As I have been connecting with greater depth and awareness to my body, I can feel the shifts and the changes – the delicate and powerful way that each moment impacts upon the next. This has been an ongoing relationship for me since my mid-forties and one that has been forever unfolding.
As human beings dwelling on this planet it does not seem to be unusual that we hit a point in our lives where everything comes to a stop – more often than not it is not a natural stop but more of a grinding halt where the body speaks loud and clear and we become aware of the abusive way we have been living and how long we have been ignoring the amazing blessing that our body is. Quite often it is a point where mentally we no longer feel able to cope with life.
I feel more and more that the way I treated my body was not supportive or loving to the point of abuse – I had regular migraines and was quite often constipated and this was more apparent at weekends or on holiday when I stopped the drive of daily life and when there was space for my body to make itself heard and when I took time to listen to my body. As I allowed my body to speak with greater clarity, I also realised that I was not the only one and in truth there were many like me. We seem to have an ‘ideal’ or ‘belief’ that no matter what, we must keep going – that to stop would be unthinkable as that might possibly offer us a moment of connection whereby we might feel a sense of the deep disregard.
What is it about us that we allow this continual and ongoing abuse – without which our soul would have greater freedom to access our body, whereby our body could surrender to a natural rhythm?
So if I was no different from many others, why did I not accept life the way it was – the ‘normal’ that seemed to be the way everyone lived in varying degrees? I felt this ‘something’ deep within that told me there was another way and at this point I wasn’t sure what. It was a murmuring as though I had a deep voice within that was offering me the truth, even when I wasn’t ready to hear it.
Gradually over the years this has all changed as I have unsubscribed from the patterns and behaviours that had been driving me and allowed my body to find its own way through the miasma of ideals and beliefs that seem to be threaded throughout our lives and are the hindrance to our natural way of being, and I feel this is a forever unfolding as I continue to evolve.
As I have refined and redefined my relationship with my body, I have expanded my understanding of myself – and more latterly of the Universe. I no longer feel separate from the Universe – it feels as though there is a constant conversation not only between my body and me but one that takes place and is ongoing between each of us and a greater wisdom as we learn and understand more and more that we are part of something magnificent, and yet at the same time a reality that reveals itself the deeper we connect.
Are we alone with these feelings or is there something greater and grander at work and far beyond our human imagination – and are we a part of this? Is there something calling us all back home? I have felt a connection to the Divine in varying degrees for all of my life, but now as I delve into my innermost I am beginning to understand that we are not alone on this planet but are an integral part of a relationship between our bodies (the microcosm) and the splendour that is forever reflected back to us by the Universe (the macrocosm). We are indeed an indelible part of the Magic of God – all those everyday occurrences that at times we discount until a moment comes where we no longer are able to doubt the true power that is passing through us all of the time and we can feel God calling us to return once more to who we truly are.
Through the teachings of the Ageless Wisdom as presented by Serge Benhayon, I have come to understand that each tiny movement has an impact on the whole that is our forever expanding Universe. This may seem astounding to some, but this has been my experience – that the more I opened up to this feeling, the more it made sense. I could feel how if I went into a room and was insensitive to my surroundings in the way I moved that there would be a ripple effect on others: somehow we all know deep down that our natural way is one of stillness and steadiness and yet we often feel pulled out by the drive and motivation that feeds a way of living that is both inharmonious and not living in unison with the world around us.
When we move with ourselves in harmony we can feel that this offers others a space to move likewise – they open up to the quality we have offered – or sometimes not. These moments of stillness can be quite unnerving to someone who is used to living in constant drive and without any moments to re-connect back to the natural rhythm of the body within.
The connection and relationship with my body has been enormously supported by having sessions with Esoteric Practitioners, who have each offered a different angle and approach to support me to change the old momentum that has been in my body for a very long time. I have always been offered a depth of honesty and love that until this point I had not knowingly experienced. Through building and surrendering to an innate sensitivity and deepening this relationship with my vehicle of expression I feel I am approaching the gateway to the soul – to be able to expand this relationship beyond my body and to connect to the sacredness within that we all hold in our essence.
I feel as though I am only touching the tip of the iceberg as I explore my understanding of myself and the Universe, and I am aware that having taken the first few tentative steps in this exploration that I no longer have the option to reverse this process – that the Laws of the Universe that govern our movements will unfold and expand as I become a participant whereby I become an equal partner – no more and no less – of the magnificent plan that is our undeniable future.
Surrendering my body to this inspiring and intimate relationship between it and the Universe allows me to feel the support and the continuous offering of evolution from the pulse that is calling us to return to a way of living that is indicative of the harmonious space that is always waiting for our return.

