our relationships and to all.

  105. I am inspired by this conversation with the gut…and whole body…”Instead of getting closer to you and being ONE with you my dear Body, I had consciously built a gulf between us.” how come we grow up and don’t get taught to connect with our body, we get told to be in our head and then everything starts separating….it is devastating for our health and our joy levels. We can not be joy-full in a compromised body – Fact.

  106. There are many many conditions we have as human beings that could be prevented if we would listen to our bodies. Like your great examples of being a stick vegetarian to the point of ending in emergency units and drinking alcohol the other very obvious one. I could at the fact we can eat many times more than we need and all kind of foods we don’t need to end up with a body twice or triple times the size it should be with all the problems that come with that. We might say we have issues and yes there have things happened in life but it is great to remember we always have a choice just like you Dragana.

  107. What a wonderful account of coming to that vital ‘U’ turn to the Re-Turn to Soul Dragana. Just ignore all road signs which say ‘No U-turn here’, and come straight back home.

  108. Wow Dragana, it is such a joy to read this powerful letter and your deep appreciation to Serge Benhayon for consistently reflecting true love and wisdom always.

  109. It is incredible how much can be communicated through vibration, even without any words! And reminds me how we are communicating with each other all the time in this way – how our way of living is affecting our body and everybody.

  110. This is so true about Serge Benhayon ‘a man who holds his body like one might a little water in the palm of the hand in a desert – reads precious.’ and in doing so the reflection he gives to all with even just walking past someone and not saying anything, or saying one word or looking into your eyes is HUGE. I really felt this today after meeting with Serge through a 30 second impromptu conversation and I walked away feeling EVERYTHING including feeling how much more loving I can be with myself and others just through sharing a few words about my day.

  111. Our bodies are amazing, and they will show us the way, and if we live in this way , with a simplicity and love, the way will be paved for our children to do the same, and the tide of disease and dysfunction will turn

  112. A love letter like no other Dragana. Very beautiful to read. I recently found out that I have a gene mutation that makes it very difficult for my body to eliminate toxins. When I found out I shuddered remembering the copious amounts of alcohol, cigarettes and other toxins I used to pump into my body without a second thought. Of course I knew these things were toxic for everyone, but for me the affects of indulgence have always been glaringly obvious. You remind me to let go of the judgments and regrets and instead appreciate and respect this body I have been given responsibility for.

  113. Our bodies are incredibly honest and masters of truth. But we treat them indifferently and with contempt. Even with that our bodies never waver and continue to present the truth to us day in and day out. Our bodies are the best friends we have always wanted and looked for but we choose not to see, even though they are right there in every moment with us. Our bodies are our greatest teachers.

  114. What a rich and honest blog – sharing with us the openness to see how we have lived and the abuse we have allowed. No beating up is needed, just simply allow, observe and understand – appreciate that you are on your way to return to the love you are. There is nothing wrong about that. Neither we should make our journey heavy in any way shape or form. We return to the Soul which is Light.

  115. I love reading your letter Dragana. If we are going to harm ourselves – let’s at least be honest without judgment, guilt or any other emotional decoy so we can return to loving, caring choices immediately we become aware. Other wise we just feed the pool of harm.

  116. Reading this really brings home the abuse we so easily put our bodies through, and still expect it to carry on, regardless of our behaviour.

  117. A joy to read this again and the beautiful letter you share here Dragana. It is true we can use our minds as separate when in fact they are a key part of whole body intelligence. What an opportunity we have to deeply honour and connect to our bodies.

  118. Dear body, you tell me when I’m caring for you, you tell me when I’m not. You never ever lie, you are patient beyond belief and will repeat what needs to be said again and again until I hear you. You love me at a depth that were I to feel that, I would never not care for you again.

  119. We are quite good at using our body to get us what we want when we engage with the world. We are not that great though when we relate to ourselves and to the body.
We engage with the world in ways that somewhere deep inside us we know that does not honour us in full and sometimes even dishonour us. The body is the only thing we have to truly learn about life and to evolve. How we relate to is essential.

  120. This blog feels like a code of conduct we could all be inspired to live by. There is so much here to stop and take note of. A clear letter of love to the body of how we choose time and time again to ignore the signals that are given in every movement that offer us harmony and stillness.

  121. Wow that was a powerful read, I am about to go to bed and lovingly appreciate this glorious body for all it divinely is, a member of the universe.

  122. Dragana this is a gorgeous, inspiring and powerful blog. I love the style of expression, it is deeply honest, open and relatable. It sounds crazy how arrogant and disregarding we can be to our body. No species I know on earth would self-harm to the degree humans do. This shows me how disharmonious and unwell we are as a race to accept abuse to our body as normal.

  123. Dragana, this is sooo beautiful to read, I can feel myself appreciating and adoring my body when I read it, I love this, ‘you were given to me to serve a much greater purpose, and for that I had to keep you sacred and to keep you in stillness so that you and I could live and reflect the Divine on Earth.’ Wow much to ponder on here.

  124. ‘Just one meeting with the ordinary (but oh, how extraordinary) man called Serge Benhayon. It’s all that took for you to be released from the shackles of my arrogant self. It took less than a moment and faster than the speed of light to experience the power of body particles between each other and how much can be communicated with no words but through vibration!’ The science of energy and vibration is yet to be discovered by the mass of people. This is the greatest science on earth and one that governs the whole universe. Very simple and powerful.

  125. Learning to speak to the body is one of the most important things, yet we ignore ignore ignore!

  126. I love coming back to read this blog, it is very confirming in that we can talk to our bodies, honour it, love it and listen to it. It is a wise and intelligent being, it is just up to us to be responsible in connecting to it and appreciating all that it offers us.

  127. It’s refreshing to read something like this. Our bodies speak to us all the time in many little ways. We hardly ever speak back to them with kindness and understanding. To have a conversation with our body in this way is important and healthy. It is a self loving act rather than simply disregarding the body and its signals.

  128. Conceding, recognising and accepting that our body is deeply tender and the vehicle through which we can express who we really are on this earthy realm is something we will all eventually need to come to. It is humbling and it is what will unify us all as a human race.

  129. If we understood how much our bodies can support us to reconnect to the truth of who we are, and sidestep the crazy machinations of the wilful spirit then we would afford it far greater honouring and respect, and in that allow the body its true purpose as an instrument for the Soul’s expression on earth.

  130. The concept that our body does not belong to us, but is made up of the particles of the universe, of which we are a part is a long, long way from how we are taught to see the body. As we baby step our way into an awareness that life is about more than we think it is, this revelation will unfold.

  131. This letter – which is actually a love letter is written on behalf of the very many. I can certainly relate to all that is shared. I work with people who are sick all the time and observe how we punish our body for all that it is communicating. I can understand that we do not like the messages it is communicating, for it communicates responsibility. There is no judgement by our body just truth and all it does is ask us to observe and listen.

  132. A dear friend and teacher of mine has been talking of late about all the ‘text messages’, that is communications, that we receive from our bodies all of the time that we tend to ignore, for example, painful periods, backache, aches here and there etc. If we continue to ignore these communications then of course the body will have to give us bigger and bigger messages so that we eventually STOP and ask what is going on. This is the absolute beauty of having a body, that it does reflect all of our choices and eventually we are forced at some level to look at how we are living.

  133. What a gorgeous blog Dragana, from all angles thank you for writing what you have experienced your relationship with your body to be – and how it is now changing and how you are choosing now to listen to its communication.. I had this same feeling of absolute contentment within my own body when I first entered an Universal Medicine workshop, as the presenter was living this absolute respect to its body again. It is only by this lived expression (reflection of how he lives his life), that I got inspired that I could do so again.. Just like you Dragana.

  134. Your words here Dragana could so easily apply to the people in our life. We so often ignore, berate and harshly block out those who are close to us. We angrily attack what they have to say if it does not fit in with our pictures. We sometimes look to the wars and squabbles we have and shake our head but do we dare see as you clearly show that the fight or harmony starts within us and the way we are with our body. What follows is just a mirror to show us the truth of how we are choosing to be.

  135. Dragana, I just love how you have dismantled so many accepted normals in this conscious changing blog, normals that have lead so many of us to abuse our bodies in ways that have been hugely destructive. We chose to be deaf to its messages and blind to what it showed us, while we pretended everything was fine and that’s what we were doing and the symptoms we were experiencing were actually normal. And there was our precious body carrying us steadfastly through years of abuse until there came a time when it said – yelled – no more and lovingly offered us the opportunity to make a “U-turn on the road of Self-Love” knowing it was up to us whether we took it, or not.

  136. Are we appreciating and celebrating our body and so allowing it to express and reflect everything that we all are, or abusing and reducing it to hide and not be here?

  137. Our body is truly amazing. It does everything to keep it going. We don’t even have to ask the heart to keep beating, it knows exactly what to do at any given moment. It is nothing but Love. But the way most of us treat it just so does not equate to it, it makes no sense – unless we assume our mind belongs elsewhere and has a completely different agenda.

  138. Honouring and treating my body with respect makes more and more sense to me these days. It’s a shame it has taken me decades to figure it out. People who have realised this and live in a way that demonstrates this care and respect are a great reflection for others and for the young people they come into contact with. To be honest I feel its something that should be taught in schools from kindergarten right the way up.

  139. The body can carry us in our fullness each day if we honour it and allow it to.

  140. When we truly look at the way the majority of us treat our body it would be fair to question just what it is that we call intelligent! For how can a true intelligence be one that is at ease with abusing our body whilst passing it off as normal..?

  141. Wow, just love this blog, such a great reminder to truly honour what our body is constantly communicating with us and to have a loving relationship with that.

  142. We have been given a body that is in constant communication with the universe if we so choose to, so to treat it like a vessel of energy through our livingness is the only way forth in our connection with the all.

  143. I love how you have presented this subject and blog, yes our bodies are like our best friend, they are amazing.

  144. “You (my body) is NOT mine to own. That you were given to me merely as a vehicle for the one and only registered, responsible and fully comprehensively insured driver – my Soul.” This is an enormous and gigantic shift in our current thinking and the way we are in relationship to our body.

    1. Yes- and it makes total sense then that really looking after our body is the way to rebuild a connection with it and the deeper part of ourselves.

  145. We all abuse our bodies in different ways! I agree that connecting to Universal Medicine and the Presentations of the Serge Benhayon, plus his example of being in the Livingness has been profound in its effect on me.

  146. These tantrums that we have directed outwards to blame situations have proved pointless and also so damaging to our beautiful bodies. The way that we are, that we let our being be, is the most crucial choice to make in life. I can totally relate to the absurdity and hypocrisy that you expose here Dragana: ‘I’d slam doors, fist the desk, threaten to boomerang my electronic device through the window and get seriously annoyed with internet service providers when I could not connect to send or receive emails; yet I would not even blink once in consideration when pouring coffee/caffeine down your throat causing chaos within your web of nerves and giving shock to your nervous system. Go figure! A Hypocrite as well’.

  147. Bodies are like dogs. They are our best buddies and never give up on us. It is us that give up on them. The problem, in this case, is that there is not them without us (while we are in incarnate form at least). We may choose not to become aware but mistreating the body and asking it to cope with the lot we throw at it is a mere reflection of how are we treating ourselves and what are we really choosing to do in this life. The body is a big treasure. It is not just flesh. It is also particles and nadies. It is the universe.

  148. A gorgeous expression of developed understanding and appreciation of what you once ignored. Sadly we have all been guilty of disregarding the beauty and wisdom of the body and what it houses and the power that can be embraced when it is honoured as it should be.

  149. Our bodies are amazing – they really do put up with so much and keep on presenting love back to us. What a gift that they can continuously give us signs of how we are living. They are the best consultant, advisor, therapist we could ask for! And it is all free – in the palm of our own hands. Connecting to our bodies – allowing them to communicate with us is life changing. And life saving.

  150. Why is it that we find the body a nuisance when it stops functioning in way that prevents us from doing the things that we ‘want’ to do? If our young son or daughter fell sick with fever or broke their arm, we would not be annoyed and find them a nuisance. We would organise to take some time off and spend time caring for them and most likely delight in the fact that we were there for them! But we tend not to do the same for ourselves – as adults when we get sick, we ‘soldier’ on, AND we also tend to get annoyed or angry at ourselves/our body for slowing us down and we find the body a nuisance. This is very exposing in how we treat ourselves and our relationship with self/Soul. After all the body is our connection, our bridge to Soul and God, so if we get annoyed by the body we are essentially saying no to our deepest, oldest and most true relationship…Looking at it this way makes one think twice about what we do to our body and how we respond or react to being unwell, the foods we eat etc etc. Thank you Dragana for this refreshing blog on our body and our connection to Soul and God, which exposes our arrogance and offers us a choice to return to the humbleness that respects and honours the body, our body, the one body.

  151. “I had willingly and consciously been your biggest enemy”. This is a common problem with the way we relate to our bodies. This causes all sorts of problems when we get sick. We blame our body, angry that it has ‘let us down’ and is stopping us from getting on with life as usual. This attitude stops us from looking at what we have done to create this illness, whether directly or indirectly. Having a loving and obedient relationship with your body changes everything, as there is a willingness and desire to do no harm.

  152. Developing regard for our bodies and refining our self care and self love is an ever deepening process but so worth it when we consider what we are really here to do.

  153. I love this love letter to the body. Someone was telling me the other day how they went home from work, drank 6 beers while sitting in an outdoor swimming pool in 36 degree heat and he wondered why he did not feel so great the next day! The things that we expect the body to put up with are quite shocking really.

  154. This is powerful. When we meet ‘a body of truth’ our own body knows it on a deep level. Knowing this comes with responsibility. The responsibility of knowing that if I live to the level of awareness I have, then I too can present a body of truth to others for them to feel.

  155. Thank you Dragana. Our body only ever tells us the truth however much we try to ignore it. When we truly listen it becomes our true friend as we find our way back to the essence of our Divine being..

  156. Rebuilding a connected relationship with our bodies is a labour of love – there’s a lot of abuse, habits and patterns to reverse out of. Yet I’m finding it one of the most satisfying projects I’ve ever undertaken. The closer I am to my body, the simpler and more delicious life becomes – and – the simpler and more delicious I become.

  157. Like a loveless marriage, we only stay in our relationship with our body for what we can get out of it. We tend to see ourselves as separate to our body. Treating it as separate we can blame, abuse, fight our body and take not an ounce of responsibility for what happens to it. Doesn’t really make sense since it is our body and there is no one driving this vehicle except us.

  158. I love this blog and the relationship I have and am developing with my body everyday. One that is going away from ignoring its messages and building the honouring of how it feels. Every message when listened to leads to absolute gold, a lightening feeling and joy that nothing outside of the body could ever match.

  159. Your words to your body Dragana: ‘I had willingly and consciously been your biggest enemy’ are so true. There are so many subtle energies that we allow and employ, not just the more apparent things like emotions, drugs, alcohol, that keep the body imprisoned – for example, allowing any energy to reign in our body which keeps us for being in our full authority in life. This too is disease for the beautiful body and will manifest sooner or later as an illness.

  160. I don’t think there is a person alive who could not relate to this blog, and the abusive choices we make when it comes to how we use our body. But the body does have a very loud way of getting us to pay attention, and sometimes feels like it is buckling under the weight of our ill choices, and responds with demonstrating this in the form of an illness. However it is a shame that we have not yet learnt to read the messages of our bodies, and that instead we choose to suffer – as a reflection the NHS is buckling under the pressure also, due to our ill choices.

  161. This is such a cool sharing and really makes me stop and consider all the ways I have abused my body in order to push through. And all the while it has stayed with me, ever faithful, ever responsive. A changing relationship that I can say is still developing, but developing in a more gentle and loving way that I would never of welcomed before. And now I have amazing role models around me who are so feminine and inspire me and my body to connect to the fact that I too am a gorgeous woman who does not need to push herself.

  162. Love it Dragana, we can try and blame our body for its ailments but deep in our heart we know that what plays out in our bodies is courtesy of our own choices.

  163. Oh my sweet God, I love this blog, I recognize it till the top of my awareness and so I can equally and will equally say this to my body: thank you for always supporting me it is time I got your back. In a nutshell this is what we can choose, hence our arrogance, which we thought that was us, will drop because we can then only drop more in our truth and hence we would never ever abuse our body. A way of living that is in alignment with the universe again.

  164. No matter how much we have abused the body, the opportunity to redeem and turn things around is always there.

  165. What I would like to know is, what is the form of intelligence that invented alcohol as a drink? And why do we classify drinks which are chemically dangerous as a social norm and ‘okay in moderation?

  166. Beautiful open and truly honest sharing, in a profound way.. Sharing what is so naturally there, yet not made to be our normal. And so we are living in a way that is mindfull and body-less (often). Hence when we feel a person live from a way that is truly in contact, connection and care with his/her body – it is instantly felt (stands out).. Hence the presence and connection that Serge lives from is felt by all.

  167. I recently moved out of a big 4 bedroom home which involved a lot of packing and cleaning. Last night I sat in the bath, supporting and thanking my body for all the hard work it had done over the past couple of weeks and I noticed that there were no broken fingernails, no scratches or bruises. I gave myself permission to have a real moment of appreciation for myself and my relationship with my body.

As the cleaning started, I had made the decision to be as present as I could be with my body and to watch the quality of energy in which I cleaned. So things like this happened….90% I wore gloves to look after my tender hands, when I could feel the drive coming into my shoulder to ‘get that oven clean’ or ‘to make the cupboard clean’, I stopped and then re-connected and in a more gentle way, cleaned the oven / cupboard etc…, and when I bent over or squatted to do something, I allowed myself myself to feel my body and give it a little stretch or twist.

So so different to how I have been in the past where i have been exhausted and scratched and bruised. When you connect and support the body, it is incredible what it can give you back.

    1. That is awesome Sarah. Amazing to appreciate when we love and support our body everything we do is a joy. Your comment Sarah inspire me to deepen my level of self-care.

  168. A stunning piece of honesty and responsibility, thank you. How is it that we fight our body so much at every twist and turn, grab any opportunity that arises to inflict more disregard and disdain onto it? What is running us that tells and convinces us that it doesn’t care in those moments?

  169. Serge Benhayon was the one who introduced me to self-care. From a state of extreme disconnection where my mind ran my body, he gradually built my awareness, gentleness and consideration of what my body needed. This is revolutionary these days, as self-abuse with overwork, stress, poor diet, stimulants and things that numb us is the normal way to live. What I loved about the way Serge presented his body that he indeed treats as precious, is that there were no beliefs, no arrogance of having the answers, just a gentle, humble obedience to the body and its natural way.

  170. Our relationship with our body is the longest most loyal and honest relationship you can have. The body is always there for you, trying to work its magic to restore balance and harmony within. It never blames or judges but presents the facts about the impact of what you are choosing on how it feels. Our relationship with our body is really like a lot of our close relationships. We take them for granted, use them for our own needs and gain and rarely consider the effects of our behaviour.

  171. We live so separated from the body, as if it’s a giant inconvenience getting in the way of how we want to live life. We are so reckless with the body, in fact we can treat our car with much more understanding and respect. Your letter really highlights humanity’s relationship with the body and how that can change and reflect our true responsibility to ourselves and each other.

  172. I never stop being amazed by my body. How I abused it for so many years yet it has responded and regenerated itself from the loving care I now give – such a fabulous reflection of the power of love within ourselves.

