Developing Breast Cancer: BRCA, Genetics & Choices

by Nykole Sargent, BUS Cellular and Molecular Biology, Utah, USA

I have spent the last 8 years studying health sciences, biotechnology, genetics, and molecular biology, and the last 5 years studying esoteric medicine. BRCA1 mutations have been gaining momentum in the press, and I feel to write about it from a scientific / medical perspective, as well as a personal / esoteric healing perspective.

THE CONNECTION BETWEEN BREAST CANCER, BRCA1 AND GENE MUTATIONS

BRCA1 (1) is the name for a gene (a segment of DNA) that has been associated with the development of cancer in breast tissue; BRCA stands for BReast CAncer. It is estimated that 1 in 5,000 women carry a mutation in BRCA1 – this translates to 5-10% of breast cancer cases having a mutation. Esoteric Breast Massage: A Wonderful Tool Alongside Conventional Medicine

by Donna Gianniotis, Australia

Four and a half years ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I was 33 at the time. It came as a shock as I thought that I lived a healthy lifestyle. I was a yoga teacher, ate a ‘healthy diet’, exercised, meditated, and practised yoga. However, I knew from the moment of the diagnosis that this wasn’t something that happened to me. I had a feeling somewhere deep in my body that this was the result of how I had been living.

I spent the year going through conventional treatments, surgery, chemotherapy, radiation and IVF to freeze my eggs. I also searched for answers as to the underlying root cause of breast cancer.

It was a year or so later that I came to the work of Universal Medicine and Serge Benhayon. I remember sitting at the first Esoteric Medicine presentation that I attended in person that was presented by Serge. I connected strongly to what was being presented in regard to the need for women to self-nurture; it wasn’t the first time that I had heard this, but it just seemed to resonate much more deeply that night, I knew it in my body to be true. It felt as though Serge was talking directly to me. Continue reading “Esoteric Breast Massage: A Wonderful Tool Alongside Conventional Medicine”

I’ve just been Diagnosed with Breast Cancer

I understand that certain allegations have been made about Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine (UniMed), in particular claiming that Serge and the practitioners associated with Universal Medicine are in opposition or competition with conventional medical practitioners. This completely contradicts my experience as a cancer patient over the past year since my diagnosis in early June 2011 and in my association with Serge and Universal Medicine since early August 2011. During this past year I have had continuous treatment medically and also since early August, weekly sessions with Serge or other Universal Medicine practitioners. I am grateful to both my conventional and complementary practitioners for the caring support that I have received.

Personal Experience Shared of Esoteric Breast Massage

by Victoria Lister

It’s interesting to read the words ‘cult‘ and ‘cult leader’ in relation to Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine. Until recent blog postings by a few detractors, I have not once in my 5+ year association with Serge and Universal Medicine considered myself a ‘cult member’. I have been free to come and go from events and workshops as I please, and free to make up my own mind as to whether I take what Serge presents on board or not. He has neither been the cause of any relationship breakdown (in fact, I have since re-married, and very happily so, in that time) nor separated from my family of origin, whom I love very much.