How to listen to your body
Choosing to surrender our bodies to an ever deepening relationship with the universe offers a glorious expansion if we are willing to go there.
Having just started a new job and finding myself going through periods of going into anxiousness about keeping on top of the workload and sorting things out quickly I can feel how easy and normal it is for most of us to not experience the expansion that we actually are because we are in an almost permanent state of contraction. When you consider that emotions are also a form of contraction and how emotional most of us are, it easy to see why we are so oblivious to the deeper aspects of life. We choose to live in a way that keeps our bodies in contraction which is the very thing that limits our understanding and experience of life down to a thimble full of what amounts to false information.
Yes and a glorious sense of how unified we naturally are.
Has anyone had a random thought just pop into their heads as if from nowhere and then wonder where did that come from? The thing is we think that our thoughts are our own and no one has access to them but in reality, we all have access to everything because we are connected energetically. So, knowing this brings in a greater responsibility to what thoughts we entertain and what thoughts we say no to.
We are a bit like a radio where we chose the channel we wish to listen too? Or, listen to the music that always plays within.
Great analogy Steve.
That is a great analogy Steve and also so very true. Simply put that is how it exactly is. This completely takes away us having ownership of our thoughts, which of course is not a get out clause but definitely exposes so called intelligence.
Can you hum! a few bars of that Steve? Ha! Ha! Jokes aside. As sometimes we get interruptions or static and reinterpretations as we get closer to the true vibration that “plays within,” and the longer we connect to that “music” the greater the awareness becomes so we can deepen with less distractions.
So many people feel at the mercy of their thoughts but the truth is we are actually setting ourselves up to receive the thoughts that we do. And how we set our thoughts up is through our movements. Someone who is knelt on the pavement with their forehead on the ground asking for money will find it almost impossible to have thoughts that are full of self worth and positivity. Similarly someone who lives life with an elongated spine, relaxed muscles and an open chest will most likely not be plagued with self doubt and negative thoughts. How revelatory will this fact be when introduced into psychiatry, mental health, psychology and also just our everyday living way.
When I connect to the fact that I’m not an isolated piece in the whole I live in, I can’t but feel the humbleness of being part of the Universe grandness, which holds me in equal harmony with others.
“I have always been offered a depth of honesty and love that until this point I had not knowingly experienced.” It is quite an experience to be held without judgment or any attempt to fix an issue on my behalf, but instead be shown how to access my own power and abilities to do for myself. True healing is always about empowering us to heal our selves.
I relish the day when my body will be completely absorbed back into the ether.
The day that I am at home with God once more.
Being an equal partner with the universe, now this is grandeur beyond belief. It makes a nonsense of self doubt and lack of self worth.
From as long as I can remember there was something that did not quite make sense about life and all the different approaches that I tried that appeared to offer the answers but they always fell short. However, with the Way of The Livingness as presented by Serge Benhayon that feeling is no longer there and as you say Sue,
“Gradually over the years this has all changed as I have unsubscribed from the patterns and behaviours that had been driving me and allowed my body to find its own way through the miasma of ideals and beliefs that seem to be threaded throughout our lives and are the hindrance to our natural way of being, and I feel this is a forever unfolding as I continue to evolve.”
‘…allowed my body to find its own way through the miasma of ideals and beliefs that seem to be threaded throughout our lives and are the hindrance to our natural way of being, and I feel this is a forever unfolding as I continue to evolve.’ this is something which has been coming up for me in the last week. It’s so clear that ideals and beliefs drive our expectations of other and situation which we then project outward. Great to surrender and let them go as we become aware of them.
There is no doubt that there is quite the difference when I am moving with my day (read with the Universe) as opposed to trying to rule it or fight against it. The quality that is available both to me and those around me is quite different, the connection and the magic in particular when we come together for a conversation or to do something together.
When we choose to see ourselves as ‘individuals’ we are in illusion. When we open to a deeper connection within and the beautiful reflection this brings, the sacredness of all that is makes itself known. We are so much more.
‘We seem to have an ‘ideal’ or ‘belief’ that no matter what, we must keep going – that to stop would be unthinkable as that might possibly offer us a moment of connection whereby we might feel a sense of the deep disregard.’ this is a great reminder and an important one at that as we can prevent the build up a chain of ill choices if we but stop and check in with how we feel.
“I have always been offered a depth of honesty and love that until this point I had not knowingly experienced.” Realising this has been transformational for me as it has changed my approach to life from striving to achieve to receiving to sharing.