  173. What a gift to come back to this blog and read this stunning ode to the body. We are indeed here to serve, and our body knows it and is here to support us to do that. So that our divine particles in our body, connect to the divine particles of the universe. So that we know the qualities of the Universe, Love, Stillness, Joy, and Harmony. It is what we all crave. No more bombing in Syria. No more trucks plowing down people. No more child/sex trafficking. No more fighting with our bosses/neighbours/friends/family etc…. To live in these qualities, we have to be open to them and to start that process, it does involve being much kinder to yourself and your body as your blog shows us.

    1. Yes Sarah, to honour the body in this way, knowing we live inside a body of love, would mean we could not behave the way we do. It would not be possible as our body would know the harm we do to another we do to ourselves and will never be the way true change comes about.

  174. If we honour, respect and love our body, our body loves us back so we have the most perfect marriage that keeps expanding the joy of living.

    1. Jstewart51 I love how you have referred to our relationship with our body as a marriage. It represents the true union that occurs first within.

  175. So very true that we live in total arrogance towards our body, what it does for us and what it carries of us. When it does eventually create a stop moment big enough that we have to take notice, then we blame it for not keeping up with our lifestyle or try to rectify the ‘problem’ in order to get back to how we’ve been living. Our union with the body is only ever true once we can appreciate and honour its real purpose.

  176. There is something working inside us that goes against every piece of wisdom and practicality that we know about the way we should lovingly treat our body. I go for a long time eating very well and then suddenly I imagine that I have some leeway and that I can dabble a bit. This lack of absoluteness is driving me nuts, but I must just see it, feel it, observe it and move on.

  177. The amount of arrogance it takes for us to continuously abuse our bodies is huge yet we keep on doing it, day in and day out. Not only do we poison ourselves with alcohol, cigarettes, refined sugar etc but we also poison ourselves with emotions as well. On and on the assault to our body goes until one day we wake up with an illness/disease and then wonder how we could possibly have this happen to us. It is time to wake up and appreciate just how supportive our body is and that the only way to truly heal is to accept the divine particles that makes up our body, to cherish and behold our body and to love ourselves to the bone.

  178. Our body knows all the answers, imagine if we were to consistently connect and listened to it. We would live the hugely intelligent beings we innately are.. We have this pristine clear space: OUR BODY and what do we do with it most of the time, push it aside and play in the murky mud; OUR MIND, it does not make sense.

  179. To consider our bodies as Universal, and thus that what we put in is not just about us but about our ability to be in service and care for all, now that changes how we view how and what we do, and the importance of discernment in every decision we make.

    1. Absolutely Stephen – our bodies do not belong to us, the particles belong to God, and they form a vehicle through which we can serve our brothers on earth or alternatively we can choose to trash our bodies and get sick which does not leave us in a strong position to serve. It took me a long time to wake up to this simple yet all-important fact of life.

  180. Dear body, thank you so much for being so open and share with me your wisdom. I just have to learn to listen again and when I do – you are there and support me in understanding and unfolding. And when I do not listen, you speak louder, but never give up on me or our relationship. What a dear friend you are!

  181. Truly gorgeous. Our disregard of not just our body but of ourselves expressed so eloquently.

  182. Dear Body,
Please accept my current way of treating you as an apology for how I treated you. Please take my deep care and honouring of you as a sign of my deep love and appreciation for everything that you are.
    Yours Truly,
    Viktoria

  183. Re-visiting this blog and there it is again….. a picture of your incredibly sexy back

  184. So powerful Dragana, I also wish that I had made such declarations to my body long before now. It is the one that holds the wisdom, not my head and all the abusive behaviours that I have allowed from listening to my head and not my body.

  185. WOW – what if we were all to get this honest with how we are in our bodies, to really look at what we have ‘dumped’ on them in the past. Pretty scary if you think about it! I am certainly cringing when I look at all the toxic substances and movements I welcomed in, and my body is still loving me back. Feeling that brings a deep sense of appreciation that our bodies have an intelligence that cannot be matched by the mind alone.

  186. Gosh.. the body can withstand so much as well as being super delicate. It’s interesting actually, that even though the body is not ‘tough as nails’ it can still manage and continue to function even when poisoned by food, alcohol and emotions. That shows to me that true delicateness is not weak, but has an amazing strength.

  187. To honour and acknowledge our bodies and treat them with the utmost care is a missing link when it comes to growing up in this world. We focus on so many things but we do not learn to stay connected with our bodies and work with them, treating them as the precious vehicle it is that serves us our entire life.

  188. Dragana, what you share here may well be resisted by many as the first time I read it, while I loved it and felt its deep truth, it is also a powerful wake up call to say that all is not what it seems. We accept abuse like we accept the weather as it is, and just like the weather we sometimes choose not to see that we also have the power to change our experiences through the way we live and hold ourselves. Abuse is a word that needs much re-definition as it is far more than just physical or emotional – it is hidden in even the slightest expression that does not honour the truth of who we are.

  189. This is a letter all our bodies would like to receive! It says so much and claims responsibility for having treated it so badly for so long. To acknowledge the body and it’s existence is huge, as commonly it is simply dragged around like some handbag that needs to keep up with what we want to do. Thankfully, my body stopped playing that game a while back and so I had to start to be obedient to it, and realign. It is the best thing that ever happened to me. The body does know, it knows it ALL.

  190. ‘I did like the feel of Serge at first sight too, but you… You loved him. No. You Adored him.’ I can so relate to this comment Dragana Brown. My body particles knew once I first heard Serge Benhayon that they had found their home and the rest was my choice to honour them or not.

  191. Hello Dragana and the beauty of our bodies and how it deals with the things we do to it. It’s interesting that one of it’s coping mechanisms or ways to return itself to a level of function is to sleep. I remember hangovers, sickness etc all had periods of sleep where the body shut parts down into a rest to bring you back. After nearly everything I remember I always felt a little better after a sleep. It’s like it gave you a fresh look at things and then a choice, same again or another way. It’s gives the question of what is sleep about, it is about rest yes but also about a shut down of a part of you to bring a fresh perspective or choice to you when you wake. The day always look different after a sleep. No matter what it is we are always building a relationship with the body if we want to take notice or be aware of it. This relationship is always there, always knocking on the door and it’s our choice to open the door and how far we open the door that is the key.

  192. When put in this wonderful way Dragana, no one in the world could doubt the ridiculousness of the way we trash our bodies with all these socially acceptable behaviours and thoughts. We have, en masses, colluded together to agree to disable these precious instruments, our bodies, just for a moment if ‘fun’. How can abuse be called ‘fun’ and how did we get this way??? There is something here that does not add up.

  193. “That you were given to me merely as a vehicle for the one and only registered, responsible and fully comprehensively insured driver – my Soul.” This is an inspiring gem of wisdom that we should all be taught from very young. Maybe ‘learner and provisionary plates’ could be issued and worn so we can all remember and support ourselves and each other in the process.

  194. This is such a great open and relatable real life scenario going on in our everyday lives. Dragana you offer light and understanding to what is truly a serious situation without the raised eyebrow and a dose of guilt, but there is no mistaking the truth.

  195. Reading this again it relates to how I have been feeling in regards to our (me and my body) relationship. It’s like the body is constantly, never ever wavering in it’s loving support. Yet I have chosen to want the return back to this love to be a certain way, namely it being a longer process or requiring certain events to occur or space and situations to open up before me. Waiting on the outside to fix my inner relationship only delays the choice I am responsible for making in saying ‘I do’ as my commitment to this relationship. The body and it’s particles committed long long ago and feels like thats what they were born to do and so was I, the body is simply reminding me of this. The irresponsibility was something I tried but it not true to who and what I was born from and so like a layer of clothing that doesn’t fit the body is asking for it to be removed.

  196. “You found that One human body that reflected God back to me so that I would know You (my body) is NOT mine to own. That you were given to me merely as a vehicle for the one and only registered, responsible and fully comprehensively insured driver – my Soul.” This line today made me reconnect to the fact that also my body has brought me to Serge Benhayon some years ago and I must honestly say and admit that it was not my mind who made me go to Somerset but it was my body as it holds an intelligence that is far beyond that what my mind is able to comprehend and to connect to.

  197. What a beautiful reminder of how the body is likely to be responding to way too many of the choices we are making. As I read your blog I felt the dedication to communication our body has, it never gives up trying to communicate what hurts and what doesn’t and I felt inspired to listen even more deeply than I already do. We can never be finished with deepening this connection and communication.

  198. What an awesome letter – this is so true for me too -in the sense that I would abuse my body then get fed up when I got sick – nothing short of an arrogance and unwillingness to see that we do not own our bodies and we are part of a much bigger picture.

  199. This blog makes me realise how much I love my body. I may not live that way in every moment of everyday, but I do love it. Time to take more care of it and listen to it deeply.

  200. Super powerful and what a humbling reminder to read today, “…you were given to me to serve a much greater purpose, and for that I had to keep you sacred and to keep you in stillness so that you and I could live and reflect the Divine on Earth.” – as I sit on the lounge with flu symptoms and an opportunity to listen to my body very clearly saying to me ‘reactions are poisonous’.

  201. Gorgeous….”Ever since then I have cried many tears when remembering all the harm I had inflicted upon you, and yet you never held any grudges. Not even as much as a raised eyebrow ;-)…” I can feel the in my body, since I have begun to care for it more….it has said Yes and got on with enjoying being more connected, alive and vital….our bodies are deeply intelligent and respond deeply to care and love.

  202. So incredibly beautiful, honouring and humbling, as I can still play the game of not listening to my body with all it’s wisdom and instant reflection. It is no longer the wine etc. but it is the same energy, the not wanting to feel something so trying to numb against what is truth-fully – un-numbable! There is no hiding from what is felt, there are choices with the type of support though.

  203. ‘You dear Body always found a way to communicate with me – I on the other hand like a tantrum-ing toddler stubbornly and paradoxically kept refusing to so much as lend you my ears.’ We think we are ‘winning’, hiding, or getting away with something when we don’t listen to our bodies… yet, ultimately only fighting ourselves, and always needing to deal with the effect of our choices – no matter how hard we try and avoid them 🙂
Our body never punishes us – but doesn’t allow us to get comfortable in living a life that is so far below the magnificence we are and could be living.

  204. This is so profoundly beautiful my heart aches as I can feel the gap I have also created between my so-called self and my body, and lived from. I am also one of the many fortunate ones like you to have met a body of Truth, and your letter highlights to me that it is the lack of this true whole-bodied appreciation that gets in a way of me making choices that truly serve.

  205. Dragana, I love your candidness. If we actually realised what we were doing to our bodies when we drank alcohol, ate rubbish, smoked etc.. then maybe we would see that we are not as intelligent a species as we think we are. After all we have to live with our bodies 24/7 so there is no point on trashing them, it is us who then has to live with the depleted and devastated body.

  206. Inspiring in its simplicity, honesty, humility and playfulness. A testament to a wonderful writer Dragana Brown and her commitment to truth.

  207. So many ways we inflict harm upon our bodies then expect it to endure and continue with our next abuse. But this is to negate the very thing that can support us, hold us and guide us back to the truth of who we truly are. What if we gave it a chance and honoured our body and our being, what if this could awaken within us a remembering of the true fire that burns within constantly, the light that can never be sullied or dimmed but remains eternally pure as from the one source of Divinity we are all from.

  208. One of the most beautiful experiences that is there within everyone to feel is the experience of our own bodies resonating with the vibration of our own voices expressing truth… this is such a profound experience that can be started simply by starting to listen to our bodies and what they have to say.

  209. When you talk about our bodies particles belonging to the universe, you can’t help but feel the responsibility we have in taking deep care of our bodies in all we do, from how we move, walk, express, digest, and eat. Digest not only being a physical food consumption thing, but what other energies, issues and emotions – be it our own or other people’s we allow into our bodies.

  210. Yes, i have given thanks to my body for carrying me through life. It has endured much physical activity that was far from loving and mental and emotional abuse that I did not even realize was hurting me.
Amazingly it did not totally break down until i was 55, but it was talking to me all along, i just choose to override it.
When I found Serge Benhayon and Simple-Living Global in 2000 and i started to get more honest, and began to heal, my body just said “thank you”. No “I told you so”, just pure love. That is true compassion, a great reflection for our personal relationship to the rest of humanity

  211. Love your opening line Dragana, ‘ There has been no other like you who has stuck with me through thick and thin, never to give up on me, yet ironically the very one I had used and abused like I would no other!’ We need to fully admit the truth in this and care and nurture this amazing vehicle of expression , our body.

  212. I am reading this from a week of having been sick and having thoughts like ‘I can’t deal with this right now’ or ‘just stop being sick so I can keep going’ instead of actually learning from what my body is communicating and making different choices.

  213. here is a viewpoint that intelligence only resides in the mind, as does consciousness. This viewpoint is of course in keeping with our propensity to look at life segmentally, rather than holistically. It is this separation between body and mind that is at the core of many of our ills, for it allows a state of being that allows us to abuse the very house we reside in.

  214. I love revisiting your gorgeous body Dragana..sexy plus in the true meaning of sexy.

  215. This blog oozes responsibility without a grain of redeeming or self bashing. Just simple and clear, truth and facts about where we are or have been in our relationship with our gift of the body.

  216. In the end the quality of our life depends on the kind of relationship we have to our body, to others and to the planet. We own nothing, not our body, not our children, not our so-called ideas. The particles of the body belong to Heaven and are here to support us on our way back home, and so there is only one reason why we would trash them, and that is to delay us going home. And who, pray, wants to do that? The little creator of this rogue creation that we live in.

  217. This letter is a precious gem. Amidst all the normalisation of bashing, lashing and abusing our most precious companion, this letter exposes the devastation of what we choose to do to ourselves, treating our bodies as functional fodder so often perceived as an inconvenience in the way of what we want to go out and do.

  218. The love that I feel for this body is not what it has done for me, but the love that it is made of, the same love that every particle is made of because we all come from God.

  219. Very beautiful letter to your body Dragana, one which is so sweet that my particles feel it too and the love that you are committing to is felt by me deeply. Every person who makes choices to truly respect our particles and this kingly vehicle is saying yes to the direction that the particles of the Universe are naturally moving towards, and it impulses others to feel this pull.

  220. Being aware that there is a bigger purpose for our lives allows us to connect deeply with the quality of love within us, the more we confirm and accept this the more flow and simplicity is offered in every way possible.

  221. Dear Body, I am making a loving choice to reconnect to my essence or soul, and as “I get given a wonder (you, the body) that does not belong to me, but whose particles belong to the Universe, to love, to cherish and to behold and what do I do with it? I abuse it. Let’s call it for what it truly is – An ultimate in Arrogance”.
Humbly I share that the will of God shall be my choice to reconnect to in every way to the best of my ability, so that my arrogant spirit can feel the love through the particles of my body and that I reconnect with the love that is my soul.

  222. Dear Body of Dragana, thank you so much for supporting her all along the way so she made it to meet me. You both together are a true power couple and a inspiration for everyone who meets you. So I am thankful for that. As you are connected to the Universe you must know also my body, which is also connected to it and very faithful to me, like you are to Dragana. Your indestructible connection to true love is what will bring us humans together again and reflects us on the way back to the stars our choices which supports and not supports us here. Thank you buddies. Very well done.

  223. An inspirational piece of writing that brought me up short and showed me how i have only been paying lip service to my claim to be listening to and loving my body. I love the fact that it is not mine to own, but gifted to me to live my Divine purpose in this life. That makes me so much more responsible for listening and caring for it.

  224. “I get given a wonder (you, the body)……to love, to cherish and to behold” A union/marriage like no other, right here, right now.

  225. Our bodies do love all the modalities that have been brought through by Serge Benhayon. they get a chance, at last, to align to the energy of the `Divine’ and to feel their true potential.

  226. Since attending presentations by Serge Benhayon, it has been possible to make different choices by listening to the wisdom delivered from my body. It has been like a constant drip of water on rock, eroding away the hardness and protection that had been constructed over a very long time.

  227. The more I chat and listen to my body the more it has to say… it is an incredible guide and font of wisdom and what I really love is that it is not a relationship that goes on in my head, there is no guessing or complicated mental processing… it simply is.

  228. I am also remembering that in meeting Serge Benhayon for the first time my body completely surrendered or can I say melted in the presence of this man. I can describe it as a coming home, back to a state of being for my body it naturally is designed to.

  229. It is true, attending a workshop with Serge Benhayon and it changed my life. At the time I couldn’t put my finger on what felt like a pull to know more but I listened to my body and over time I very gently began to make changes as I attended the various courses and workshops. We all know truth within our inner heart. We can feel it even though our bodies can feel heavy. It is a choice.

  230. Interviewing our body parts would be very revealing of the choices we have made, and what it has to say about it. That would make a great documentary, we could call it ‘ The Truth that Lies Within!

  231. What a stunningly beautiful letter, and so relatable too. I too used to get annoyed by the fact that the body took maintenance. Gradually that is changing and I’m having longer and longer experiences of how glorious the body can feel when I truly listen to it.

  232. A great point to make Dragana about the link between how we treat our own nervous sytem by having caffeine or running in anxiety, and how our internet and phone systems work. Gosh, what if when these services are not working, we stopped to consider how we are in fact treating our own nervous system.

  233. My default in the past has always been life is tough therefore I need to be tough to survive it. In truth love is all around and within us available to reconnect with the tender, and fragile preciousness we feel when we connect with our inner most our true self.

  234. Our body knows exactly what it needs but do we listen to it? Often we do not and then the end result is an illness or disease because we ignored all the subtle messages along the way

  235. We make our focus so much more about our ‘outer lives’ – the career, family life, money, toys and hobbies, reputations and being social then we do the well-being of the body. Yet the body is the one being taken to all these things and having to deal with the repercussions of our choices, each and every one of them. Our main relationship is with the body, from there life can make a lot more sense.

  236. Respecting and honouring our body is also not about putting it up as a trophy of accomplishment, as I did as a sports man, fitness trainer and Yoga teacher. Look how I can score goals, run it ragged and contort it into knots. Thanks to Serge Benhayon, I have learned that true respect and honouring of the body means connecting to it with mind becoming simply receptive, able to listen as Dragana has well described and then understood what our bodies truly represent through the divine spark that offers a level of wisdom, care and tenderness communicated I never have before known is possible.

  237. What you so beautifully and playfully bring to our attention here is, that our bodies know what is good for them and that they show us often in a very direct way and sometimes in a more subtle way, but they communicate with us constantly.

  238. Our body is pure love, it is made of the particles of the universe and belongs to God. And though we mistreat it and abuse it and lack respect for it, our body never ever judges us for it, it simply does its best given the circumstances and then has to purge or spend time healing the offloading we have proceeded to hand to it from our reckless behaviour. But so too can this be reversed and we can spend time loving up the body, appreciating it, honouring its every call, and when we do that, we are actually developing a relationship with God, with the universe, a relationship that is one of respect, care, love, and dedication. And this latter needs to be our focus, in order to get us out of this huge mess that we have created for ourselves.

  239. ‘You dear Body always found a way to communicate with me – I on the other hand like a tantrum-ing toddler stubbornly and paradoxically kept refusing to so much as lend you my ears.’ It’s hilarious that we resist what our body is showing us is needed – when at the end of the day, we will need to live in and with the body of our choices.

  240. ‘There has been no other like you who has stuck with me through thick and thin, never to give up on me, yet ironically the very one I had used and abused like I would no other!’ This one sentence says so much as when I stop and feel for a moment the abuse I give to my body, both mentally and physically and ask myself what would this look like if I were to do this to another, I feel an overwhelming sense of sadness at the reality of this. It is like, I will continue to use and abuse my body until the day it says ‘enough is enough’ and I get sick with a life threatening illness or disease.