“We are indeed an indelible part of the Magic of God”. When we align to this truth, the Magic of God returns to daily life in the most beautiful ways, lifting our sights from the limitations of human life and putting us back in touch with this multi-dimensional conversation going on all around us.
We are both the big picture and the little picture at the same time. We are the grandness of the Universe in human form. Our mistake has been to see ourselves as mere humans, only capable of restricted human movements. Once we tap into the fact that we are vessels through which God can pour then we will remember that we are capable of making many of the same movements as God.
‘…way I treated my body was not supportive or loving to the point of abuse – I had regular migraines and was quite often constipated…’ it makes so much sense when we see after the event the links between our behaviour, thoughts and actions and the state of our body.
There’s a tipping point as we start to connect more, our body ceases to be a repository of discomfort and pain and starts to feel yummy once again. It’s here we can finally feel clearly we are something precious to behold and so deserve to be treated with absolute care and deeply nurtured.
So often these days we assume getting ill is an inevitable part of growing older, but as you are clearly demonstrating Susan, getting older can still be a very vital, joyful and grace filled experience.
Expansive and inspiring to read, it has the grandness and space of the universe in everyday life experiences which is exactly how it can be if we make energy our normal and do not discount how our bodies feel.
“I feel as though I am only touching the tip of the iceberg as I explore my understanding of myself and the Universe” Its one of things when I feel even if we where to just access the minute bit of the universe the effects are absolutely life changing.
Once you reawaken your energetic awareness you do realise that every moment matters and there is no such thing as a ‘neutral’ moment. Every moment and every movement is from either love or something else.
Love that Andrew – yes we are always choosing one or the other, no such thing as sitting on the fence in ‘idle’.
Recently I have been in awe and amazement of the functioning of every cell, organ and tissue that makes up the body. I have also become more aware of the ignorance and arrogance in how I have and still abuse the body. The body is precious and when I treat it with the preciousness it is I get to feel the expansion within my body and the confirmation of my part in the whole of the universe.
Amazing to have a growing awareness of the universe through your relationship with your body Susan and to feel how this is part of an gradual return.
And because we are a microcosm of this immense Universe, all the answers to our woes lie within us.
‘Within us’ is also ‘outside of us’, the truth of everything is space. Space is all around us and all through us. Space is the living body of God and is the opposite of empty. What tricks us is seeing lines and delineations everywhere when in truth we live in a borderless universe.
Every micro is represented on the macro.
Thank you Susan for writing about the relationship between each of us and the universe – it is more and more in my day as I listen to my body and feel/hear the murmur of our always connection to God.
“I have come to understand that each tiny movement has an impact on the whole that is our forever expanding Universe.” It is an awesome lesson to be made aware of the fact that every movement makes a ripple that spreads out through the space we live in. Just like ripples on the water, the waves made from our movements touch everything in their path as they expand outwards, soaking all with the intent of the movement, leaving a lasting impression that either heals or harms.
Beautiful Susan, are you talking about religion and how simple it is i.e. having a relationship with your body and thus the universe. This is a valid statement “more often than not it is not a natural stop but more of a grinding halt where the body speaks loud and clear and we become aware of the abusive way we have been living and how long we have been ignoring the amazing blessing that our body is”.
“I feel as though I am only touching the tip of the iceberg as I explore my understanding of myself and the Universe” So true there is so much more of us to discover, as there is about the Universe we live and all its qualities that flow through us everyday. This is just the beginning of whole new era of discovery about who we are and the world we are really living in.
The funny thing is we’re having to re-discover who we are because we are already who we are, it’s just that we’ve forgotten.
Yes for me too it has definitely been more of a reawakening of something I already know rather than learning anything new.
As the qualities of the universe flow through us every day we don’t have to go far to explore it – a gorgeous revelation!
What if we are living bodies of the Universe – we live such smallness and yet our bodies hold such vastness. We have to question any status quo that enables us all to be this way.
Susan mentioned delicacy and power in the same sentence and this I love… the detail and the vastness, the tenderness and strength. Is it that we categorise qualities and judge some as more worthy than others and thereby interfere and separate that which is one?
We work very hard at being tiny because if we didn’t apply ourselves constantly to our own reduction we would know ourselves to be the expansion that we are.
There’s no such thing as ‘status quo’ in the Universe and so if we have it in our lives it’s a red flag that something isn’t as it should be.
‘I no longer feel separate from the Universe – it feels as though there is a constant conversation not only between my body and me but one that takes place and is ongoing between each of us and a greater wisdom as we learn and understand more and more that we are part of something magnificent, and yet at the same time a reality that reveals itself the deeper we connect.’ This is grandness that I can really feel.
It is so normal to continue to push the body beyond its limits. I have to constantly remind myself to stop, constantly remind myself to be present and focus on what I’m doing rather than thinking about the 101 other things on my plate. It is such an ingrained behaviour that it takes commitment to put a stop to it forever. However, with small steps and determination I know that one day that I will stop this and live a life with a stronger connection.
We know from science that our particles are comprised of particles from the Universe and from each other, so we cannot but be universal.
When we look at the delicate and intrinsic detail of a functioning body and how it all works together to support health… I find an absolute wonder and magic of it that, for me, can only equate to the wonder and magic of universal order.
I agree, Rachel. I experience lots of awe and wonder and more recently much curiosity to explore deeper the magic of our physiology and its relationship with the Universe.
“When we move with ourselves in harmony we can feel that this offers others a space to move likewise” This is a beautiful reminder of how we leave ripples wherever we go and how their quality can either be super silky and gorgeous to feel, or quite abrasive depending on the quality of intention behind them.
Illusion depends on us subscribing to the lie of walls, separation and boundaries. Everything is everything and so can’t help but illustrate truth. Thinking things are isolated is a convenient belief that lets us pretend we are alone and free to do what we like.
Sometimes the only thing that makes us stop is something going seriously wrong with the body.
Interesting it was only when something went ‘seriously wrong’ with my body that my life started to go seriously right. Prior to that my body had felt like it was doing really well, in that I felt very zingy and athletic. I also felt like I was doing really well because I was able to con myself on every front that I had things sorted (relationships, work, fitness, diet etc) but then when my body came to a grinding halt all of my pictures about how my life was started to be ripped down much like illegal posters on a billboard. So then, with the support of Universal Medicine and all that they offer I was able to pretty much look at every aspect of my life (over time) from a place of honesty and start to slowly rebuild things. And that rebuilding continues but with a very different type of energy, a fiery energy rather than a charlatan form of energy known as prana.
Alexis, I too had a stop moment were I literally had to stop and like you, it was the support of Universal Medicine and all that was on offer that I was able to appreciate the offering of the stop moment and to start work on reevaluating every aspect of my life up to that point of stop and admit to myself, that the only person I was fooling was myself.
“Are we alone with these feelings or is there something greater and grander at work and far beyond our human imagination – and are we a part of this?” I would say ‘yes we are’ and the more we learn how to connect to our bodies and surrender to the wisdom within, the more we will know the greater and grander work we most definitely a part of.
Responsibility is something we can run from, and one of the easiest ways to do that is to talk in a way that suits the world, but not what is representative of the stillness within us.
I really enjoyed reading this Susan, it’s one of those blogs where you can feel your body responding in confirmation.
I agree Julie. My body really enjoyed this article.
Very powerful and calling on each of us to take responsibility in each moment of our lives ‘….– that the Laws of the Universe that govern our movements will unfold and expand as I become a participant whereby I become an equal partner – no more and no less – of the magnificent plan that is our undeniable future.
Our bodies are there forever prodding and calling us back to the natural rhythm we are and so calling us home to us … do we allow ourselves the space to feel that?
Good question Monica, every choice is either going to allow us this space and support us or reduce it and keep us from feeling what we are being called back to so we therefore have the opportunity in every moment to make this choice.
Our bodies are contained within the body of God but we live in such a way that makes us consciously unaware of this fact. Life is about returning to the lived understanding that God and us are one and the same, we are the one united unit, it’s just that somewhere along the line a part of us decided to go it alone not ever acknowledging that it’s not possible to ever break away from God because God is who we are.
The absolute form of responsbility, living in awarenss of the effects of everything we say, do and thing on everything universally.
The more I appreciate the multi-dimensional relationships that take place within my body on a physiological and anatomical level, the more I have to say yes to the title question of this blog. What takes place within my body everyday with very little conscious direction is a micro version of the immense intelligence of the multi-dimensional Universe we live in. Our next evolutionary step is to fully appreciate how our every move contributes to the quality of both the inner and outer conversations that we are only just beginning to wake up.
We see ourselves as small and insignificant and ignore the fact that we are all an essential part of the whole.
True, and in the ignoring how much do we dismiss and like to believe we are lesser when it is not simply our divine right to claim our equality but to simply know that we are?
“As I have refined and redefined my relationship with my body, I have expanded my understanding of myself …” and our discoveries take us to new frontiers within ourselves, ones that we had no idea existed in the days when we ignored our body and side stepped really getting to know who we really are.