  241. Never-ending Love is the relationship that is always on on offer with our body.
Developing a loving relationship with ourselves is well worth it – it is this loving foundation that we will then bring to all relationships.

  242. “Of course you always KNEW what you needed. You even knew what I needed too.” it is amazing to feel this about our bodies if we let it communicate with us and respond to what is felt!

  243. This is beautiful and how our bodies are not actually ours but merely a vehicle to in-house our Soul. To know God and that we are Son then we hold just the same quality and equal amount of responsibility to reflect all of who we are. Stopping and understanding this is amazing, to act with such enormity and not shrink it in any way is another.

  244. It never ceases to amaze me that we as humans abuse our bodies so much, and I know that I am as guilty of this as anyone. There is no other species that abuses itself so, nor has the capacity for self-abuse that humans have. I find this almost unfathomable that we humans see ourselves as the most advanced and intelligent of all species, yet we continue to make choices that will actually harm our bodies. There is so much we have yet to learn.

  245. The teachings by Serge Benhayon on our connection to the body is unique as far as my experience is concerned. The fact that we need to honour and care for our bodies, listen to them, and totally re-connect living in the presence of that body, is the key, crucial and vital factor for us being able to come back to who we truly are. Without this connection we are lost in ideals, ideas, beliefs, images of life, and consciousnesses – ever going around and around our axis and the sun, choosing the same-old, same-old, day in day out, and never evolving. This teaching was missing from all the ‘new age’ type things I looked at and explored for a while. This connection to the body brings in the vital living principle of life, the livingness . . . and re-connects us to multi-dimensionality.

  246. I have put my body thorough so much from a very young age: massive amounts of drugs, alcohol, anorexia, bulimia, bouts of raw food, junk food, intense fasting, ridiculous exercise regimes and much more. Now at 58 years old my body has bounced back after taking care of it for the last 10 years. Our bodies are extremely forgiving and resilient and I am now so very appreciative of my beautiful body. I now release that my body needs to be cared for, so as to be able to be the vehicle of expression that its true purpose is.

    1. Ditto, Mary-Louise, self abuse used to be my middle name until I started to listen to my body. After life times of abuse I am slowly eradicating the sneaky back door tactics of my wayward spirit, so I am starting to rejoice in the ‘union of body and soul’!

    2. Join the club marylgouisemyers. The levels of abuse over many years have definitely harmed but as you have shared the bounce back has occurred due to the levels of self-love and care I have chosen to act upon. My body is vital, healthy and people’s jaws often drop when I share my age! Thanks to the work of Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine in supporting many in showing that there is another way to live where the body lives with purpose, clarity and JOY!

  247. What a letter of honesty to your body Dragana, we abuse our bodies to this extent and still they work to cleanse us as best they can. By changing our choices, we don’t have to make it work so hard and it will reward us tenfold.

  248. Our bodies have an ability to overcome so much, but the imprint still remains, we don’t get off
‘ scot free’, the abuse and hurts are there to be revisited, either by a illness or disease or repeated experiences till we finally get it. How loving is the body to have us look at our patterns and ideals and beliefs so we can free ourselves of the waywardness and return to trusting the body in full, as our body knows everything.

  249. This body, our vehicle through life, is also the portal through which comes the absolute glory of who we are in all of its divinity and grace. Amazing that we can even contemplate treating it with anything but respect and love, but as I know all too well, it is almost too easy to do so. The return, though, is not as hard as we would think, for love has not gone anywhere. And no matter what state our body may be in, love is right there to be felt and expressed.

  250. Our bodies are our one constant in life and yet we abuse them so. Learning to love my body and to now treat it with love and care is a direct result of my connection with Universal Medicine. Deep appreciation to Serge Benhayon for his amazing presentations. No pushing or imposing – just presentations that enable us to choose for ourselves what feels true.

  251. Wow, the things I have put my body through simply because I want things or want things to be a certain way. Every choice I have made my body has had to go through it and experience it even though it may not like it, thrive from it or enjoy it. The thing is I convince myself that it’s ok, and even though I can feel what my body is telling me I go ahead anyway. It just shows that my need and want for certain things is stronger than my love and respect for my body.

  252. “Instead of getting closer to you and being ONE with you my dear Body, I had consciously built a gulf between us.” Today i know that this gulf is the ache that tainted my every move, the emptiness that remained after what should in temporal terms have been an amazing day. This was the cloud of inward separation that followed me around. Thank-you body, thank-you Serge Benhayon and all those committed to living from this our marker of truth.

  253. It is great to be reminded that our bodies are not ours to abuse and neglect as much as we want, but are divine and belong to God. Once we accept this, we honour and care for ourselves at a much deeper level and connect to the preciousness of us all.

  254. Our bodies are amazing and not to be taken for granted! Thank you for the appreciation you bring here Dragana, and for the consideration that how we are with our body has far reaching effects…

  255. Knowing all the harmful substances and behaviors I have experiemented with my body, I have “tried” to protect it also by being extremely cautious and limiting with my life, reducing myself to living and commiting to only enough and leaving out a big chunk of awesomeness that is waiting to be expressed, thus also leaving room for that which is not me to fill up what I do not choose to take the responsibility to express. This has all been a process of self-discovery and understanding, to keep revealing what is not true to be further let go. One day the realization was there is nothing to add, improve or fix, this body is already intact and it is enough, I just have to stop getting in the way and messing with its wisdom, clearly a trust issue at play.

  256. The preciousness that we connect to that is us, is never-ending when we let let ourselves deeply cherish ourselves and our bodies. Each and every organ within us every particle we are made of is heavenly, so so tender and perfectly symmetrical to the laws of the universe. All of our physical make-up divinely designed to enhouse a being — us — here to reflect the divine on earth.

  257. It would lead to an interesting documentary to interview our own body part by part – we would not only get the ‘now’ story, hot off the press but our longer term choices and their effect on our bodies could not be denied, revealed with loving accuracy by each of our body’s systems and processes.

    1. What a fabulous idea and how informative it would also be to contrast the documentaries of different bodies to see the results of different and similar choices.

  258. I love this love letter to your body and true, it seems to be utterly ‘normal’ to ignore and abuse it, a true case of domestic violence that we have turned into our slavishly followed and cultish norm.

  259. What a beautiful letter, honouring the body in full and sharing with us the body’s true purpose. The body is not ours to own as its’ particles belong to the universe but we often treat our bodies as if it is ours to do what we wish. I am so feeling the truth of what you are sharing her, Dragana.

  260. It is hard to accept how cleverly we know how to sabotage ourselves and our bodies. We know exactly what to do to hide ourselves so we don’t shine or stand out or get noticed. We learn these skills as a perceived method of survival, but it reduces us to a life to existing rather than truly live.

  261. I know my body holds the key to all the wisdom and intelligence that is required to live in harmony and service. I simple have a choice to honour this as many moments as it takes to fully embody this truth.

  262. Again I pull up this blog and get met with not only your sexy butt, as well, a beautiful sexy body…wow to think you are over 50 and look younger every time I see you.

  263. What I love about starting a dialogue with my body inspired by this letter, is that the more I listen the more my body shares. It feels like an unfathomable measure of wisdom.

  264. Thank you Dragana for a reminder that my body particles, (our body) belongs to the Universe and in that there is a huge responsibility if you ask me.
We each have a job to do to not poison or disturb our grand universe that is supporting us in every way to evolve. Nothing more and nothing less.
My BSB (Before Serge Benhayon) was a deeply disregarding, abusive and harmfull way of living for my body. I don’t feel great about the choices I have made in this life up until that point which was 11 years ago. Whilst I cannot erase it, I can now choose to live in a way that holds deep care, regard and love for my body and I do this with the best intention to ensure I do not harm me or others. No perfection ever needed but a way of living that truly supports this precious body I have been given.

Finally I have come to realise how precious my body is and how out of whack I was living in the past.
THANK GOD FOR SERGE BENHAYON is all I can say now.

  265. This is a sharing which reawakens the depth of love our body is holding. To truly appreciate this depth, this natural tender way of our body to communicate with us is the way for me to build step by step a deeper loving relationship with my body. And like you share, Dragana, the particles in my body belong to the universe. Looking to my body from this angle the abuse in overriding and not listening to my body sticks out even more and pulls me up to listen more refined to what my body has t o tell. And one thing I always experience, in listening to my body there is so much more joy and love in my life.

  266. Great way round of looking at it, our body forcing us to sleep, be sick and recuperate after drinking alcohol, a whole other way of considering what we choose to do to our bodies and how our bodies respond to support us.

  267. We have perpetrated this terrible abuse on ourselves. Imagine if we watched a program about someone treating someone else the way we have treated ourselves, including our self talk, there would be a petition on Facebook for us to lose custody of ourselves. What a joy it has been to meet and appreciate Serge Benhayon. He is the world’s true lover, honouring us with the reflection of love and true care.

  268. It is quite touching reading this letter. If any human friend was treated like thus, it is unlikely they would have put up with it. We have the most loyal, loving and dedicated friend in the form of our body that never gives up on us. To top it all it is far more steady, reliable and wise than the brain which we put so much faith in. The question is, like so many other areas in life do we wait until we no longer have access to the gifts offered us before we start to appreciate it?

  269. ‘You dear Body always found a way to communicate with me – I on the other hand like a tantrum-ing toddler stubbornly and paradoxically kept refusing to so much as lend you my ears’. This describes the human spirit so precisely – and tantrum-ing toddler. And through these behaviours layers of energetic disease, dampness, dullness, shatter-ment, and contraction are built than load up the body and devastate it.How often to we observe ourselves and others in our immature behaviour. It is time for us to grow up, to come to maturity and love and honour the body, this magnificent vehicle made of divine articles. We will let this wayward spirit no longer have its way with us!

  270. Imagine if we taught and educated at school and by our parents that our bodies are precious, just like they were when we were born and that nothing changes from that point, that we are to treat ourselves with that much love, care and tenderness because that is what we deserve and naturally respond to. I’m sure the world would be a completely different place because we would have this for ourselves so we can share it with others without a second thought, it just would be.

  271. It is amazing to allow oursleves to feel what our body is telling us and then to respond accordingly to what is being asked, but so often we override can override these feelings and end up making situations much worse, basically fuelling the fire. Whereas if we just let our bodies do the talking and respond from what we feel, we would give others a true reflection and an opportunity to see that there is another way.

  272. This is a beautifully worded piece of writing. Especially because it comes from a lived place of experience.

  273. I love this analogy that our bodies can either be driven irresponsibly by the spirit or honoured and made a vehicle for the soul.

  274. No matter what the messages from the body are, I have deep appreciation for them. No matter how life presents itself to me, I also have deep appreciation for it. As when I connect with myself and with life, I know I am being held in the deepest of love, and everything that is presented to me is for me to choose to return to a deeper love or not.

    1. ‘everything that is presented to me is for me to choose to return to a deeper love or not’. Perfect for me to read this today Adele, simply it is my choice.

  275. There are not many other people who I would treat the way I treat my body. It is with such arrogance I do this. I’m definitely better and bring more care to my body than I used to but when I look at it this way, in terms of my body being it’s own being, I can see that I try to have dominion over my body.

  276. I have been considering the enormity of the abuse that I have dumped onto, and into, my body over the years. It’s no wonder that when I first started hearing people talking about nurturing myself, I was a little perplexed. Whilst I understood the meaning of nurturing, I couldn’t quite comprehend how I practically would apply that to myself. With the support from practitioners and fellow students, that all changed. Looking back from where I am now, I am so full of appreciation for my introduction to Universal Medicine and Serge Benhayon and all of the support I have had along the way to make the changes that I have lovingly put into place over the years, with many, many more to come.

  277. The moment we are open to the possibility that we are part of a divine universal plan, we consider our bodies in a whole new way. A way that is loving, nurturing, honouring and full of joy.

  278. I love this conversation with your body, Dragana, which feels like a way to truly honour it and express your commitment to now listening to its constant messages and exact reflection of how you are living moment by moment.

  279. Dragana, this article is wonderful to read, it is a real wake up call for how disconnected we can be to our bodies and to how we abuse rather than care for and nurture our bodies. I have abused my body for many years, this feels so disrespectful and unloving and I would never treat another in this abusive way – not giving someone a drink when they are thirsty, holding off going to the toilet when they need to go, not giving them a coat when they are cold, not listening when they are hurting, the list goes on. I can feel how absolutely necessary it is that we listen to and care for and listen to our bodies – this is our natural way.

  280. Love it Dragana. We often see our body as a nuisance making us ill, stop, rest, react on foods etc so we can not simply do as we please but, as you so beautifully described here, it is simply the most loving thing our body can do when we are doing things that are self-harming and abusive. Simply to teach us that there is a much more loving way to live, which we deserve.

  281. Dear body I can only apologise for what I have done to you over the years, broken bones, scarred liver, illnesses that could have been avoided if I’d only listened to what you were trying to tell me. Thanks for sticking it out so far.

  282. Great analogy: Would we ride a car without insurance? Yet we put things into our body of which we can be pretty sure that they destroy it. And it is the vehicle we live in! A great juncture in life indeed to connect back to insured driving, to Soul.

  283. Let our love affair with our body begin – we will be amazed at the communication to date that we have received that we are yet to respond to.

  284. Love the way you have addressed the letter as ‘Dear Body’ Dragana. it could have been ‘Hi Body’ or ‘hello Body’ but you chose ‘Dear Body’ for very good reason, and that is that you now hold the body as very dear. It is for this reason that I have never forsaken using ‘Dear Dragana, or Jenny, or Bill . . .’ for my emails! On certain occasions I use ‘hi’ but mostly I use ‘dear’ because in fact everyone is very dear to my heart and when I write I want to be conscious of that fact before expressing.

  285. Many sounds – gurgling, sneezing, coughing, farting, wheezing, burping, sighing, yawning, footsteps, door closing, knife cutting and a tone of voice that stated very clearly in a sound that could be felt “I am being squeezed into a linear life when I am truly spherical”. Oh yes our bodies have many sounds and every one a marker of how we treat it.

    1. Simon, pretty cool list of sounds from its majesty, the body, that could go on and on ….sweating, smelling, spitting, stuttering, spotting, itching, hiccuping, vomiting, dragging, bleeding, swelling, cysts, lumps, cravings, nightmares…….and on…

  286. Our body speaks to us all the time, if only we took the time to listen to it, then maybe the rates of illness and disease would not be so high. Thank you Dragana for sharing your letter to your body, and I am sure that many of us could add our own letters and together they would make rather a large and revealing book!

  287. “No other kind would do this. And yet we (I) call ourselves an intelligent species” we really are living such a crazy messed up way that we actually pride ourselves with our intelligence reigning ourselves as superior to animals and nature because we can add up with a pencil. Geez it beggars belief that we survive considering how badly we treat ourselves and each other.

    1. so true Vanessa – we equate our shift from abacus to adding up with pencil to intelligence and YET, it is the same intelligence that goes to war, rapes, smokes cigarettes, drinks alcohol (medically defined as poison), takes drugs, cyber abuse….to name but a smidgeon of some of the most non intelligent acts we engage in. Are we all that smart after all?

  288. This is such an honest expose of your behaviours Nikki that you use to cover up the true you. Thank you for your honesty. It reveals much about my own life and choices.

  289. Thank you Dragana for reminding me how clearly our bodies reflect the choices we make if we take notice.

  290. Love this Dragana, it really brings home the responsibility we have with the abuse we give our body. When realising we are part of the universe and not a single unit .. firstly how utterly amazing this is to be connected to all things universally and secondly yes the responsibility, that each and every body needs deep and utmost care taken of it. Like you my light bulb moment was when I met Serge Benhayon for the first time that tingling and knowing in my body, a life changing moment meeting truth and love.

  291. Fascinating to consider the battle we wage against our own body. It makes little logical sense, yet is one that is fought ever day, until such time that we choose to care for it and appreciate the wisdom that it offers.

  292. Reading this really makes one stop and consider the deep deep harm we perpetrate upon ourselves, and encourage others to do so too.. and the deeper consideration of exactly why we continue to do so until the point of serious pain and suffering? . . and the more honestly we consider this, the deeper understanding of what we are trying to avoid starts to become clear. Arrogance and prideful defence have never got us anywhere but more of the same suffering… yet we have a way now to connect to our body, let that all go, and surrender to the truth that lies within.

    1. Very much look forward to reading it Adam – looking at the title sounds like a gripping read 🙂

  293. This is such a powerful and exposing letter. I know that I have abused my body over the years and this letter helps to expose how ridiculous this abuse is. The body we have been given this life is precious and I am committing to developing an ever deepening care for my body.

  294. Gosh Dragana as I read this I could feel how much we blame our body for everything without seeing that what we are doing is the direct affect of not choosing to be aware of the actions we take that are causing the dis-comort in the first place. When we connect the dots as you did between your frustration with the internet and drinking coffee we can see that there is always a reason for why we do what we do, Stopping and taking a few steps back we can usually see that it is something we did earlier triggered our behaviour and blaming and abusing our body no longer becomes the easy option.

  295. It’s incredible to feel how our bodies are here to serve a greater purpose for all. There is a huge responsibility with that in all we do, say, move, eat, dress, wash, exercise – everything. As it’s for all not just us.

  296. Your letter is so revealing in the level of arrogance that we have when it comes to taking care of our bodies. I love how you have addressed this and made it so clear that is us, and only us who inflict so much pain and illness onto ourselves through our daily choices. It is a great wake up call for us all to really begin to take notice of the signs and signals that we are being sent, and to listen to those feelings that emerge from inside, which we so often dismiss as being there for no apparent reason, but actually are absolutley there to be listened to and acted on.

  297. You describe so beautifully how illogical we live and still keep on going. An invitation to stop, reflect and start appreciating our body.

  298. ‘…remembering all the harm I had inflicted upon you, and yet you never held any grudges. Not even as much as a raised eyebrow ;-)…’ I find this totally amazing – when I think about having the conversation with my body about the absolute abuse I have put it through I would expect some backlash from it because I place human qualities on it but I really know this would not be the case as our bodies are universal and so respond to universal laws and judgement is not one of them.

    1. Love how eloquently you’ve put this Michael: our bodies are universal and so respond to universal laws and judgement is not one of them. Gem.

  299. I am really getting to understand from this blog the level of hypocrisy that I have lived with also in my live at the total expense of my body and how I left it functioning. So when you are introduced to another way of living that actually stops all the hypocrisy and allows you to make the choices to support, honour and love your body things start to change dramatically. Waking up and feeling vital and with an enthusiasm for life is such a refreshing way to be that once you start you don’t want to stop. Serge Benhayon presents that Life is Medicine, from the living choices I have made I stand here in complete agreement. The responsibility of every choice we make is the make up of our bodies and what they present back.

  300. Great call Dragana – I love the fact that the body is something that belongs to the universe and is hence something to honour, cherish and treat in a way that actually honours the universe. In that way living Life becomes a scientific excursion, a joyful and exploring one.

  301. Great blog Dragana, I loved your words ‘You could tell that almost constant abuse I had subjected you to was about to cease, and how could you not smile and sparkle in celebration of that fact. You knew the time had cometh when I’d clock that you were given to me to serve a much greater purpose, and for that I had to keep you sacred and to keep you in stillness so that you and I could live and reflect the Divine on Earth.’ When we understand the purpose of the bigger picture, we can only treat our body with the greatest love and tenderness to ensure that we are ready and able to serve.

  302. I used to get cross or frustrated by how my body would have symptoms because I wasn’t taking any responsibility for what I was doing to it. The acne I had from early teens up to my 30s was hormonal but it was also linked to dairy. As soon as I stopped having dairy, viola, my skin improved (as did my menstrual cycle). So how our body shows us that something needs looking at is such a blessing. Much like a car will break down, rattle or not perform as well as it could when it isn’t maintained and looked after.

  303. It is true that we have an arrogance towards the body – one in which we feel we don’t need to listen until it’s too late. This blog shows how we all have the oppprtunity to listen and start to ask ourselves – how am I truly treating myself and would I be this way towards a baby? We have a responsibility more than ever before to at least be honest with our choices.

  304. “I get given a wonder (you, the body) that does not belong to me, but whose particles belong to the Universe, to love, to cherish and to behold and what do I do with it? I abuse it. Let’s call it for what it truly is – An ultimate in Arrogance.” This really hits home for me. I walk around thinking my body is mine to do with as I please – no-one else’s business but my own and yet I am not am not an owner, I am a custodian, a guardian of a living miracle of nature – every particle a reflection of the divine design of the universe. I’m getting an image of my cells a neurons being constellations within the universe(s) which is leaving me breathless with its mastery of the body it is held within. All except my mind, my will – that I need to master and bring will and body together as one.

  305. ‘I did like the feel of Serge at first sight too, but you… You loved him. No. You Adored him. You sensed that everything about your treatment was about to change to how you and the stars had always known it to be.’ Yes I remember this exactly too, how my body so loved Serge’s hands on my wings, on my heart on my lower back. My body was being systematically freed from all the impositions that I had allowed and was fast melting into something glorious instead of something afflicted. It was instant return to our natural beauty and connection with the universe.

  306. Dragana what comes through really clearly is the fact that our body is there to be treasured and lovingly taken care of not simply something that we use to further our minds pursuit. There is no doubt that when I listen to what my body is saying I feel far more confident in life and at ease being myself. Amazing to consider just how I’d neglected my body in the past though.

  307. I laughed when I read this Dragana, having once walked 55km in one day across a desert was thinking how my feet were killing me… when the truth came back to me quite clearly – actually I was killing my feet. That was the first inkling that i was a willing party in the constant daily abuse of my body – not through drugs and alcohol, but constant stress, sugar, worry and anxiousness, adventuring and driving my body much harder than it could deal with. Now I am living with the consequences of that lifestyle but through the simple choice of living in a way that is honouring my body and connecting to its true purpose as an instrument of the Divine, (as is for all of us) there is now awakening a true vitality, true power and life energy that is unmatchable by anything the world of illusion can conjure up.

    1. And I went: geeze Annie – a 55km walk in one day across a desert! (nice and shady 😉 But you reminded me of an interesting habit we’ve got and the phrases we have so nonchalantly adopted to describe (blame) the state of our body – my feet are killing me, my head’s (headache) driving me crazy, my period is a nuisance/inconvenience, my cough’s a pain in the neck, my exhaustion is a pain in the butt ,….where all along it’s the other way round!

  308. Another great blog Dragana. I can certainly attest to being a culprit of ignoring all signals from my body until I met Serge Benhayon. It was only then did I understand that our body is a vehicle of expression that I need to honour and take pristine care of as to be able to house my soul and allow only the energy of the hierarchy to pass through. With this knowing I am paying loads more attention to its messages and we are getting on much better since I have stopped poisoning it with my disregard.

  309. There could not be a more important responsibility than being the vehicle through which my soul expresses. So I have a body and a soul. Who then am I, this voice, but a representation of my soulful expression OR that which is a representation of the self willed, self identified choice that at present, shuns the soul.

  310. My body was definitely high fiving the day I met Serge Benhayon, its delight so evident, fueled by the fact that I had listened to its very loud whisper several months before and made the choice to make this meeting happen. And I know that its delight was also because it knew before I did that I was about to return to a way of living that I had left many lives ago, but was so very ready to return to.

  311. We often get frustrated or annoyed that our body does not perform as we would want, especially when nursing a hangover, yet we are the ones responsible for how our body is by the choices we make.

  312. I keep coming back to read this blog as it is so deeply felt, I know that I have not held my body in a loving, supportive way a lot of my life, negating what it has shown me, turning this around and loving our body, listening to what it says can be deeply transformational.

  313. This blog is a gem, to read again and again. The love and appreciation pours forth after each read. My body has endured much in the past 60 years being at my mercy, emotionally, physically and psychologically. Thank God for Serge Benhayon showing us another way, and thank you Dragana for such an insightful blog.

  314. Every word in your blog stands with such power Dragana! The words speak from the body to the body and are felt in every cell. And the re-found dedication to caring for the body is seen and felt as forever deepening, which is truly inspirational to us all. Thank you!

  315. The body is our means to our kingly heaven here on earth. This should be taught to children from a very young age, to love and adore ourselves, to treat our body with the utmost love as it is the vehicle in which to house our soul. Our bodies are the true temple and our chariot to reconnect to God.

  316. “Any time I got cold, flu, fever, ah and those horrendous perpetual headaches, I’d get cross. With you. Yes, ironically YOU.”
Everyone can relate to this Dragana, its amazing how we hold our bodies to ransom – the expectation for it to concede to our wayward choices is supremely arrogant when you put it like this.

  317. It is ironic and exposing the relationship we have with our bodies, and how we find it acceptable to abuse it in so many different ways, and yet at the same time we need it. I am learning everyday to be with my body and developing a deeper relationship but also sense there is so much more.

  318. There is a growing body of understanding that our body enhouses infinite wisdom and know-how of how to live and navigate life. We can cease on communications or listen attentively with an open heart to receive all that is offered to us incessantly each and ever moment by a body that lives our every choice and knows us intimately.

  319. I could say that until I came across Serge Benhayon and his teachings I had no clue to what extent I was abusing my own body, but that would be a lie, because I constantly received signals from my body that things were not right – having had it physically checked with my GP and specialists and finding nothing wrong, my way of dealing with it was to use cigarettes, alcohol and food to shut down what the body was telling me as I couldn’t stand feeling it.

  320. I love this line Dragana, “you were given to me merely as a vehicle for the one and only registered, responsible and fully comprehensively insured driver – my Soul.” Once we stop trying to control life to get what we want, the way becomes clearer, the road less bumpy and the vehicle is cared for and serviced regularly for we know that we have many miles to go in service to humanity.

  321. Great blog, Dragana, it really shows up how we take our body for granted when we do not realise our true purpose on earth as divine beings. We make it just about what I can get out of it for me, myself and I. Serge Benhayon, reminds us that we all have an ‘inextinguishable eternal fire within’ which gets dimmed and smothered but the spark is always there and can be re-ignited when we are ready and willing to let go of the human self and be the divine being that we innately are.

  322. It is so amazing that our bodies are always there for us, loving us no matter what we do to them. However the irresponsibility and impact of harming our bodies, through a myriad of methods, is undeniable, taking us away from true connection with and wisdom from our soul.

  323. Our bodies know as they are part of the universe and as you write so clearly in this blog Dragana, is that our bodies will eventually bring us back to our true origin just through magnetic pull through with we will be reunited back into the One.

  324. The journey for me to come back to connecting with my body has been a long and patient one. 12 years ago all I had was this awareness, so I started with just paying attention to it, by looking at it, and expressing with it through my work (I work as a stylist and photographer). I wanted to talk to my body, but I was not really listening to it talking with me. Caring for the body later meant to me what I can do or not do to it, without really understanding what it means or feels. For example, if I was told something is “bad” for me, I would stop eating it because I wanted to take care of myself, but I would have no idea how this food is affecting me or how it feels when I eat it, but I would avoid it like the plague because I do not want to make any more “mistakes” with my own body. That went on for a while, until I realized it was not working anymore, as I am cutting out almost everything and I was not enjoying life, as every day feels like a prison—I was choosing to imprison myself in ideals and beliefs, and that clearly did not feel like truly living! But hey, at least I am feeling—I am now feeling and hearing what the body is telling me. In fact, because of not nourishing myself, I am feeling everything so magnified that I would go into reaction and nervousness most of the time. Again, that did not prove to be a wise choice. It was through so many choices of what did not work, that I slowly began building a relationship with my body, as I gave it trust to tell me what is really going on. Now I am beginning to understand what it means to really care and nurture myself, I have to feel and be aware of the constant communication that goes on with my body, to honor as well as to be honest to everything that is being communicated, and there is no perfection or ideal destination to be reached, in fact I can only take care of each moment, and the next will unfold for me to choose again. And I am really enjoying the process, for the first time I feel a living relationship with my physical vehicle.

  325. Why is it as humans we always look for ways around things that are inconvenient despite the fact that we’ve either created them or contributed to them. Just this week, I saw an article about a ‘great breakthrough’ for a pill that allows people with gluten intolerence to eat gluten. Hello, what’s that about? Gluten is a known contributor to many health conditions and overall is heavy and ‘glue like’ for the body. So as sensitive being, our body says ‘nope, I can’t deal with that’ then why oh why would you want to have a pill that blocks the messages the body is giving around the gluten intolerence to allow you to have it? Doesn’t the body then need to find another way to give the message?

    1. I sometimes wonder if Responsibility could go in a pill form would we take it 3 x per day or would it be the one medication we’d keep our mouth sealed for?

      1. Great question Dragana, Responsibility seems to be thought upon as a bitter pill when, is it in truth it is the very remedy the body is crying out for? The elixir of life. What if it were to be prescribed as an intravenous drip 24/7? 🙂

  326. The support that our body gives to us is second to none, and never does it waver from keeping on functioning even after all of the abuse we have subjected it to. Last week I really got to feel how my body wasn’t for me and that it had a far greater purpose in my life, and I felt the power of movement with my body, and how in that movement the purpose could be felt.

  327. The human spirit loves to go to ‘blame’. Blame is its go-to place when it chooses to remain in ignorance of its careless, loveless behaviours, one of which is the trashing of its very own vehicle. It is a most petulant act but such an ingrained default. As you say Dragana: ‘When I found a small lump on your right breast and fear kicked in almost instantaneously that something malignant might be going on, guess who was the culprit (yet again). How dare you ‘give me a lump’!’

  328. “your sweet organ of harmony,” (the liver). I absolutely love this tiny phrase. I remember my grandmother saying whenever someone was out of sorts, or angry, that they were “livery”. “Why are you so livery?”, “He got really livery.” makes sense, when we are ‘livery’ we are out of harmony. Old words and wise words revealing that we do know the truth of this.

    1. Indeed Jeanette…. where I was raised there was/is a saying: his/her liver got completely consumed (eaten up) by his/her anger, meaning anger is a poison for the liver!

  329. “I get given a wonder (you, the body) that does not belong to me, but whose particles belong to the Universe, to love, to cherish and to behold and what do I do with it? I abuse it. Let’s call it for what it truly is – An ultimate in Arrogance.” when you put it like this, it is a really wake up call, how much we abuse our body, when the particles don’t even belong to us.

  330. It is so wonderful to stop the fight and surrender to the body’s infinite wisdom. And in my later 50’s I have never felt better in my life!

  331. What an amazing, exposing and so very relatable letter Dragana and yet at this stage I can’t promise my body I will never abuse her again – but I can certainly express my huge love and appreciation to my body and how I am so enjoying developing a loving relationship, listening and doing my best to not harm her. Every now and then I lose it in one way or another like I did the other evening when I overate a lot of deeply fried and crunchy fish skin. The next day I felt so sick and had terribly indigestion and was full of the never again, again. The reality is that whether it be food, emotions, thoughts or whatever, there will always be times when I hurt my body. For me those times are become less and less and when I do so my body speaks much, much louder, tells me very clearly (usually even before I do it) and I am listening to the best of my ability. Having this relationship with my body is very precious and very joyful and these days I don’t judge myself when I slip up, just use it to learn from and find ways to support myself to slip up less and less.

    1. Good point Nicola. The way I see and feel about it – as long as we are moving in the right direction ie “imperfect but correct” (to quote Serge Benhayon) there will be evolution and so the ‘never’ here is about being ‘blissfully unaware’ rather than perfection

  332. If we really want a relationship with unconditional love, we have it right before us, within us — with our own bodies. Our bodies love us back no matter what, and that includes the ailments it brings us, the communication through illness to arrest our wayward ways. We have the closest, most trusted ally right there, always with us, carrying us through life and yet we abuse it through and through and dismiss its tenderness and wisdom. No wonder the world is spinning out of control.

  333. There is no denying the fact of every choice we have lived and its effect on our body – for the body reveals this to us loudly and clearly, sooner and if ignored, later.

  334. What a wonderful and so very horribly true letter Dragana – one I could certainly also write to my beautiful body. One of many things that struck me was how we can at times shovel things into our mouth that we wouldn’t flush down the toilet and how often we treat our amazing bodies as a rubbish bin as you described.

  335. I have lived in absolute arrogance for many many years overriding and ignoring my body and the messages it offered me as it screamed out for love and nurturing. Having come to the teachings of the Ageless Wisdom presented by Serge Benhoyon and Universal Medicine and feeling true self love and nurturing modelled to me Serge has given my an awareness of just how harsh and abusive I have been not only with myself but with towards others. Learning to reconnect with myself, feeling my body and loving and nurturing my self has supported me to be more sensitive with myself and how I nurture my body.

  336. “Who else would…?” abuse one´s body. On one hand, we are so much identified with and by our body and on the other hand, we don´t hesitate to abuse it whenever we like. We may ask who is this ‘I’ that treats the body like a thing it can do with whatever it pleases? The simple fact that we have these two entities, body and ‘I’, is enough to know that we are not the body but inhabitants of a body and obviously this inhabitant doesn´t care too much about it as long as the body puts up with its driver. That is an interesting image, imagine our cars would simply stop driving or kick us out whenever we abuse it? The body cannot kick us out but definitely it knows how to communicate with us and when it is needed give us a stop to reflect on our behaviours and attitude.

  337. “You dear Body always found a way to communicate with me – I on the other hand like a tantrum-ing toddler stubbornly and paradoxically kept refusing to so much as lend you my ears.” Such a great line, I can feel that there are many millions of people who can relate to these words, in not listening to our bodies and how very clearly it communicates to us, but we then ignore.

  338. And every time I come to this article to read it all, or a paragraph here or there, my body says thank you and speaks a little louder… or maybe I am just willing to listen with a little more respect and care.

  339. seeing/becoming aware is a great and super important starting point on the trajectory of change

  340. Wow Dragana there is nothing to add as you said it all in your delicious love letter – “That you were given to me merely as a vehicle for the one and only registered, responsible and fully comprehensively insured driver – my Soul.” That is really something most of us has to ponder on!

  341. The cycles of abuse and neglect for my body definitely have had an impact in the way I am in the world and with people. The more I can let go and allow myself to be the Love that I am the more I get to feel how amazing my body is.

  342. One can live life and travel the world searching for that ‘something’ that makes them feel complete and whole, and yet this ‘something’ is right under our nose, our body. There becomes no way one can disregard their body once that ‘something’ (soul) is felt through reconnecting to it.

  343. As Serge Benhayon says in his book, An Open Letter to Humanity, p 581 …. ‘Our body is the marker of all truth – it responds very honestly to what we put into it and how we treat it.’

  344. Love your multi-dimensional way of seeing and writing Dragana. All systems are interconnected and consist of inter-relationship – something we rarely consider in our reactive, impetuous way of living. I can relate to every rage-ful frustrated thing you say in the following passage, and how these reactions are in fact the very damaging factor that is destabilising the technological networks that we have built ‘out there’: ‘I’d slam doors, fist the desk, threaten to boomerang my electronic device through the window and get seriously annoyed with internet service providers when I could not connect to send or receive emails; yet I would not even blink once in consideration when pouring coffee/caffeine down your throat causing chaos within your web of nerves and giving shock to your nervous system. Go figure! A Hypocrite as well’.

    1. it makes so much sense when we connect the dots and it is so much more empowering when we realise the inter-connectedness of all the networks – the ones within and the ones ‘out there’ as you say Lyndy

  345. Oh Dragana how beautiful and revealing at the same time. The maltreatment of our bodies as such is us been abusive to ourselves. As you pointed out, our bodies never judge us, only being but our most loyal friend, this is gold.

Our bodies have a purpose, a designed purpose as you have said ‘That you were given to me merely as a vehicle for the one and only registered, responsible and fully comprehensively insured driver – my Soul.
When i take it to this level, i feel a whole new level of responsibility to my body!

I like you, when even considered this until met Serge Benhayon and as you said, when i met a body of truth, my relationship wiht my body changed forever!

    1. Yes I agree Karoline. This ‘That you were given to me merely as a vehicle for the one and only registered, responsible and fully comprehensively insured driver – my Soul.’ . . . brings a whole new level of responsibility to how I see and feel about my body too and it completely takes the ‘i’ out of the equation. It makes one consider that treating our body well is for a greater purpose and it’s not about the ‘little me’ who looks at things like I’m missing out on the ‘chocolate cake’ things in life so to speak. For the All and because we are precious not for the indulgent I.

  346. Above all else this is what we all want yet play ball with the desires of the spirit “I would have loved to have written this letter to you as “our body” for that is how it truly is, but how could I make such a claim when all I had done for aeons had been the antithesis of ‘our’ – a union of body and Soul – and the responsibility this sweet word commands.”

  347. The absolute (!!) magnificence of our body and how much it cares about and loves us is incredible. I couldn’t have described it better in words. Thank you Dragana, I feel like you’re sharing on my behalf. The more loving I am with my body, the more my body responds with love. Amazing and also quiet logic and natural. Nevertheless, not the experience (yet) of the majority living on our earth. Sadly so.

  348. It’s incredible what the body can endure but eventually it gives way and after we have ignored so many signs shouts at us much more loudly to stop.

  349. Thank you Dragana for being all that you are and writing so honestly about your body – to your body. A greater science for us to understand that all choices effect our bodies and that we can either harm or heal our body by our choices as Serge Benhayon has presented and Myself have felt. To be aware of this again asks us to be way more responsible and act on it too. Thank God for Serge Benhayon for taking that responsibility and now for us to take it, the whole of humanity, so that we can expand our awareness and walk forth..

  350. Thank you Dragana for this in depth observation of your body. It brings to the fore what a magnificent instrument/vehicle we are all blessed with.

  351. Amazingly honest and open letter Dragana. This exposes the lack of love that most of us have for our bodies and questions the so called intelligence of humans in our abuse of the vehicle that is to carry us through this life.

  352. There is no way I would feed an animal all the toxins I have put into my body, it would be classed as abuse and rightly so but I would happily fill this body with poison and call it entertainment in order to justify my choice.

  353. My body certainly knew something extraordinary had happened when I met Serge Benhayon for my first healing session. I had been fighting with my body for some time over its need for meat and my stubborn desire to be a vegetarian. After the session and without a word spoken about food, I went straight to buy some chicken. I had known for so long that I needed to start eating meat again but meeting Serge gave my body a loud and clear voice that I had to listen to. This humbling experience was the beginning of reorienting my focus away from my arrogant mind and back to my endlessly loving and wise body.

  354. Hello Dragana and we could all write a similar letter to our body. When you have done it you can see how many things just don’t make sense and in fact go against ourselves. You could almost take the letter as a report to a Government agencies and have yourself investigated for some type of abuse, to yourself? If you were afraid that you would find out that it was you that reported yourself you could send it in anonymously or sign it off in a different name. I know that sounds ridiculous and so is the fact of what we choose to do to ourselves, thank you Dragana for the letter and exposure.

    1. It actually sounds a pretty reasonable thing to do Ray for if someone else was abusing our body to these levels we would have probably reported them to adequate authorities!