I will clearly need to come back to this blog and read it again and again as today I read it and felt like I had never read it before. You offer space to contemplate, and that space feels like the grace of God we are all a part of but have forgotten to honour and therefore remember.
We are universal.
Indeed we are and yet we see ourselves as individual matchstick men and women going about our days in absolute isolation. Our perception of life couldn’t actually be further from the truth.
The teaching of the Ageless Wisdom as presented by Serge Benhayon and with the support of treatments of the Esoteric Healing Modalities they are a marvellous way to build harmony with and within one’s body which brings a great sense of settlement and connection as you describe so lovingly and eloquently Sue. Thank you.
Susan, I love this and am feeling this more and more; ‘we all know deep down that our natural way is one of stillness and steadiness’.
Sharing how I live with a stranger today, she was so inspired by what I had to share simply because she knew to the bone that our natural way is stillness.
I like this idea of unsubscribing from patterns, beliefs and ideas that do not support us. It certainly has been very liberating for me to do this and has made a big difference in my health and wellbeing. And it is an ongoing process like you mention in this blog for sure.
‘…as I have unsubscribed from the patterns and behaviours that had been driving me …’ I just love the phrase of unsubscribe because that’s exactly it. I’m choosing to have these behaviours in my life and I can unsubscribe at any point.
My body couldn’t wait for a convenient space to tell me how it felt, I treated it so poorly that it make regular protests throughout the month, including in the most awful period pains, head splitting migraines and raging sinusitis on a regular basis. Roll on 12 years of Universal Medicine and these conditions are but a distant memory. There is no finer medicine than paying close attention to the wisdom in our bodies and following its instruction. True health is not a lottery it’s a full time responsibility.
‘True health is not a lottery it’s a full time responsibility.’ Absolutely. A responsibility in the daily, hourly and moment by moment choices that we are forever making..
We have come to a place in our world that we think we can undo everything we have done, video games and just our unwillingness to take responsibility have fed this belief. What is clear from your blog is that everything matters because it has a ripple effect on other things so, whilst we can recognise and undo some of the things we do, others are indelibly changed. Simply bringing an awareness to the impact of the way we move can be enough to have a ripple effect that is harm-less which, until we can feel the difference, is a great start.
The more I embrace my ancient and immutable connection with the Universe, the more I can feel how much there is to unravel within me that has kept me enslaved to a reductionist view of the world and myself. What an immense gift it is to have the opportunity to study with Serge Benhayon, to have such a consistent reflection of our true way of living so that we are able to recognize and release these ideals that have entrapped us for eons and open up to the magic of this immense Universe we live in.
So true Rowena, and so well expressed. It is glorious to liberate oneself from the traps that we have chosen to hold us back from the immenseness we are.
“What is it about us that we allow this continual and ongoing abuse – without which our soul would have greater freedom to access our body” Susan this is the question of the ages!
It really is in self love and the surrendering to the absolutely loveliness we are, that we are able to give up abusive behaviours. When we know we are love we can not be less than that.
“We seem to have an ‘ideal’ or ‘belief’ that no matter what, we must keep going – that to stop would be unthinkable.” Yet to stop allows us to feel what we have created for ourselves.
Really appreciate this comment. Today I took a moment to stop and have been doing this more so, so I can feel where I’m at and what I’ve created. But there’s been a little bit of needing to justify stepping off the conveyor belt of keeping going when actually I can appreciate the value of doing so.
Having ideals and beliefs is like being a passenger in a car travelling at speed if we look sideways the world is a blur, and we have little or no control over where we are going.
The beauty of being fully present in the space we are in at any given time is a feeling of ‘at homemess’ that offers us the grace to allow our body to let go of the tension that life on the run constantly builds.
Yes, and ‘at homeness’ is a geat expression to describe the ease in our bodies that comes from being fully present.
“As I have refined and redefined my relationship with my body, I have expanded my understanding of myself – and more latterly of the Universe.” When we build a relationship with our body instead of our mind, a whole new world opens up, and the vastness and splendour of the Universe is revealed to us. Thank you for sharing Susan
Understanding how all the different parts of our body function independently yet at the same time are dependent upon each other for the body to function as a whole is a great reflection of how we are all interconnected and part of a much grander ‘whole’, the Universe and all that is within it.
In a world where one of the most commonly held beliefs is that “we must keep going”, no matter what, often at the expense of ourselves and our close relationships, it is no wonder that we have a world-wide plague of exhaustion. And from this plague, many businesses have mushroomed, offering instant fixes to people’s exhaustion, often in the forms of ‘special’ drinks to pep them up and keep them going, when in fact, what their bodies are wanting them to do is stop, and soon.