      1. Very true Dragana or at the very least there would be many people that know them talking about it. It’s interesting to look at it this way in that we are more inclined at this point to say nothing at all and in fact support them to keep doing it. Where as when you put it in a letter like this it changes our view and you feel like you need to take action. It may put a few of us in a different position the next time we speak to some one who is using alcohol. We may not laugh and go along with their ‘night out’ story and may want to go into bat for their body.

  355. I found this blog very touching, as I too have used and abused my body and can still have that incredibly unintelligent arrogance. Our bodies so beautifully reflect how steady, patient and unconditional love can be.

    1. calling it as it is Fiona: “unintelligent arrogance” or unintelligent intelligence

  356. Yes our body is truly precious and does know everything that we need to know – what a joy to know this again! My body knows very well what is good for it and I am learning to listen to it instead of running my feet sore to be liked and please all the ideals and believes that I took on and are around in society to live up to.

  357. The union of body and soul is what we are all here for. Everything we choose is either supporting this or denying this.

  358. I just got to understand that everyone´s relationship with his/her body is very individual due to who we are, where we are at, the purpose we serve, our history etc. Before I was comparing myself to the kind of relationship others maintain with their body and thereby often feeling to not live up to what is ‘the right way to do it’. Now I am very inspired by others without comparing or judging myself or another but discerning the uniqueness on so many levels and honouring the similarities as well.

  359. When we look around at the relationships many of us have, there’s a tendency to push and test the person we are with, that we call our lover. Will they put up with this? Will they accept this excuse in place of the truth? Makes perfect sense though when you consider how we all are with our bodies. Because as your words beautifully show Dragana we are constantly rejecting and fighting against the very friend who is here with us for life. What would all of these relationships be like if we committed to making them about harmony and light?

  360. ‘Of course you always KNEW what you needed. You even knew what I needed too.’ – The more I have learnt to listen to the constant signals and communication from my body, the more I get to understand that our true intelligence is found in our bodies and not at all in the mind. Just look where the mind got us in the first place.

  361. In answer to the questions around what we consume being healthy for us or not, we only need ask our bodies. For example, if we were to ask our livers and kidneys if alcohol were good for us, the answer would be pretty plain!

  362. When you break down our days into moments, it is clear to see en masse how ‘normal’ we have made abusing our bodies. From being driven and hard at work, to being completely non-committal in general.. how much have we explored actually living life in a way that will make our body flourish?

  363. Reading this blog does make me question how we allow ‘whole’ health to be such a one-sided show with the body being taken so much for granted – this blog has exposed the ignorance and the arrogance of the spirit or mind in it’s disregard. Our body is amazing and all of the Divine Wisdom you have claimed – thanks Dragana.

  364. If we each reflect on our bodies every loving whisper, gesture and revelation we will arrive at an endlessly consistent expression of love since the moment we were born.

  365. Our bodies put up with a lot from us, they also give us messages constantly should we choose to listen.
I am super thankful that I have also had the experience of meeting and getting to know Serge Benhayon and from his living example, waking up to the magic of my own body, our bodies and its/their innate wisdom.

  366. Realising the love and support our bodies give us and that our particles we are made of are parts of the particles of the universe makes sense can be felt by us inside and is beautiful to claim and appreciate, thank you Dragana for this beautiful insight and offering .It is so welcome in times when our bodies are crying out to be listened to patiently and loved by ourselves and honoured tenderly to be in union with our soul as our very livingness.

  367. Our bodies never actually need to forgive us, because they never have any negative thoughts or feelings about us, in the first place. People only feel the need to forgive each other because they have felt hurt. If we can therefore come to a place where we all understand that another person can never make us feel any-thing because we are responsible for how we feel, then we shall eradicate the need for forgiveness.

  368. If our bodies were actually another person then we would have been sued, assaulted, ignored, cut off, victimised, murdered, tortured, cast adrift, incarcerated, castrated by them, but the body being the body, we are simply allowed to do with it what we will, for as long as we like and when we start to care for it then it is as willing as a puppy to come on board. How incredible is that?

  369. ‘Remember when you ended up in an emergency hospital with a vitamin B12 injection because your heart nearly packed up? Just because I had long and hard hung onto my ‘vegetarian’ badge, deeply steeped in the belief that ‘meat was murder’ all whilst you craved meat and needed it to eat. Of course you always KNEW what you needed. You even knew what I needed too.’ Oh yes Dragana, we have all had some mad beliefs or idea about life that bore no relation to what the body actually needs, yet we imposed them upon the body, simply to protect a hurt that we had. Thank Heavens for Serge Benhayon’s presentations which has helped us become aware of and deal with our hurt so that our bodies are not consumed by our madnesses.

    1. i remember a line in a song from my childhood that said: Fools die for ideals! Sums it up!

  370. It makes absolute sense that we take the possible greatest care of our vehicle of expression, which is our body.

  371. “You my dearest Body knew what a body of Truth (Serge Benhayon) felt like when you met one. High five!” Everything in me felt the same, Dragana on my first meeting with Serge Benhayon! High five to me too! I also sensed at the time everything about my “treatment was about to change to how I and the stars had always known it to be.” My meeting with Serge Benhayon was profound and straightforward at the same time.

  372. When I first met Serge Benhayon it was like nothing else I had ever experienced before, as I could feel my particles responding to what I later realised was Love. There comes a time when we must accept that the body knows. It knows because it is a part of God, so all we have to do is listen to it.

  373. There is nothing that stands by us like our bodies, or that forgives us so easily when we finally choose to love them. How can we ignore and abuse such immense love that once honoured rewards us with vitality, wellness and joy? What are we choosing to really miss out on, “getting out of our heads” or feeling like a bright spring day everyday of our lives?

    1. great call Steve. There is something very skewed here – – that we can be loving animals more than ourselves

  374. ” ….. of course you always knew what you needed”. Our bodies do know what we need, as you say, and are constantly giving us signals, but do we pay attention? Sometimes it takes a big medical crisis for us to ‘wake up’ and make different lifestyle choices. However I have noticed that often when the drama is over and a cure has occurred many slip back into old habits. Why are we then surprised that the medical problem reoccurrs.

  375. Gees this is amazing. I can just see it being preformed like a piece from Shakespeare. How often do we forget how important our bodies are and what they mean for ourselves – and in that, others as well

  376. Having read this article yesterday morning my whole day was touched with an active dialogue with my body. Inspired by your letter, Dragana, and all that my body has to say. Thank you both!

  377. You are right Dragana – it is like the body knew the truth of the enormity of what Serge reflected instantaneously… yet it took our arrogant selves a bit more time to catch up, and truly begin to listen to what our bodies have been sharing with us all along… that we are indeed precious and respond to being treated as such.

  378. ‘To you and all your six senses it was easy to detect and register a man who holds his body like one might a little water in the palm of the hand in a desert – reads precious’ ….. I have to say, there was a ‘knowingness’ in my body also, when I first met Serge Benhayon. No wonder when his every movement reflects his knowing and honouring of the fact that he, along with everyone else, is part of the Universe, equally so.

  379. Dragana – yes your body is amazing for it’s forgiveness…but so are you amazing for your courage and humility to accept your erroneous ways and to ask for that forgiveness. Admiration and inspiration of you for that.

  380. “willingly and consciously” – which is in fact a beautiful invitation, because it is absolutely the fact that we know precisely how to abuse our body and therefore, by definition, we also know precisely how to care for it. Which means that it is nothing more complicated than a choice.

  381. Reading your blog is like reading a letter to your best friend ever…and in a grander scope of things, that is actually what type of relationship our body has with us. Once this is clocked and realised that the body is there to provide, serve and love you back, it makes the activity of ‘self care’ and ‘self love’ all the more purposeful as a way to love the body back.

  382. ‘I get given a wonder (you, the body) that does not belong to me, but whose particles belong to the Universe, to love, to cherish and to behold ‘ ….. just love feeling the enormity of what you are sharing here, Dragana, that our particles belong to the Universe. My body is constantly inviting me to be aware of so much more than what is immediately under my nose, to get over myself and surrender.

  383. Knowing that the body and the way we treat, respect, honour it through hearing and listening to its communication, is the way back to soul…and indeed is like finding water in an arid desert. It took me ages, years to find the waters of bodily-respect again, thanks to the galactic reflection of Serge Benhayon – no desert mirage, but rather the solid truth of an a much cherished oasis.

  384. Thank you Dragana for a brilliant ode to our amazing body. It contends with so much , all that we put in it…. and how we drive it , and we expect it to run like a dream …well, what a dreamland we are in!

    1. there might be a song there Jenny (or at least a blog) – A dreamland we are in! 😉

  385. Dear body, so sorry that I still continue to abuse you even after all that I have learnt. I really do need to put you as more important than work, children, and everything else because without you I am no good for any of the things that need to be done.

  386. It is remarkable how much we ignore the signs and symptoms that our bodies send us. There is such an irony here – we complain when we are ill or have a pain or injury, but then when we feel ‘good’ we indulge in things that make us feel bad. It begs the question, what is it that we are listening to when we make these choices? If it was a message from our bodies we wouldn’t do such things, so could it be that these messages are coming from somewhere outside of us, tempting us to choose things that will knowingly keep us feeling that we are not enough, and that we need to prove ourselves before we are totally accepted for being who we are.

  387. It is incredible what our bodies manage to cope with and all that they do to process the ills that we put into them! Worth considering working with all that intelligence and wisdom rather than against it…

  388. A tender, loving relationship with our own body has the power to change the world, to set humanity on a very different course than what it is heading towards today. A loving relationship with our bodies heralds a loving relationship with ourselves and all our brothers. It is the foundation needed for the world to truly change.

  389. “Just because I had long and hard hung onto my ‘vegetarian’ badge” Dragana it was only when I stopped being a vegetarian that I was able to see that mixed up in my strong feelings about animal rights was also some sort of sense of achievement at having been a vegetarian for so long and for also having given up fish as well as meat. The interesting thing is, my decision to start to eat meat again wasn’t a hard one to make and neither was it one that I ever questioned and that’s because it was a clear decision made from my body and not my head.

    1. lovely experience Alexis and the stark difference when a decision comes from the body not the head – easy.

  390. Does the world not want to sit up and take notice of how our bodies are reacting to the current lifestyle of many people on this planet? Illness, disease and obesity are prevalent, cancer is common place, people are exhausted and anxious. This is not a normal way to live but we seem to have accepted it as such. Our poor bodies are suffering and until we wake up and ask why, then our bodies will continue to suffer and shout louder and louder until we begin to do something about it. When I met Serge Benhayon my body jumped for joy at the recognition that I had met another body that was just like mine, made of pure love, only I had buried that love so deep I couldn’t feel it anymore… so thank you Serge for the reflection and thank-you Dragana for your gorgeous letter to your body, it is one I will take to heart and read often.

  391. This is beautiful Dragana. I still marvel at the degree of abuse that I have inflicted on my body over the years and that there is no way that I would have accepted this abuse if it were another that was doing it to me. Yet when it is self inflicted it seems like it is OK or the abuse is not recognised. It is a lovely reminder that our bodies don’t belong to us but to the universe and that we are the carers for these bodies, this completely changes the way I view ‘my’ body and the care I take of it.

  392. Accountability and responsibility do not seem to be qualities that humanity easily embraces. What a loving patient teacher we have in our bodies, offering us again and again the reflections that can support us return to the loving expression that we are and evolve.

  393. I also felt a massive coming home when I met Serge many years ago now, and every time I listen to him speak and share how his life is and how the universe works my body feels very much at ease with the truths of life. My head on the other hand puts up a terrible fight!

  394. Often we treat our bodies in a way that we would never treat someone else. Ironic isn’t it? The amount of abuse that I have given my body over the years came to a halt when my body delivered me breast cancer several years ago. It was my full stop moment and a gift from my soul to say “Hey isn’t it time you have a look at how you are treating yourself. It is time to stop this abuse and learn how to truly self nurture”. The body holds a deep wisdom that shows us the truth of the choices we have been making. It never leaves us and is always there as a reflection. The more we honour it in all that we do we then feel the beauty of inhabiting it.

  395. Our arrogance is exposed when we get annoyed with our body for being sick, and yet it is us who is not taking care of it, or appreciating that it just may be clearing stuff we have imposed upon it!

  396. “You knew the time had cometh when I’d clock that you were given to me to serve a much greater purpose, and for that I had to keep you sacred and to keep you in stillness so that you and I could live and reflect the Divine on Earth.” – wow, if this was understood from birth how different our lives and our world would be.

  397. There is a wealth of wisdom in this beautiful letter. ” No way this kind of behaviour is practised anywhere else in the Universe.” This line alone speaks volumes. When I look at the stars I see and feel only divine order. When I observe the way I am with my own body and the way we as a human race live I see struggle and chaos. We make movies about enemy alien invasions and yet we are are own worst enemies, wreaking havoc on our bodies and the universe.

    1. ha, funny and so true – who needs aliens to invade and wreck havoc when we are do a pretty ‘good’ job!

  398. Dragana, I could cry reading this. I shall read it again and again. Giving myself permission to really feel how I’ve disregarded my body is huge. The realisation is here already as I feel this every time something that is disregarding happens so strongly.

    1. giving ourselves permission to feel the disregard we have inflicted on our bodies is absolutely great but also equally important is NOT to go hard/hash on ourselves as there is often tendency to do so…which is counter productive

  399. Dragana, I love this article, it is gorgeous to read how we are made to be united with our bodies, ‘‘our’ – a union of body and Soul’, I too abused my body for years, that is changing now and when I do move in a way that feels gentle, graceful and tender this feels divine and natural – the way my body wants to move, now when I don’t move with this gentleness and grace and move in a hard, jarring way instead it feels very unnatural and painful – it’s very clear when I am in union with my body and when I am not.

  400. ‘You dear Body always found a way to communicate with me – I on the other hand like a tantrum-ing toddler stubbornly and paradoxically kept refusing to so much as lend you my ears.’ – It is shocking to wake up and realise the gigantic harm we have relentlessly put our bodies through – it is no less than a miracle that the body has survived.

  401. We use and abuse our bodies constantly, yet they belong to the divine scheme of things. And hence we don’t actually get away with any of this abuse, because it all comes back in some way or another, and thankfully so, to reign us back from too much waywardness. Thank you Dragana for this very powerful and lighthearted yet poignant and amazing blog.

  402. In reading your article tonight I feel deeply the level of responsibility you have owned in knowing, without doubt of the divineness that you are. That your body is not something to use for indulgence, but instead there to be honored, loved and respected as the way our world will again remember the beauty from which we all came. Deeply inspiring and a call to consider my own responsibility of living my divineness from within.

  403. “Instead of getting closer to you and being ONE with you my dear Body, I had consciously built a gulf between us.” Dragana, this has been so familiar to me and it was in an Esoteric Healing course that Serge said a few simple words to me that allowed me to recognise my own body and the relationship I was to have with it, that my body was in fact THE only way through which I could know truth. The truth of my innate essence.

  404. What a spectacular blog Dragana, bought tears to my eyes, because I could relate to so much of it. How very much we abuse ourselves and then wonder why our body responds in the way that it does, a very sobering read, I loved it.

  405. In the past, I was deeply irritated when my body attempted to interfere with the lifestyle I was choosing. It never occurred to me that it was trying to help me by slowing me down or making me unwell. If I had listened to the messages from an earlier age, I would have made very different choices. It shows how important it is to build a foundation of love for the body and listen to it from an early age, but later is better than not at all.

  406. I can remember the first time Serge Benhayon questioned whether we treat our bodies like a ‘piece of meat’ that has no ‘intelligence’, whether we use it as a dumping ground and just expect it to be ok with that and to continue to perform as per normal. I bristled a little at the idea and thought, initially, no I don’t, but as he continued to talk, I felt the truth in what he was saying and it was the first time I had ever considered what it would be like to be my body, to be on the receiving end of the disregard I had been dishing out. It was a significant moment for me and my body.

  407. I expect most, if not all of us, could write a very similar letter in the sense that we, at some stage or another, have grossly mistreated our bodies and just expected them to still function in the way we need them to, with zero tolerance or interest in how they cope with the abuse. I have definitely used my body as a dumping ground on so many levels and then felt annoyed that it’s ‘let me down’ when I’m not feeling so well. The truth is, my beautiful body is merely allowing me to feel the consequences of my choices.

  408. ‘Any time I got cold, flu, fever, ah and those horrendous perpetual headaches, I’d get cross. With you. Yes, ironically YOU’ – It’s so interesting that our bodies are often the first to blame when we get sick, get headaches or even injure ourselves, even though these things happen solely because of our own choices and they are designed to flag up the fact that our decisions may not have been loving and to support us to take more care… It’s a classic example of shooting the messenger, delivering a reflection of how we’ve chosen to live.

    1. love that “a classic example of shooting the messenger”
If it weren’t crazy it would have been funny

  409. The way that we treat our body ultimately reflects the way that we feel about ourselves. If we hate ourselves we will treat our body with disrespect. If we love ourselves we will treat it with love. I find that this is a great marker, and one that I can use to look at how I am feeling about myself and why. If I then take the time to change the way I treat my body it helps me to feel good about myself. It works both ways.

  410. So many times we can treat the body as the enemy, stopping us from doing exactly what we like. But if we change the attitude and know that our body loves us more than anything and is simply taking care of us and showing us what we need to know, our relationship with our body can be totally different. It seems absurd that we would not want to take care of the one thing that is totally ours. Trashing it is just not a sensible option!

  411. Reading this blog it seems crazy how we use and abuse our bodies and brush this off as normal behaviour. Yet, when we look at current illness and disease statistics clearly everybody’s body is protesting and making a statement about our lived choices. The accident and emergency rooms in hospitals all over the country on a Friday and Saturday night and increasingly during the week say much about the self-abuse that we are choosing.

  412. “With two ears and impeccable hearing ability I remained deaf to every communication from you …” It is quite incredible just how astute our senses are, yet some how we choose to ignore some very loud and very obvious messages from our bodies. Been there, done that got the T-shirt. Meeting a person who pays attention to every single message, both big and small was an enormous eye opener and consequently a pivotal life changing moment. Learning to admit and then pay attention to our body’s perpetual messages may seem a new education but its roots sit firmly in the Ageless Wisdom, a wisdom we have always known but turned a deaf ear to eons ago. Learning to cherish our selves once more is not rocket science or even new science, it is about returning to our ‘common sense’, a sense we all have and a sense we can all choose to pay attention to if we choose, a choice that is highly recommended by Serge Benhayon’s body, your body and thousands of other bodies, mine included.

  413. It is with such arrogance that we abuse our bodies like this – just as I have done in the past in so many ways but as you have written Dragana, our bodies do not judge us for it, they continue to work to bring us back to a natural state of harmony with all things.

  414. Beautifully expressed Dragana and you write this for all of us, well definitely for me as this has been the same journey I have had just with a slightly different flavour. In adoration of our divine make up and knowing that we have never ever left us that our Soul knows truth no bounds.

  415. It occurs to me after reading this blog that our bodies are constantly reflecting to us true love and constantly showing us the universal order and understanding that is God’s love.

  416. What I’m realising (more and more) is how a caring relationship with my body is different than a nurturing relationship with my body. Both are needed and I can see how I’ve put an enormous amount of energy into a caring relationship with my body. Which is too appreciate deeply. However, as long as I don’t include the nurturing part into it, I’m missing out on me and will keep looking for myself. It requires an openness and willingness to give myself permission to truly feel me while I’m in life and feel what my body wants to do. Making the body the central focus, rather than my mind.

  417. “Any time I got cold, flu, fever, ah and those horrendous perpetual headaches, I’d get cross. With you. Yes, ironically YOU. To me, you and all the symptoms were a nuisance, a great hindrance preventing me from doing what I pleased. With two ears and impeccable hearing ability I remained deaf to every communication from you, to all those little and the big signs, the only ways you knew how to speak with me.” Great point Dragana, how frequently we get cross with our ailing bodies, seeing it as a sign of weakness. Indeed there is a huge consciousness that sees illness as failure and hence the stop that is being offered by the body is overridden and the cycle of self abuse continues.

  418. I shudder at the way I have treated my poor old body over the years, thinking I was rebellious or something when the only one I was truly hurting was myself. Its one of those things I would turn back time for to treat myself with more love than I did but I know I will look back in the future and know that the way I live now is still abusive compared to the true love that I have been shown is possible.

    1. shudder is a great description – brrrrrr and yes the ‘rebellious’ side (at our own expense of course) comes from that ultimate in arrogance attitude that somehow we are ‘untouchable’. That is until a disease/pain/illness show us that it is not so

  419. Why do we blame the body for its malfunctions and breakdowns when we’ve been the one trashing it and poisoning it and refusing to listen? So that we don’t have to take responsibility for our own choices and make changes to the way that we’re living.. our bodies are so incredibly sensitive that each and every choice is reflected back to us through it.

  420. The more we listen to the messages from our body, the more loudly it appears to speak to us, until we can no longer ignore or override what it says and do what we want to it. The truth is that it has always spoken very loudly to us, but we’ve found so many ways to numb ourselves to its messages. I loved this – ‘you were given to me to serve a much greater purpose, and for that I had to keep you sacred and to keep you in stillness so that you and I could live and reflect the Divine on Earth.’

    1. A great message Bryony Inge about the purpose of the body that is far from how we chose to support it in the truest sense. A humbling piece of writing that so far has read volumes in my body.

  421. Its really easy to live in blissful ignorance to the body and its signs, even with heightened awareness that everything is everything, meaning that all occurs as a response to another occurrence, a choice will lead to an outcome, I still found myself with a heady cold that left me feeling pretty run down and my first thought was not, what I have lived that has resulted in this, my first thoughts were, I am sick, I want to get well. But that is not enough really, because there is no evolution in that way of seeing life, and it leaves me open to getting sick in a stronger way from the same choice again. So I know there is deeper responsibility for my long term health in listening to my body in a quiet space and seeing what comes to me as to why I suffered a cold, and what I can do to make being unwell a less likely occurrence.

  422. There is so much divinity, sweetness, understanding and truth in this article – thank you, Dragana – the delicacy of the words ‘you whispered to me’ expanded me in their revelation. My body has whispered to me endlessly and now as I come out of the shadows of many years of defiant dismissal and abuse, its sweet voice is heard above the clamour and I am beginning to listen and respond accordingly. I look forward very much to the day when I too can call it ‘our body’; a day that will come as I take more responsibility for the honour at hand.

  423. When I read your letter addressed to your body, its as if I am reading a letter to Love, to God. This only confirms the purpose of Self Care, of Self Love – as this care we take of the body is the doorway to our soul, to expand, to deepen and be in communion with love / God.

  424. “In true service and love” to our body – what a turnaround from the abuse and neglect. And what might we get in return? As demonstrated by Serge Benhayon time and time again, endless opportunities to step it up and become part of the vastness that we are, by birthright, already a part of, even if we try to clobber and obscure the fact and its livingness. Why do we prefer to play so small?

  425. Belonging not to me but something far greater calls for responsibility that this blog so beautiful shares with us.

  426. I love the way you point out Dragana the hypocrisy of reaction – a beautifully exposed juxtaposition and relation of these two destructive things. To come back to loving the body is indeed the medicine to these ills.

    1. don’t know if you’ve ever seen Faulty Towers, a British sitcom with John Cleese as the main character. There is an episode where he is meant to take his car for some fine tuning but procrastinates and as a result the car breaks down in the street in the middle of a very important dinner at his hotel where he is actually supposed to deliver guests’ food. He ends up beating his car and unleashes all his anger, fury and blame on the car. Great reflection about our hypocrisy of reaction

  427. I love it that the particles of our body belong to the universe, and that they respond to the impulse of this ever-expanding universe (something that science has now ‘proved’). The body has its own will that responds to harmony and we can either honour that and go with it or resist it because we do want to use the body as a play-thing or simply ignore it. Our body is a very wonderful register of all that we live. It is time to use it and not misuse it, going down to the smallest detail, a move that can only expand us even more.

    1. How can I have made anything other than working with my body, make sense? It is my lifelong ally and to misuse, abuse and disregard it is real insanity.

  428. The dedication and loyalty of the body is frankly astonishing, given how much stress, strain and abuse we put the body through and yet it sticks with us though it all and never gives up, always bringing us back, rebalancing and putting right what we put wrong.

  429. How can we knowingly abuse our body when its particles are of the Universe and not ours to own? The arrogance is exposed!

  430. My body was drawn to reread your beautiful blog this morning. The potential for us all to live in connection with each other from the honouring of our given body, the one body of love is the medicine our universe is calling for. In appreciation and celebration at the particle level for all we are given.

  431. It is certainly true for my body that it absolutely recognized the truth and quality of all Serge Benhayon represents on this earth. My body knew how to respond and offered me the same feeling and connection. This is a telling moment of choice, because we have free will and our minds can still choose again. Until there comes a time when we choose our living, loving constant support and guiding companions innate wisdom – our bodies, before the mind.

  432. Love it Dragana… everything about it, I can’t even say one thing stood out, because no sooner did I read something profound than something equally so followed. Absolute truth!

  433. I have noticed that we tend to start appreciating our body and reflecting on all the neglect and abuse we have put it through when we are facing illness or injury. Thank you for prompting a reflection ahead of such loud messages from our own body itself.

  434. “With two ears and impeccable hearing ability I remained deaf to every communication from you, to all those little and the big signs, the only ways you knew how to speak with me.” If we paid attention to these smaller signs we are less likely to be in a situation where we are told we have a serious illness or disease and think it ‘just happened’ and it’s down to ‘bad luck’. There have always been many signs before this point of diagnosis.

  435. The delicacy of our body is very clear after reading this blog. As well as the power. The power to function, the power to recover, the power to digest and the inmense power to communicate. Constantly. What if we would be taught to listen delicately to our bodies from day 1, wouldn’t that save us a lot of hurt and offer us a lot of joy. Imagine if our children would see vital, joyful, sparkling parents, grandparents, friends, teachers etc. all around them. Could it be that they wouldn’t be confused, but rather confirmed that the spherical way they are living actually is normal, rather than abnormal. Thank you dearly Dragana.

  436. I particularly love the way you have described how the body tells us something isn’t right, and how it will purge in rejection of anything that is not natural to it. It’s actually amazing.

  437. Beautiful Dragana! Amazing what reflection can open up. Reading this reminded me of just how much bigger, how much greater our bodies are than how we we’ve treated them. So much to appreciate.

  438. This is amazing and revealing Dragana. The way I have treated my body and ignored its messages until it shouted is abusive. I have had an abusive relationship with my own body, a relationship that I would not accept or tolerate from anyone else, yet I have meted out this treatment to the vehicle that is designed to carry me through this life. Ridiculous. I now treat my body with love, yet there are still small pockets of abuse that I am identifying and calling out, so that I have a truly loving relationship with me.

  439. Yesterday I had a appointment with a naturopath and we were going through some test results and she was explaining bits to me..doing her best to simplify the complexity that is our body..and one bit really stood out, and I will try to explain what she said – in very layman terms as I understood it – that when a certain part of your body is low on something, this other part will hide it whilst it builds up as another part may take from there as part of the normal process. Now not 100% sure I got the story right but the essence of it was how intricate the human body is and how it will do whatever is needed to support you and keep you in harmony.

And then you call in human arrogance as you so well described it that keeps our body working for us over-time, triple time, quadruple time…asking it to go above and beyond the normal magic it works for us.

No wonder it sends stuff back to us from time to time in ways of a head ache, a cold, a lump or a bump – it can only take on so much.

  440. Being reminded of a past where all those poor choices were made yet considered to be normal does not bring any reaction now as they are no longer being made. Yet I can see that in twenty years time, I will be able to look back and acknowledge many more shifts. That is sobering as to where i am now. It also feels great that as a student of The Way of The Livingness, I am choosing a more and more loving way of being.

  441. It is interesting that if another treated us in the way we can sometimes treat our own bodies we would be outraged. Yet we don’t question it when we do it to ourselves. It is like we think we are entitled to do this and never question it.

  442. I too have done all those things to my body – trashed it with alcohol, over-work, yo-yo dieting, late night parties, sex, overdoing it in the gym, the list is endless, taking my body for granted and expecting it to perform and remain healthy and strong despite the disregard. Thank you for reminding me how precious my body is and that how my body doesn’t only belong to me, it belongs to the Universe, and it is therefore my responsibility to continue to listen to my body and honour what it tells me as it always tells the truth and if I choose to disregard it, I will do so at my own peril, which of course affects every-body.

  443. It makes sense that given we are with our body 24/7 that we take the utmost care of it. Our body is our vehicle in which we drive around in day in and day out. The more we look after it, the better it drives.

  444. I love it Dragana! How very apt, and all so poignantly true. My very own cells were tinging as I read your words when you encountered Serge Benhayon for the first time… just shows that your body is my body and we are all of the one body. Our cells recognise Love when they feel it, it’s just a shame that our minds have to play catch-up and we try very hard to destroy our body until we wake up to our arrogance and begin to honour who we are, one body in the body of millions.

  445. The body is not to serve us. The more we make life about that, the more we forget that we are here to serve humanity and to do that we need the body as our best ally.

  446. Truly beautiful Dragana. You instantly eliminated the gulf between me and my body and catapulted me back to viewing my body as the precious miracle it is. I love the reminder that we do not own our bodies but that they belong to the universe as they are made form universal particles. A very powerful article, thank you.

  447. Ahh. We are a vehicle! We need to be our own mechanic and vehicle groomer, and listen to our motor intently, put the right kind of fuel into it, take care of the inner workings and external paintwork. Loving care will ensure we pass our annual “warrant of fitness” and registration.

  448. The body is indeed a wondrous instrument that constantly reflects who we are in the sense that we are either our true Self naturally in harmony with the body or the self that uses the body as and for whatever it likes in disregard to the body’s natural making. That way the body supports us inescapably coming back to our true Self no matter how long it will take us or how painful it needs to be to learn the lessons.

  449. ‘Any time I got cold, flu, fever, ah and those horrendous perpetual headaches, I’d get cross. With you. Yes, ironically YOU. To me, you and all the symptoms were a nuisance, a great hindrance preventing me from doing what I pleased.’ – My experience is that most people blame their bodies when they get tired, ill, obese etc. and by that, are prevented from doing what they please. It is crazy how upside down we have it, when in reality WE (our minds) impose the disregarding choices on our bodies, that leads us to the the end result.

  450. Your blog so powerfully highlights where true love comes from. It comes from one living the truth of their bodies through zero abuse and 100% commitment and with that honouring all other bodies in the same equal way.

  451. A mind blowing letter Dragana – the disregard for the body that you have summed up is very relatable, and the sad fact is that this is the norm in our society. To break out of this ill pattern and start to acknowledge the body as the divine vehicle it truly is, has been and continues to be life changing for me.

  452. I am still chuckling at this profound and powerful sentence relating to the Soul as being the only true driver of our vehicle (body). The annual cycle of renewing my car insurance will forever be felt as a confirmation and re-commitment to ‘getting myself out of the way’ to let my Soul be the sole driver of my vehicle (body) :).
“That you were given to me merely as a vehicle for the one and only registered, responsible and fully comprehensively insured driver – my Soul”.

  453. What a gorgeous communion, what a gorgeous intimate relationship and precious love affair we can have, all of us, if we so choose — but we don’t. To live in the honouring of our tender, precious body is to live in the honouring of all of life. But we omit this simple fact, and the world we live in today with strife, tension, suffering and struggle as the expected way to be, is the result.

  454. Simple, brilliant and to the point. This is a great blog Dragana. My body cried with the joy reading your words. This is the war we wage on our own body; the very vehicle that is with us through thick and thin. This also brings the understanding that there can be no true harmony in the world until we are willing to take responsibility for our own mini war and listen to the messages our body is constantly giving us.

  455. Stunning Dragana, the power of your words cut through any tendrils of self indulgence, sympathy and self-delusion. We DO choose to do this to ourselves.

  456. It goes without saying that to live life we need a body, but we have not been given just ‘a body’, we have in fact a body that is, in its divine design, obedient to the most beautiful universal laws. The science our bodies know is far beyond anything we can measure, yet it is entirely possible to make that intelligence, a very ordinary and everyday way.

    1. I love the words you have written, Rosanna, holding our body as a divine intelligence that is ‘obedient to the most beautiful universal laws’, everyday. Thank you.

  457. A great blog for me today as my body told me loudly and clearly that what I ate (and why I ate it) was not working today – the sleepiness I felt was like being drugged. A big lesson today.

  458. ‘when you met Serge you whispered to me in the silence of the Universe that we had met an equal, a role model, a spark that would ignite the inextinguishable eternal fire within’ – how wonderfully you have expressed what is a profound moment when our body is truly honoured and our soul is at long last able to recognise that we are returning home.

  459. Thank you Dragana, your appreciation of the wisdom that the body is constantly communicating is a beautiful reminder that the wisdom of our souls and the universe is there waiting for us all if only we are to listen and honour the messages.

  460. This letter opens up another level of truth for me and exposes more deeply the relationship I have with my body and the lack of responsibility/connection. It is like a light has been shone on me and I am realising that my relationship with it is only skin deep. I’m both disturbed and inspired by this piece Dragana.

  461. We are not taught to love and care for our body at a young age, therefore it is not something that we view as important, that is until our body starts to break down or we become miserable and depressed. Our body shows us the way, but we shouldn’t need to wait for a wake-up call to start taking care of it.

  462. Dragana I get the feeling we treat our iphone, ipad or even our iwatch with more care than our body. We get screen protectors for it, we service it, we clean it, we get protective padding and we pay heaps of attention to it. In fact we pay more attention to our smartphones than we do ourselves. Quite telling really and not something I had really considered until reading your article and see how normal it is for us to abuse ourselves.

  463. Arrogance indeed – we can all write at length… And yes, the marker of change for me was also Serge Benhayon – a man who holds his body as precious, because he lives in the absoluteness of knowing the divinity of his being, the love of his soul, that inhabits it.

  464. Kapow – an absolutely unignorable missive. Dare we return to such love…
    Thank-you Dragana Brown.

  465. Dragana, I absolutely LOVE what you have written here. It is about realising that there is so much love that we are always being held in, never an ounce of criticism nor an ounce of seeing ourselves as lesser by the body no matter what. Always a blessing to be connected to our soul via the body. Thank God for this.

  466. Brilliant, Dragana. Meeting Serge Benhayon and re-connecting to the love that has been there all along is a life changing moment indeed, and I can feel in your words what I too feel – that there is no going back to the lovelessness and abuse. Love is our natural way, and we are here to be and do so much more than to stew in our hurts and harm ourselves without a care for how it impacts everything around us.

  467. Reading this article really brings it home to the extent of the abuse we put our bodies through, not only with the things that are known poisons like alcohol, sugar, cigarettes but things that we believe are good for us i.e over exercising, faddy diets and so much more.

  468. There is a very different way we can look after ourselves and approach the relationship we have with our body; rather than seeing it as our plaything, toy or punch bag, if we can see that the particles/material that make us up are the same as what makes up every other person in the world, every thing in it and the Universe, then our choices can never be made with only ourselves in mind… We’re connected to and affect everything.

  469. “yet we (I) call ourselves an intelligent species.” The very fact that we know we are abusing ourselves but ignore it by dressing it up by saying ‘a little bit of what you fancy doesn’t harm you’ totally exposes the fact that the intelligence we pride ourselves as having isn’t really very intelligent at all…

  470. I absolutely love this Dragana. As one, who ignored this amazing body of mine so very often, even though it brought me to a grinding halt, not once, but many times, I can relate to every word you have written. But it wasn’t until it screamed so loud and so long that finally I did stop and I did listen, and even though I really didn’t like what it was saying I haven’t stopped listening. Now I can truly say I am in love with my body and although it may not be functioning as well as it could be at present, as I am understanding it more and more every day, it is now responding to my love and my care by growing stronger. But I know for absolute certainty that if I hadn’t met Serge Benhayon my body and I would still be strangers and still suffering in a multitude of ways.

    1. Countless are those who have much to thank Serge Benhayon for… Time sure will tell….

  471. .’…..the only ways you knew how to speak with me.’
Serge Benhayon has re-united us with a true friend, with true love, by fostering greater awareness of the body’s multitude of sounds, the truth of our loveless behaviours can no longer be hidden – there is no greater way to learn self care & responsibility.

  472. Dragana, this is such a beautiful blog that I felt teary reading it, teary seeing and feeling how incredibly arrogant most of us are towards our bodies. I love the tender way in which you address your body and it is this tenderness that will allow the hardness and arrogance to melt away and our true relationship with our body emerge. Thank you so much for this writing this blog.

  473. Thank you Dragana for sharing such a powerful and exposing blog. I have come along way to where I am today but I can still abuse my body ignoring the fact that my body belongs to the universe and does not belong to me. This really does make me pause to reflect on the bigger picture and my responsibility in it.

  474. This is such a poignant letter Dragana, one that many of us could have penned as well and a huge expose of the immense contempt that we generally hold our bodies in. What strikes me most here is how much we indulge our selves at the expense of our very delicate finely tuned bodies, consuming toxic substances that clearly do not agree with us and then getting cross because we feel ill. What gross arrogance. Your letter feels to me like some one waking up to the fact that they are actually driving around in a ‘formula one’ Mercedes Benz that up until now have been fuelling with low grade paraffin and finally getting the message that this is why it was not performing very well. Our bodies are so finely tuned, delicate and powerful, they deserve ‘formula one’ care 24/7/365 which when given delivers some awesome results and at present Serge Benhayon is leading the field with a universal winning formula that is well worth paying detailed attention to and applying in every way we can.

  475. Dragana, I feel that you speaking up on behalf of everyone’s bodies against the mistreatment suffered through uncaring and dismissive choices! If our bodies could speak in words what would they say? Yet, they do communicate in language we haven’t taken time to translate through pain and discomfort. Taking the time and care to listen is the greatest foundation for any relationship including that with our own bodies!

  476. The level of abuse that our body tolerates before it shouts so loudly that we have to stop and listen is a reflection of the unconditional love of God.

  477. There is a huge arrogance in thinking we can do what we like with our body, because it is ours, so if we choose to abuse it it won’t really matter. When we realise our body is a vehicle for us to en-house our Soul and reflect a loving way of being and that it is not ours to own, then this brings a whole new understanding to the responsibility we have in looking after and caring for our body.

  478. It is interesting how we think ourselves so clever and then as you say Dragana, we behave in some very ‘unclever’ ways, and people dismiss this as ‘we are just human.’ It would seem logical to look after the body but it appears we wait until it breaks down before we look and see what is happening. Even then, we sometimes still blame everything else but ourselves, and I was there too, not that long ago, until I understood another way to see this through the teachings of Serge Benhayon. The body is my greatest friend, thank you dear body.

  479. Dragana, this is a stunning piece of writing, thank you. What a beautiful testimony to your body and its innate intelligence – something that we all have but so often override through our own wants, needs and desires. A true wake up call and inspiration to all who read it.