Yes and that is what I love about this blog, it is sharing that the movements of our bodies must change but actually it is an awareness of the energy we move in and with that has the biggest impact on how we and others feel. When you start to feel the energy in your body in different situations you start to be aware of where there is a drain.
We are so focused on our bodies, to the point of fixation and yet our bodies are part of the grande illusion of life and about as real as a mirage.
Yes Alexis! Yet simply change the focus around our bodies and we have the keys to break through the mirage. The alternative focus is one very big distraction, isn’t it?
The more we explore our interior, the more we recognize that the wisdom of the Universe and all its wonders are contained within every cell in our body. We are walking miracles living within an immensely vast miracle we call Space.
I love the way you have gone past and beyond our little selves and made the connection, if not deep embedding of our place within the All that we unavoidably are always part of, whether acknowledged as such or not. The universe is always the ever-expanding All, regardless of our shenanigans.
We don’t want to know that we as individuals affect the whole, and that includes the universe.
As a teenager I used to ponder on the thought that we were like bacteria living within the body of God, as do the trillions of microorganisms that live within ours.
It is interesting isn’t it that we seem to feel more sick or unwell when we are on holidays or on the weekend when we actually stop and get to feel how our bodies are really feeling and how we have been living up till that point in time and we are perhaps not so distracted with the busyness of life.
‘I could feel how if I went into a room and was insensitive to my surroundings in the way I moved that there would be a ripple effect on others:’ we all know what it is like to be in a pool of water and to feel the movement and ripple effect of another… moving on land is much the same only the feeling is much subtler, but it is still there.
Very true Rachel and the experience of the ripple effect in water is a very practical way of appreciating the fact of the unseen ripple on land and thereby a ripple to explore more of our unseen world.
To take stock of the enormity of this and how we actually impact each other in every moment, is massive. Every move we make will create a ripple effect for someone else to feel. It makes sense to be aware of, as we are impacted in ways we haven’t yet become conscious of.
Oh how the World would be/will be different when this is commonly appreciated and lived.
Yes and considering how we move in water is a great image to consider when we consider our impact.
Another way to consider our impact through water was from ‘Dr Masaru Emoto’s Water Experiment’. His central premise put forward that human beings can affect the shape and molecular structure of water just through conscious intention. By being happy, or being truthful, for example, the water molecule when frozen made beautiful patterns; when insults were made the frozen molecule was distorted and ugly. The image to me looked cancerous. If we are made up of 60% water in our physical bodies then if this experiment is accurate, we must be affected by our thoughts, words and actions on each other.
Absolutely, it is a science it seems we are obstinate about not understanding. However each person has a ripple effect on the whole so perhaps if we walk, talk, think and move with this awareness our ripple effect with change the ‘norm’.
A gorgeous piece of writing Susan with which words are expressed and written effortlessly. The pull to live in drive and nervousness energy is only a battle if we make it so; know and claim what is true for us, the quality of stillness and then we hold ourselves in love no matter what.
The consciousness of motion, the constant need to keep ourselves busy is a big one however even though it is championed in society to be seen to be getting things done the energy with which every movement including the tiniest is made does not serve the whole for in truth it clearly exposes the individual and its need for self.
The consciousness is definitely huge and one I know so well. And even though I have come to a place where I do not keep myself going all the time, every now and then I can feel myself slipping back into this damaging way of living. I used to live totally oblivious to the fact that being in constant motion was not normal, but these days this is one popularly accepted normal that has no place in my life.
“We are indeed an indelible part of the Magic of God . . . ” Thank you Susan for reminding us that we are so much more that we think we are!
Susan I agree, our bodies are indeed ‘an amazing blessing’, I mean how blessed can you be when our bodies have literally been spun out of the same thread as God! Which then makes it really easy to see how and why so many of us have struggled with ‘finding God’ because we have had such difficult and often turbulent relationships with our bodies and therefore difficult and turbulent relationships with God. It’s easy for the forces to keep the masses away from God, they simply focus on corrupting our relationship with our bodies. Job done. But job only ever temporarily done because the people and God are one and the same and it’s only a matter of time before we all remember this undeniable fact.
Beautifully put Alexis, “I mean how blessed can you be when our bodies have literally been spun out of the same thread as God!” And so we are one and the same, an immutable truth that we are inching towards embracing in full, despite the forces and their desperate tricks that attempt to keep us from knowing, feeling and living this truth to the max.
Great Susan, the teachings of Serge Benhayon have awakened many of us to the interconnectedness of us all and our relationship with the universe.
“We seem to have an ‘ideal’ or ‘belief’ that no matter what, we must keep going – that to stop would be unthinkable…” How true this is, I see it in myself and in people round me, we are like machines that don’t stop and if we are forced to we often don’t actually rest, but are still busy with phones or other screens, or thinking at 100 miles an hour with a body that is racing and still feels like it’s moving.
Just as the cells are the microcosm of the body that is the macrocosm, so too is the body a microcosm of the world we live in and the universe that is the macrocosm. This goes to show how everything is related and there is no escaping what we do to one as it will and does affect the other.
This feeling of being part of everything that includes everything and is one, feels to have been here forever, and it’s just that there’s more clocking lately of how much I have been fighting against this fact by not accepting, or feeling deserving of divinity as something that I do know intimately, and really, any sense of ‘putting it right’ stops making sense to me, as I grow to surrender more to the Order that governs the whole.
Significant fact that when I stop trying to second guess myself or justifying myself, I often have a strong sense of what is true and what is not, a sense of a connection to a greater whole, an awareness that what goes on around me has an impact on me and vice versa everything about me, my thoughts and my choices affects everyone and everything else. What is of note here, that such awareness is not a mental thought and it is not born of explanation or logic. It is something felt within every cell of my body, and the only thing required is for me to stop fighting or dismissing what is already felt and known.
A beautifull expression of how everything we do matters .. including our relationship with ourself which of course is our relationship with the Universe too.
I too have felt I’ve crossed the point of no return. Only because I know how arduous and pain-full it can be to go against my body and when I do it stops me quicker than ever by getting sicker quicker. This isn’t a punishment because when I do tow the line and follow my bodies lead it’s always in the direction of greater awareness and love.
‘I have come to understand that each tiny movement has an impact on the whole…’ This is my understanding also, which calls for far greater responsibility in life than we might have been led to believe.
Beautiful to read Susan. I love your sharing of a deepening and unfolding relationship with yourself, God and the universe. I get a strong sense of you truly coming home.
To me the universe is a ever expanding web of interconnectivity and to me the reflection of this here on earth is a spiders web the kind you can sometimes see in the autumn perfectly suspended between a plant of some kind. The gossamer is perfectly made, so incredibly strong, yet seems so delicate. The slightest vibration to the web sends messages to the spider. Expand that out to our universe where everything is held in a suspension and everything is known by its vibration through the connectivity to the all.
It’s crazy really, when you think it often takes our body being brought to a ‘grinding halt’ before we start to listen to it, and sometimes that listening is only very temporary. Our body is this amazing vehicle which supports us endlessly all throughout our lives. It’s our own little universe, and if we don’t support it back, those very unpleasant halts will simply continue to occur.
“When we move with ourselves in harmony we can feel that this offers others a space to move likewise.” It is then up to them what they do with it, but they have been offered a different way to move, that may or may not be taken up this lifetime. I have been learning to let go of my attachment and need that they ‘get it’.
I love too when I am offered that space. Sometimes just being with another who is moving gracefully I realise how out of line I am and can simply change my movements in those moments and come into harmony with them – so simple and so lovely, fully appreciate this way of inspiring each other.
“Through building and surrendering to an innate sensitivity and deepening this relationship with my vehicle of expression I feel I am approaching the gateway to the soul – to be able to expand this relationship beyond my body and to connect to the sacredness within that we all hold in our essence.” This so beautifully captures how through developing our tenderness to and with ourselves, and then living from that, we connect to the Divine and our own divinity and not by surrendering to something or someone external.
“The connection and relationship with my body has been enormously supported by having sessions with Esoteric Practitioners, who have each offered a different angle and approach to support me to change the old momentum that has been in my body for a very long time.” I agree Susan, the same goes for myself – and I get so much out of each and every practitioner I go to.
Thank you Susan for a loving and beautiful sharing which, with clarity and simplicity, eloquently expresses how we are each uniquely connected to and part of the Universe.
‘Is my Body the Microcosm of the Macrocosm that is the Universe?’ When I ponder on the brain alone – with its billions of neurons all firing up and connecting I would certainly say yes to that question! Then there is the rest of the body that is super interconnected, each part claiming its own function (including the brain) and needed to be its healthy self in full to contribute to the bigger whole. I would say that there is a beautiful symbolism to this and how as individuals we are the body parts that contribute to the bigger whole of the universe.
Such an eloquent article Susan that restores our true position within a multi-dimensional and majestic Universe that holds every single particle in equal and loving respect. It is clearly time for us to return to the inherent harmony that pervades the space around us. All we have to do is surrender to the love we are bathed in and return once again to the natural order that is so innate within us, aided and supported by the Ageless Wisdom and the immensely wise Serge Benhayon.