  480. Thank you Dragana. I am reminded of the days when I would wake up ‘the morning after the night before’ and feel very clearly ‘never again’ – and I meant it of course because in that moment the message is ‘as clear as a bell’ and my body was unequivocally expressing how abusive drinking alcohol is to it. Eventually I paid heed – and having done so, started to listen to other messages from the body. Interesting how we still get hangovers even when we stop drinking! Life is very different when we do pay heed to the wisdom of our bodies. It is a way of life that I love more and more.

  481. I cried with appreciation, thank you Dragana for acknowledging the essence of how we are and who we are as a vessel, simply particles that belong to God and the universe, to read you express this feels very ground breaking for all bodies.
    Your Sincerely
    Sarahs Body

  482. Dragana, it is great to re-read your article, I can feel how ‘common’ it is for us to treat our bodies with disrespect, abusing them is ‘normal’, from what we put into them in terms of food and drink – sugary foods, alcohol, smoking, to how we move our bodies – how we push them to stay up late, carry things that are heavy, how we strain them and do not nurture and care for them, it seems to be rare for someone to care for and nurture their body – this can be seen as indulgent and selfish. Thanks to the inspiration of Serge Benhayon I have started to take care of my body, to value and respect it and to build an honouring relationship with it and to know that this is essential for my health and well being and also to how I relate to and support others.

  483. “I get given a wonder (you, the body) that does not belong to me, but whose particles belong to the Universe, to love, to cherish and to behold and what do I do with it? I abuse it. Let’s call it for what it truly is – An ultimate in Arrogance.” yes this is true for many of us, we do not take care of our body, but abuse it all the time and then wonder why we have illness and disease. The body is so intelligent and constantly letting us know what is not true and loving, it is us who don’t stop to listen.

  484. Most of us are in the arrogance that our body is our’s to abuse in any way we see fit, from doing ironman, climbing Everest to over sleeping, over drinking, over eating, but when we understand that our bodies are made up of divine particles that are really only on loan and totally are one with the Universe, it brings a whole new light to the matter.

  485. Extraordinary to have such a struggle within one organism.. and it goes without saying that the same fight plays out within me. A body that is a source of daily miracles that last a lifetime, vs a spirit that is wanton and destructive like a petulant child. The body never wavers but if we keep up the abuse over a lifetime has no choice but to reflect back the choices we have been making.

  486. If our only job were to be the guardian to tenderly care for our bodies, there would be a humongous line at the unemployment office. So, do we stand in line with the others that have been sacked or stand and support our best friend, us?

  487. Addressing your body Dragana you say, ‘To me, you and all the symptoms were a nuisance, a great hindrance preventing me from doing what I pleased.’ Oh yes I know this very well. I thought of my body as a great hindrance – fancy having to sleep, fancy having to stop to eat, fancy having to get a headache every now and then – what nuisance. Little did I realise that right with me was one of life’s greatest treasures! it reminds me of when the old alchemists used to say of the transmutative philosophers stone, ‘It’s there right under your nose if only you would bother to see it – everyone has access to it and it costs you nothing’.

    1. This is one of the greatest illusions that has been unveiled – the very vehicle that we see as a nuisance is in truth the most precious of gifts we have for it is our bridge to God.

      1. beautifully put Henrietta: “our body is our bridge to God” Who would have thought given the (mis)treatment 😦

  488. “You knew the time had cometh when I’d clock that you were given to me to serve a much greater purpose, and for that I had to keep you sacred and to keep you in stillness so that you and I could live and reflect the Divine on Earth.” Absolutely gorgeous words Dragana, said with so much love and respect… and very inspiring.

  489. Serge Benhayon is most certainly a glorious reflection, a U-turn point for many in their re-turn to who they truly are.

  490. If there is, and I fully know there is as you say Dragana, only one “… registered, responsible and fully comprehensively insured driver … Soul” for our bodies then we really have to ask who has been driving our vehicles with such arrogant disregard all this time?

  491. How did we become so self-righteous and arrogant towards our bodies? Through lack of self-care and control, in that the world isn’t the way we want it to be, so we’ll make our bodies the way we want them to be – in total disregard of the fact that our mental plan may not be true or supportive for our body.

  492. This is such a powerful letter Dragana… and could be written by any one of us to our own bodies – the details may be different but the abuse is still there. We are not taught from young to love and cherish our bodies – perhaps if we had there wouldnt be so much illness and disease in the world today?

  493. If we but only spoke and communicated to our own bodies the way in which they communicate with us, we may find ourselves in touch with a greater wisdom of knowing than we ever imagined possible.

    1. So true Cherise. We may spend years ‘educating’ the mind and gathering knowledge, yet if it is done at the expense of our bodies it could not be considered truly intelligent. All the while the body is communicating how our choices are affecting us. There s a natural wisdom that a body that is loved and nurtured expresses.

  494. Dragana what you’ve share with us reflects a depth of intimacy with yourself and humanity that is beautiful as it is profound.

  495. Yes, I too remember how my body took me to see Serge Benhayon and the joy it felt which was the first memory of true joy I have as an adult. My body certainly recognised that Serge has a body of Truth, Love, Joy, Stillness and Harmony and how that reflection has allowed me to connect to and start to live the same in my body. Like you there have been many tears along the way in recognising and letting go of all that is not that.

  496. Thank you for writing this letter for our body for it certainly deeply resonates with my body and in that I can feel the union with all.

  497. Ahhh..the purpose of self care defined…”I get given a wonder (you, the body) that does not belong to me, but whose particles belong to the Universe, to love, to cherish and to behold…”

  498. Deeply appreciating your sharing of deep appreciation, Dragana, of your body, of your meeting with Serge Benhayon – the body of Truth. I realise how I hadn’t even allowed that to be appreciated as much as it deserves. Nowhere near. Otherwise, my body’s designated driver would have been called back on duty 24/7, as the only name on the rota.

  499. I’m speechless, Dragana,
My body loved every word you expressed, when I made my first appointment with Serge, He asked me why I wanted to see him. I didn’t know why I only knew “NOTHING” was going to stop me from seeing him.

  500. Thanks Dragana for reflecting to me how I have treated and still do treat my body with such arrogance and disregard my Divinity.

  501. Dragana, this is a beautiful letter to your/our body as we can all relate to disregarding our bodies up until we met Serge Benhayon and felt/saw that divine reflection of absolute honour and love for his body there for us to feel and know.

  502. Our body is always communicating to us. Conscious presence – bringing the mind to be with the body in all that we do, develops a way of being where we first of all become aware of the body in what we are doing and then can feel if what we are doing is supportive or not. Our mind can play tricks on us, but the body will never lie, therefore developing a sound relationship with our body is the key to living a full life in harmony.

    1. Thank you Donna for breaking it down like this. I can be present with my body but can still override what I feel. It can be shocking and exposing when I know what I am doing is not loving yet I carry on doing it but the more I become aware in the moment of what I am doing, the more I am with my body to make a choice to be love or not as opposed to me running on autopilot.

  503. I am deeply touched by the truth and wisdom in your words Dragana. We live in seemingly separate bodies although we are one, held with the one body of God, yet we can live in isolation and deep disregard of this fact. Collectively we have the power to again live in union, and this is our true purpose.

    1. “Collectively we have the power to again live in union, and this is our true purpose.” Agree Victoria

  504. Wow Dragana, when I read this beautiful letter I can feel the absolute arrogance I have shown in my relationship with my own body. Although I have cleaned up my act significantly over the past few years the energy I choose is still very much the same, I eat ‘better’ foods but still eat to to dull myself without regard for the fact that my body belongs to the universe and not to me.

    1. Ditto, Leonne, I have come a long way from when I first heard about being at least self-loving to my body and I still have a way to go to fully claim all of who I am. As Dragana states, ‘one soul’, my soul our soul!

  505. It’s a real wake up call Dragana to realise the contempt and disregard I’ve held my body in, completely oblivious at times to the harm I’d inflict on it, and never putting 2 and 2 together from my choices and the consequences for the body. Serge Benhayon is indeed an amazing reflection and role model for how to live cherishing the body, and to do so in love for ourselves and in service to humanity.

  506. Divine reflection Dragana Brown, it is through the connection and honouring of our body that Soul can express on earth. The universal particles are singing, igniting the responsibility we all equally share. Thank you.

  507. What you have written Dragana is Truth from our body’s point of view but taken to be a normal of the world, how far we have diverted from Truth and created a life which is killing ourselves, how long do we have to keep doing this from the lovelessness we feed ourselves and call it normal or even worse enjoyment, how deep do we have to abuse ourselves in our patterns of waywardness from the Truth that we know in every one of our particles, how long do we have to continue before we stop, really stop? What I have also done to my body, when I really choose to stop, I mean really stop, deeply apologise to it and deeply appreciate it again, I am also observing how this changes the particles of everything and everyone around me.

  508. “You found that One human body that reflected God back to me so that I would know You (my body) is NOT mine to own. That you were given to me merely as a vehicle for the one and only registered, responsible and fully comprehensively insured driver – my Soul.” I’m feeling pretty teary and humbled. To feel the truth that is written here – my body is not for me but I am its guardian, to look after and nurture it to make it ready and able to enhouse my Soul so I can express the divinity that I am on this earthly plane of life. This is far from how I have been living for in reality my body has been enslaved by my will – forced to cope with and clear to the best of its ability, no end of abuses. I can feel so clearly right now the responsibility I have as my body’s guardian to look after and nurture it as I would a child in my care. I would do anything for a child, so to feel now that there is no difference between a child and my body makes me ask the question “what have I been doing?” and to express how deeply sorry I am to have been so disregarding of my most loyal friend.

  509. Our most precious body is the marker of Truth as it knows all our particles belong to the Universe, but what that really means I did not truly want to understand until like most of the time in my life too Dragana, that I had to experience all that is not Love and not union, to truly choose again what is simply Truth and Love.

  510. The love that you express here, Dragana, is beautiful.
Our body is our constant companion, yet the one we heap more abuse upon than any other, with the disregard and often contempt we usually reserve for someone whose existence we barely acknowledge. We treat our body like it is ours to do with as we wish, but it is the one place we have to express all that we are through the particles that make it up. Our body is an opportunity. An opportunity to be that which we know we are.

  511. Dear Dragana, powerful feeling blog – great to hear from you. I could feel your body and soul with you. I like how you ended with ‘our body’. This brings a lot of truth and love to it. A purpose in knowing our body in effect belongs to all as one. Tangibly it is not seen as this physically however, as the one body or uniting as a one humanity is our way home.

  512. It would be so powerful to have children taught at school that they in fact know it all, its within the body and the sign we feel from birth are part of what is our natural intelligence, that we don’t need to be conditioned but quite the opposite, we need to be anything but conditioned, to allow the bodily intelligence to remain foremost in all we do.

  513. This is more that a letter to the body. A wake up call to the responsibility we all have to the precious gift that we have been given to be part of this universe and a timely reminder of how often we treat it with such disregard and present this as a norm. A powerful piece from the author.

  514. ‘when you met Serge you whispered to me in the silence of the Universe that we had met an equal, a role model, a spark that would ignite the inextinguishable eternal fire within’, you have put words to the magic that is felt by so many.

  515. Wow, I was so deeply touched reading your exquisite letter this morning, Dragana, your expression is truly divine, thank you.

  516. Beautiful Dragana, you’ve given voice to how we are with our bodies and how that can change, and reading your words I can feel how it has changed for you and how you live taking care of your body. Inspiring.

  517. I agree. We do something that is not good for our body and we don’t want to know and we certainly want to do it again!

  518. Thank you Dragana for ever so brilliantly calling us all to deeply consider the responsibility we all equally hold, by way of accepting to walk this earth through our Divinely designed bodies of universality. As without our bodies this is not possible. The power and wisdom of your words represent the absolute truth of Heaven that we are here to live, through the union of our body (a Divine constellation of particles) and our Soul (the Light of God we are).

  519. This is an absolute honour to read and feel the depth of love and appreciation that is grounded for us all in waking up to our true purpose of living.

  520. Dragana, what a blog! It’s true we treat our body like a dustbin and a punch board and a dumping ground. It is the thing that we abuse when we are not happy with ourselves. We use it to get attention or pleasure to substitute the love that we have not chosen for ourselves. We put it in positions that are dangerous, we stuff it full of food that we don’t need, and we treat it as a thing that we use to get from A to B. Where is the honouring that our body deserves? It is an intricate, delicate, amazing piece of science that just keeps going and puts up with our horrendous choices. Time to change the attitude!

  521. I simply melted reading this Dragana. And it came from the depth of tenderness that you clearly now cherish and care for yourself, for only a body treated with love can be a vessel for the Soul to express through, as is the case here. Thank you.

  522. ‘You sensed that everything about your treatment was about to change to how you and the stars had always known it to be. You found that One human body that reflected God back to me so that I would know You (my body) is NOT mine to own.’ This is spectacular Dragana; and written through a body that is not owned, but held and respected as the vehicle for Divinity that it truly is.

  523. This is just gorgeous to read, there is true love in your words. This is how we all should honor our bodies, as this is our physical connection to the divine, living and breathing.

  524. To befriend ourselves, our own body, our closest confident and support – I love your picture at the beginning of the blog, speaks for itself

  525. Exquisitely said Dragana, just beautiful! I love considering that our bodies are made up of particles that belong to the universe, it really brings in the bigger picture of how much wisdom we have access to…

  526. Wow Dragana, I am in tears… This is a heavenly ode to our bodies, the vehicles through which divinity speaks but that we bludgeon and abuse to such a degree we can no longer hear the truth of our origins. Our particles belong to a far vaster intelligence than the so-called ‘intelligence’ we let run and so ruin them. Re-connecting to this wisdom brings us unfathomable joy, for it a re-union of Heaven and Earth, our Soul and the body that enhouses it – a homecoming in the truest sense. Thankyou x

  527. A beautiful sharing Dragana, that I feel every human should read! How different the world would be if we did learn how precious the gift of our body is. If we learnt to love and appreciate what we have a body for, our evolution as a Species would rev up a 100 percent. I too can only be grateful for the event of Serge Benhayon in my life too!

  528. This is brilliant Dragana. I clearly remember as a young teenager asking about sugar, treats, cakes and lollies and why we eat them when our body clearly doesn’t want them. We have the awareness because as you say our body is relentless in showing us, an example of pure and committed love. Even so, we over-ride, we indulge and we abuse it…only to find that one day the game will be up and the healing will inevitably occur…

    1. yet how many of us would consider everything that the body is showing us as an “example of pure and committed love” (love the expression), which of course it is Sara

  529. Dragana, I love it. Love what you have shared here and perfect timing as I am off for a scan about a little lump in my breast. Hmmm, I think my body is telling me something about not putting every thing else as more important than my own self. Self love is where I need to spend some time, with me.

    1. looking around, reading daily news… it would appear that not only should we all be spending more time in the self-love closet but that it ought to be compulsory

  530. Hello Dragana and a very interesting letter and when you put it like that it really does wake me up more to what we do and have done to our bodies. It’s quite comical in a way and given the relationship I’m not sure we would stick around in something that treated us this way. This shows you the unwavering love the body is to consistently pick itself up even though we put it down and at times try and wipe it out. Given our attitude to our bodies you can see the remark-ability of it. I loved your letter Dragana and know the bodies reply would not change from how it has been, steady in love, thank you.

  531. ‘I get given a wonder (you, the body) that does not belong to me, but whose particles belong to the Universe’ I feel a deep sadness when I connect to the truth of this and the arrogance with which I have continued to batter my body time and time again.

  532. Dear Dragana,

It is a bit hard to put into words how I felt reading your blog but I will try.

Thank your for writing on behalf of so many – reading through the comments many people felt the same – Apart from the pea in the breast, you were almost word for word for my story.

And what I loved most is that when you got to the encounter with Serge and how joyous your body was, my whole body was the same. My toes and feet could not stop wiggling – they were doing the happy dance in celebration of the words you wrote.

And tears came to my eyes when I can feel the love our bodies have for us, how precious they are and how badly we have treated them.

Thank you for writing this incredibly exquisite honest and beautiful ode to the body and Serge Benhayon. Love, Sarah

    1. wasn’t that hard Sarah 😉 You have put it very beautifully and eloquently – thankyou

  533. A powerful piece of writing Dragana and a humbling one too. There have been countless times in this life alone where my body has asked me to stop abusing it. When my body communicates a message one way and I don’t listen, it patiently finds another. I don’t listen to that way and it finds another and again until the point that either I listen or I am presented with an enormous wake up call through illness and disease. It’s time for me to start listening and honouring the truly loving language of my body.

  534. Dragana having just re read your letter to your body, what really stood out for me was how you have really stripped yourself bare to reveal the truth of your relationship with your body, (both in the past and in the present). Your relationship with your body has gone from one of neglect and abuse to one of great communication and honouring. This shift has the capacity to transform every facet of life.

  535. Dragana you have mixed honesty, wisdom, humour and poetry to write a letter to your body that makes the reader really consider their relationship with their own body.

  536. So beautiful, touching and true that our bodies are the beholders of the light of our Souls and how they are always impulsed by this eternal light to support us to remember who we are.

  537. Dragana,
Thank you, your letter gives rise to the many changes I have implemented in how I care for my body, it has also triggered a moment for me to feel how holding my body in tension is also very harming to the body. This offers to me a gift that allows for a steady refinement in how I hold my body and in how I choose to live in it. With the many changes I have made I feel even more clearly those that my body is now begging me to accept and adjust.

  538. Words of Truth spoken about the true preciousness of our body and the great wisdom and healing brought to us ALL by Serge Benhayon. Thank You Dragana.

  539. “You’d even look for ways to help me… make me purge the poison circulating your veins. Get that: I spewed poison into YOUR veins! What an audacity!” – and we then have pharmaceuticals that manage or counter the symptoms of the self inflicted poisioning. We really need to start changing our language to be more real and honest. A hangover for example is the result of poisioning the body with alcohol so let’s call it for what it is – it’s not a hangover, it’s alcohol poisioning.

    1. Ooh, now that you put it the right way Sandra (“it’s not a hangover, it’s alcohol poisoning”) it changes the game completely. We have deliberately moved the bar so the alcohol poisoning is when one has 8 beers, a bottle of wine and 1/2 bottle of scotch in one evening, but a glass of chilled white is not poisoning – we call that being ‘sophisticated’. A change in language is called for indeed. We should be having these conversations with our medics – imagine a patient walks in and says: I have a hangover and the Dr says, my diagnosis is you have alcohol poisoning! There is an ouch moment. Very different.

      1. It does Dragana…getting drunk is laughed about and celebrated even (pun intended here) but a more sobering (again :)) way to look at it is to say it is poisoning ourselves … what’s to laugh at? What’s to be celebrated? When did poisoning ourselves become a laughing matter?

  540. Whichever way you look at it – our body has got our back. It is our best friend always guiding us to be loving, gentle and in harmony – you can’t say fairer than that. Thank you for this glowing tribute you have written here Dragana, adding something quite brilliant to our body of written work.

  541. What a true all-encompassing love letter to your body Dragana… absolutely love it! The humbleness of knowing that it is not our bodies to do with what we please, and that the state of our particles are a reflection to all in the universe, is incredibly inspiring.

  542. A truly stunning article. You, Dragana, have brought through here alone enough for humanity to ponder on for many lifetimes, and if the lesson is heeded social issues such as healthcare, workplace wellbeing and so many others will be a very minute fraction of what they are currently. Thank you for Leading the Way

  543. I love the bit where you apologise. I love it because I know that that apology will be accepted in total grace and fullness by your body – and you will be utterly forgiven. That is how awesome our bodies are. I know that I would find it almost impossible to forgive someone doing to me what I have done to my body. Amazing.