Feeling the vibration of the Universe flowing through our body is to know that we are part of the ever expanding whole.
Why do we have to age, to feel the part we play in the grand scheme of life? But, so many see life as a slot machine where you get one pull on the lever. The standards of why we lost are many. Awaking is always just a choice away for all of us.
For many the option to stop is not so much unthinkable but moreover impossible. As our next move is governed by the preceding ones, then it’s akin to a train that’s been hurtling along at 300 km/h being asked to come to an abrupt stop. Simply not possible. Therefore unless we suffer from an acute illness or have a significant injury then in order to come to a stop we have to gradually reduce our speed over time.
The overall contraction that is currently being lived on Earth is like a ball and chain in the overall expansion of the Universe.
‘We are indeed an indelible part of the Magic of God’ We sure are Susan and embracing this fact, we are able to see that the magic of God is everywhere and within us.
What I observe that at night when I lay in bed is that I can feel the impact on my body of how I have been in the day, for instance my legs might throb because I have been rushing around; It feels really important to allow ourselves to feel this.
Yes I agree every night time in bed is an opportunity to stop and feel how our bodies are and also to renew, restore and rejuvenate to have another go the next day with a deeper level of awareness of what supports us and what does not.
It’s interesting that I have just been sitting reflecting on how I feel and why from the events and choices I have made today to then read your comment Rebecca. This offers an opportunity to reflect deeper on why we have made such choices or moved how we have in the day and to then have a choice to repeat or change what we have lived from one day to the next.
When we embrace what we feel in our body – however uncomfortable that may be we are allowing our body to come back into alignment with it’s natural flow and within that we can begin to reconnect to the stillness that resides within always waiting for our return.
If we stopped being in drive, it does not mean we would stop and stagnate on the couch…for if we stopped first to connect deeply then we would feel what was truly needed and hence true purpose would kick in to fuel the activity to do what was needed but never at the expense of the body, for God works in wonderful ways and when it is divine purpose that fuels a person, the body is equal in importance to the activity to be completed. How beautiful is this?
When we are fuelled by divine purpose we are in true harmony with the vibrations of God and the Universe.
This pattern of drive and push is one that very effectively stops us from connecting deeper with what is in fact needed, how we could be living and bringing more of our deeply held divinity into expression. It is a very effective delay tool and one that is often applauded by many for in drive we often accomplish lots (though always at the expense of the body).
Whenever we go into drive we are in fact driving in the opposite direction from ourselves and everything that is needed in that moment.
No wonder we keep going round in circles.
Exactly Susan. We spend lifetimes floundering around outside of ourselves when every answer that we’ve ever needed to anything and everything has been right there with us all along. We are the answer to everything, which is why re-connection is vital.
“We seem to have an ‘ideal’ or ‘belief’ that no matter what, we must keep going – that to stop would be unthinkable ” – this is the classic ‘drive’ that most of us can and do fall for, and one I certainly can relate to. But in living this way, it is pushing and forcing the body out of a natural flow, which inevitably has its consequences and yet we still do it, still try to get away with using this as a way to get through the day.
And we do this irrespective of the pain we are inflicting on our body as though it were a matter of ‘life and death’………..
Yes great point everything in life seems set up to ‘keep going no matter what’ and it does appear that if we stop we will be left behind by everyone else who are driving ahead without us, but this is a myth and in my experience when I have allowed myself to really stop the push and the drive, I feel more connected to that natural flow inside me me and around me and actually feel closer to others in my relationships.
As you say Andrew we make life a mere illusion when our roots are steeped in Divinity………..and our body is the vehicle that can return us to that state.
This rings a bell Henrietta. Letting go of what we expect and try to attain in trying to rach pictures of how we think life should be allows us to start to feel more of the truth in everything and from our body.
Reading this article makes me realise how healing illness and disease can be and how it allows a stop and moment for us to reflect on how we have lived and the choices that we have made.
And from there we can understand the purpose of responsibility and all the blessings it offers.
Our ultimate responsibility is to live in such a way so as to allow God to pour through us all of the time. It is us and only us who blocks the consciousness of God from coming through our bodies and it is us and only us who can make the choices needed to free up our bodies in such a way so that they don’t hinder or restrict the free flow of God though them. Responsibility is therefore a moment by moment decision.
What a joy to read this Susan, thank you. It is something that I feel to read a few times as you offer the reader much to consider.
It was a joy to write – when we allow the wisdom to drop in we enrich our lives way beyond imagination……
It is then for us to go out and walk that wisdom in the world, making it a part of our every day.