    1. oops you must have missed it – it was very private – 101 and a ring… No ocean but the sun, the moon and the stars were there 😉

  544. You mention the gulf between us and our body, Dragana, and I can feel such sadness when I feel this. We have been given a very caring, sensitive and loving friend in our body but many of us have ignored this friendship and the support the body offers us. This letter is such an honouring of the body.

  545. How observing, exposing and expressive language can be, showing that the body communicates and we have actually once listened and taken the body´s words into our vocabulary.

  546. When I look back at the 65 years and all the things I have done(many of them in disregard of my body), I am amazed at how well my body is still working.
Thank you body for all that you have done. I will be taking much better care of you for the rest of my life.

  547. We often do not consider that our best friend is our body. It took me also to meet Serge Benhayon to realise that in fact I could have a relationship with my body and that the way my body was feeling actually was my body communicating with me. We are always with our body so why not create this deep relationship with it as it comes from the universe and thus has the wisdom of it. Thanks Dragana.

  548. We may wonder where true beauty and majesty come from and claim it to be in nature, the things we do or the way we look. But when a person speaks wisdom from their body, words cannot encapsulate the beauty that is felt. Thank you Dragana

  549. It really is quite atrocious the length of disregard, self abuse and harm we inflict on our bodies. At times I wonder how they still function to take another step. And on the flip side how quick is the healing and restoration process when we commit to self loving and supporting ourselves. Our bodies are amazing.

  550. Pure brilliance that only the Soul can deliver Dragana. Thank you. I absolutely love this letter and all it shares.

  551. We do as a race abuse and mistreat our bodies endlessly. This is currently normal and not even recognised as an issue, it is rather seen as something to keep doing, pushing our bodies to the nth degree with extreme sports/ thrills/spills/risks is seen as heroic. Time for change in this area.

  552. Wow Dragana what an amazing great, clear, open and honest and so powerfull piece of writting, sharing, expression. Stunning! I love to feel the clarity and power in your words. Than You. So inspiring! With love Nadine

  553. This was beautiful to read Dragana. Our bodies know everything about everything because it is a part of everything. Particles and energy doesn’t stay static so the belief that our particles stay with our body and never leave or interchange is a convenient perception to avoid feeling our affect on the world and also that the universe, the all that is bigger than we have chosen to focus on, is flowing in and through us.
I adore this blog and will no doubt re-read over and over.

  554. I have cried deeply Dragana at the truth expressed here, and for the abuse and chosen ignorance of my own universal particles, and knowing within me that this body was given to me “to serve a much greater purpose, and for that I had to keep you sacred and to keep you in stillness so that you and I could live and reflect the Divine on Earth”.

  555. Giving power, and voice, back to the particles that make our cells, tissues and the whole vehicle that takes us everywhere. Thank you Dragana, for so beautifully illustrating the humility and wonder that is the human body – in all its dimensions.

    1. It was gorgeously visual as I read about the particles. And this had an absolute feeling that no matter what we continue to choose from our mind and even harm our body with – our particles know all and are connected to the all forever bringing us back.

  556. Its quite revealing how the choices we make take so long to wear off, that we don’t consider what we are doing may be harming us, for instance drinking alcohol, what drives us to drink it again if we know it doesn’t agree with us?

    1. great question Harry – hence why I examined my own sanity – for no sane, intelligent person could feel foul, dislike how something feels in the body and then go and do it again. Crazy is an understatement

  557. Dragana, what an amazing beauty of writing, and not only words, but body lived experience (that is rich of honesty and self-love). And so we must obey our body, as equally Serge Benhayon has reflected by his own livingness and teachings. There is no such thing as rendering forth without contact to our body and Soul, as if we do we walk on empty trails. I have too walked around like the warrior of my own kind, thinking I could handle life, living in the arrogance and denial (illusion) that I had gone my way and I could do whatever I want.. But , up until that same day I met this other well taken care of body, that even ants would smell, I was shown that self-care must be admitted to further life in balance with the body.. And that the arrogance spirit inside me had a way too long hold and so had I caused much abuse and despair to my own self, my body.. So I came to know that Serge Benhayon once had done so the same, but had changed things around.. And so was I here, right there shown a precious body in front of my face, knowingly I could change too. And so I was inspired, so I did and continue my path now so.. Obey your body in the fullest and truest way.

  558. Glorious, thank you Dragana. Our body is truly the most patient ‘thing’, forever putting up with and putting away what we inflict upon it – until it can’t any longer.

  559. Wow, this is a powerful letter. If we all have conversations like this with our body, how much will we learn? How differently will we treat our body? This letter exposes how common it is that we frequently mistreat, discard and ignore our body. It is the key to discerning truth, yet I know many of us have looked high and low searching for truth, without realising our body is the vehicle to our connection to absolute truth.

  560. Love the eloquent way you have expressed your heart felt apology to your body which feels like it is on behalf of us all. I relate so much to the levels of anger and frustration from my arrogance at expecting my body to carry on regardless whatever abuse I heaped on it and had a wry smile at the analogy of the responsible driver – if we had to take a test before we were allowed loose with our bodies how many would be allowed to take their ‘L’ plates off?!

    1. haha – like it “if we had to take a test before we were allowed loose with our bodies how many would be allowed to take their ‘L’ plates off?!
I am seeing L plates in places where they are not 😉

  561. I love how you’ve written this Dragana – it’s very insightful into the attitude many of us have towards our bodies. It’s easy to say that we love ourselves as we drink a glass of champagne (that’s what I once would have said) but my body has and continues to speak very loudly when I don’t treat it with the preciousness it deserves.

  562. ‘Ever since then I have cried many tears when remembering all the harm I had inflicted upon you, and yet you never held any grudges. Not even as much as a raised eyebrow ;-)…’ We look for unconditional love everywhere around us, but do we ever consider finding it within?

  563. Glorious letter to your body Dragana. Thank you! I said it all to my body too, again! I too treated my beautiful, fine, healthy, strong divine-particled body like a rubbish tip and dumping ground of food, drugs, emotions, illusory beliefs and ideas, and much more. I too am in deepest wonder that my body did all it could to offset the poisoning and damage I did to it and repair itself while I carried on sabotaging it relentlessly, thinking only of my own pleasure and wantonness, not giving a stuff about the body and then cursing it for not standing up to it all – after getting drunk I would have to spend a day, yes a day in bed before I could get up. And then some weeks again later would do it all again. How I have reached the age of 68 with a still healthy body is beyond belief. A huge gift was given to me and the whole world by Serge Benhayon to assist in bringing my body and our bodies back. Incredible to have felt his healing hands revive us from the dead and teach us how to care for, love and respect our precious vehicles.

    1. how SO many of us reach ‘old’ age is a miracle indeed and the proof that this machine (body) has unfathomable endurance… I mean what other species on Earth can down copious amounts of coffee, alcohol, drugs, sugar, emotions, dramas….. and still be around?? I bet it would knock down an elephant in no time!

  564. Only this morning after reading something I reflected on the complete disregard I lived in particularly with my body and drinking alcohol. The U-turn for me as well was having sessions with an Esoteric Healing practitioner that when her hands where on my body I knew that she truly understood about energy and the body and after meeting Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine this no longer became a guessing game or ‘stumbling around in the dark’ but a known and a truth that all I need is within my body and the way back home was through my body and the love I had for it. It is still an ongoing learning but the love for and connection I now have in my body is so much more than it used to be and can be tangibly felt.

    1. the ‘stumbling around in the dark’ image reminded me how much that we do know where the switch for the light is – we just kept stumbling around feeling every other part of the room we know the switch is NOT there – avoiding the unavoidable aka the delay game…

  565. Our heavenly bodies are our soul’s vehicle and yet we treat our own cars with better care and support at times. What you have shared here Dragana is a letter that relates to us all, for we have a body that loves to communicate with us and yet sometimes we choose not to connect to what it shares so openly so.

  566. I too have overridden the absolute wisdom that my body consistently and lovingly gave, without an instance of holding back. It shows very clearly that our mind is no match for the wisdom and honesty of our body – no matter what we may think. Our body will never lie and never play tricks, which is much more that we can say about the quality of some of the thoughts in our mind.

    1. True Jennifer – the body cannot, in fact does not know how to lie, yet, there is a great big lier occupying the body. We need to teach this lying temporary tenant a lesson or two in Truth!

  567. Reblogged this on vivvybutler and commented:
Thankyou, Dragana, for the most beautiful and profound letter to your body which brought tears to my eyes and such a feeling of resonance of how I used to treat my body and how much I have grown to love it. I will always treasure your loving words that echo what we all feel.

  568. So beautiful to read here what is written about ‘The Body’, in this way Dragana. So often the body is treated as an object, an unfeeling, unresponsive object yet here we connect with the truth. Writing from this perspective opens us up to what is on offer – a gift from the universe and a wisdom older than the ages just waiting to be claimed – Thank you.

  569. “My dear body” – these three words contain already a lot for me. Have I considered my body as dear? Have I considered my body as my best friend? Have I treated my body in a way that I know it would love to be treated? Am I taking time to be with my body and listen to what it communicates to me? Have I appreciated my body for the patience, for it’s power and possibility to recover? Have I appreciated my body for the support it offers me in everything that I do / am to do? Am I willing to accept my choices and behaviours away from the body? And finally, do I appreciate myself for having come to a point where I am clear enough to ask these questions. These questions are not the solution, they are just a beginning, an offering of building a different relationship with my own body. Allowing tenderness to be part of me and part of the way I am with my body. And the beauty I feel now and become aware that my body instantly offers me the feel of tenderness back in a physical way. Wow, how interrelated are my choices and how I feel within my body.

  570. Another thing…..the title may be a “letter to my body” but this divine package says everything about OURS!

  571. “You knew the time had cometh when I’d clock that you were given to me to serve a much greater purpose, and for that I had to keep you sacred and to keep you in stillness so that you and I could live and reflect the Divine on Earth.”
A full bodied HIGH FIVE Dragana…..a letter graced with the inevitability of our equal return.

  572. What a beautiful honest and powerful message to your body for us all Dragana thank you for an amazing sharing. Covering so much depth, truth, and purpose and so relatable to us all . “Being shown the way of union of body and Soul – and the responsibility this sweet word commands.” Serge Benhayon is here for humanity to reflect and reignite the way.

  573. “There has been no other like you who has stuck with me through thick and thin, never to give up on me, yet ironically the very one I had used and abused like I would no other!’ By writing about the body in this way it is very clear you have broken through the consciousness that allows us to abuse our bodies and not think twice about it. There is such an irony that the body’s natural and infinite ability to heal itself is so abused and taken for granted, all whilst we rail at it and hate it for the signs it shows us about our choices! I am learning to really appreciate my body and to love it too and yet there are still times when I try to numb (and therefore abuse) it. Clocking this is so important as I am being shown how I am in resistance to the love my soul and it wants me to live.

  574. A brilliant perspective Dragana to really show in full all the ways in which we think we own and control our bodies with our minds, but how very far we are from understanding that the body is here to support and guide us. I love the way you have written it and it really hits home the extent to which we litter our bodies and expect a happy return. This makes me stop in my tracks and consider my next movement and what is truly loving of the body.

  575. I loved reading each line, in fact my body loved reading each line in full agreement with everything you have shared here. How humbling to stop and reflect on the fact I too would blame my body when it was my body that was loving me.

  576. Our body has always spoken to us and always will. We will always have the chance to listen or to ignore. No matter what age, no matter how low we might go, our body always offers that chance to listen and ultimately choose love first.

  577. A powerful delivery, a powerful message, a powerful reminder that our bodies hold all of the wisdom of the Universe, they are our vehicle back to Soul. Our job is to deeply honour our body, surrender and let it guide us with its innate intelligence.

  578. This is a stop and pay attention blog. A letter I know I could easily have written myself. Very sobering, and it makes me ask the question, ‘why are we so irresponsible with this amazing body made up of particles that belong to the Universe?’

  579. Serge Benahyon did and does help me and so many others to understand my body language. He does not by telling me what my body saying, but by supporting me in becoming aware again.
To truly learn a language the best is to go into the country and talk it with people who are natural speakers. To find a natural speaker of love (that is what the body speaks) these days is not that easy…or it is, when you are willing to learn it. I was willing and the Teacher did find me. Others who are willing to learn the body-language again, the language of love, found me in the shop I work in or wherever, to reconnect again. Who truly seeks is guided by love, because it is love they chose already.

  580. Dragana, this is simply gorgeous and so deeply honouring of your body with the truths you have revealed.

  581. Whether it is alcohol food or emotions we all seem to know how to abuse our bodies. I love your letter to your body Dragana, it has inspired me to write my own and all the times I ignored all it’s messages both small and large asking me to be more loving and caring with myself and ultimately others.

  582. This is very exposing of how we, as a society and humanity, treat the body as some sort of slave to our unloving and abusive choices and then blame it for our woes when it needs to clear the poison we have lived. There is a real call here to take responsibility for our actions and know that our bodies are on OUR sides, and not working against us. It is us who work against the body.

  583. The seeming only way to drown out the messages our body gives us when we disregard ourselves and make self-abusive choices is to create a ‘gulf’ between it and us, but even this is powerless and little use as we cannot avoid the voice of something we are with every moment of every day. We can choose to ignore this voice, but never avoid it.

    1. no gulf is big enough, deep enough, long enough to drown the voice that cannot be drowned…

  584. Dragana, this is beautiful, ‘I get given a wonder (you, the body) that does not belong to me, but whose particles belong to the Universe, to love, to cherish and to behold’. Reading this I can feel how abusive I have been to my body and how I have not treated my body with the love and care that it deserves and that it is asking for. No wonder there is so much illness and disease when we treat our bodies in an abusive way.

  585. I wish we had a ‘love’ button for this article – it speaks volumes – for all of us who have disregarded our bodies in similar ways – thank you Dragana, I have tears in my eyes as I recognise the truth you are presenting and the way forward – tenderness, nourishment and love is how we need to treat our bodies, to listen to their smallest messages, to be constantly in union, and not dumping so much junk inside so that they are constantly clearing up the trash and the self abuse with which we live.

  586. I love the way this is written as it really brings home the abuse we put our bodies through by not listening to the communication it constantly offers us.

    1. I agree, Julie, it’s a really cool perspective – and a healing for Dragana no doubt. It would be an awesome exercise for us to all write a ‘Dear Body’ letter.

  587. Ah yes, Dragana, I can totally resonate with all that you say here about meeting Serge Benhayon – an ordinary, humble, family man and worldwide presenter of the Ancient Wisdom Teachings who constantly emanates and reflectsGod back to us as our natural and true way of living. Everything changed in the instant of meeting Serge – there was no longer any need to continue the long-term and fruitless search for a ‘missing piece’ externally to myself.
“You sensed that everything about your treatment was about to change to how you and the stars had always known it to be. You found that One human body that reflected God back to me so that I would know You (my body) is NOT mine to own.

  588. It’s super-interesting how we rail against our bodies when they ‘let us down’. I know I have had the arrogance to feel ‘betrayed’ by my body when I’ve been ill but it’s me who has created the situation by my choices, by my own hand. Is it too extreme to say we should all go down on charges of grievous bodily harm?

  589. What is presented here is so, so true. We owe our bodies so much gratitude. Would we dare to put another human being through what we put our own selves through? Not likely. We are master self-abusers and our bodies tolerate us for a long, long time before they have to let us know that we have to stop.

  590. Dragana, this is an epistle for humanity that calls us to responsibility and livingness that unites body with soul as is divinely planned. Deep gratitude for this reflection.

  591. What a beautiful reminder to realise the truth that the body holds – it is made up of particles from head to toe and these particles belong to the universe. This sentence exposes just how blind, arrogant and loveless my / our behaviour and choices are that blatantly override and ignore the profound and natural, universal wisdom of the body particles to support its own true wellbeing.
“I get given a wonder (you, the body) that does not belong to me, but whose particles belong to the Universe, to love, to cherish and to behold and what do I do with it? I abuse it. Let’s call it for what it truly is – An ultimate in Arrogance”.

  592. You write for us all Dragana. An honest tender loving letter to yourself and all of us. We are blessed to receive it.

  593. Wow, Dragana I love the style of your writing here. The format makes me stop and deeply consider all my choices and how I treat and have entreated my body like no other. Thanks for bringing the message home in such a beautiful way!

  594. Our body belongs to us all, not just ourselves. A powerful message Dragana. When we, in arrogance, disregard and abuse it we are in effect abusing all every body and when we love it in the most precious of ways, this is what we share with others.

  595. It is so easy to blame the body when it shows signs and symptoms of illness, disease and disharmony. A rather large ‘ouch moment’ when we finally stop and realise the fact that, it has been our irresponsible way of living and continuing to make ill-choices to be functioning rather than living harmoniously, that are the true cause of the illness or disease.

  596. Thank you for sharing your body-journey Dragana. “I get given a wonder (you, the body) that does not belong to me, but whose particles belong to the Universe, to love, to cherish and to behold…..” Yet we so often treat our bodies with such disdain. When we start to love and care for them they feel very different – and so do we.

  597. What an awesome blog Dragana, loved it. What you share is so spot on, how we may abuse our body and yet our Soul patiently keeps giving us chances to heal the body, by all the messages we get given. It is our stubborness that does not listen and keeps going on the path of abuse. Like you I am so glad I met Serge Benhayon as my life has changed as has my body. His reflection of love and truth is all I need to turn my life around.

  598. Thank you Dragana for these loving words dedicated to our precious bodies. An inspiration for our education system. A letter to our own body and the communication with our body on a regular basis would bring a whole lot awareness to how we treat and how to treat our bodies.

  599. Thank you Dragana and yes my body too instantly fell in love with the vibration that Serge Benhayon’s body radiates. It was an instant body knowing, a moment when my body could push aside everything I had imposed upon it and declare loud and clear that this was IT, what this man was saying, doing and feeling is what IT is all about – Immense Love. And now so many people, you and me included are learning to treat our bodies like “a little water in the palm of the hand in a desert”, constantly refining a truly loving relationship that empowers our bodies to glow with radiant health and to amplify the vibrational message of Love that Serge Benhayon perpetually, consistently broadcasts to the benefit of all of us without exception.

  600. These words are awesome in their simplicity and truth “We are All part of the Universe, hence the Universe is part of us too.” I can feel I am part of the universe as do my particles. My body is and does feel and correspond with the universe.Bigger picture, we are all part of the whole.

  601. This is so true Dragana, how we abuse the body but it stays with us, continuing to look after us as best it can, while we continue to put harmful substances into the fuel tank. We are given the freedom to make those choices, it is great to see this so clearly and observe the difference of how the body feels when we look after ourselves more. It jumps for joy.

  602. Beautiful Dragana. “you were given to me to serve a much greater purpose, and for that I had to keep you sacred and to keep you in stillness so that you and I could live and reflect the Divine on Earth.” It is our responsibility to care for the particles of our physical body to reflect the unbounded love of the Universe.

  603. You write for us all here in your letter to your body Dragana. I consistenly abused and neglected my body and chose to check out for many years. The turning point that brought me back was meeting Serge Benhayon, just as you have described here. I feel blessed and thank my body for taking me to Somerset and to the first 10 days I spent there participating in the courses by Serge. Those 10 days changed my life.

  604. Music to the ears, tears of joy, nods of wisdom… all of this in reading this glorious blog from my body to yours.

  605. Ahh, to feel the sweet love in your words Dragana and the precious regard you hold your body in today is very inspiring. A very different approach to look at your body and not only consider it but actually listening to it.
