What happened on the evening of the 12th October 2012 at the Universal Medicine – Esoteric Medicine presentation in Lennox Head was deeply disturbing to me as a paying audience member, a human being and as an Australian citizen.
David Millikan, a so called ‘expert on cults’ had asked to speak with the audience in attendance under the guise of openly researching our lifestyle choices to expand his insights and gather material for a book that he claims to be writing.
Millikan spoke with Serge Benhayon before the event, claiming that he was interested, and open, and willing to hear everyone’s views and understanding, when all along all that he was truly interested in doing was not reporting any truth, but fabricating his next big ‘Cult Bust’ explosive TV show to boost his reputation as a leading ‘expert’ in the field. There was not one ounce of true interest in exploring why we would be interested in attending a presentation by Serge Benhayon. Just an arrogant and calculative Millikan setting up an ambush to film us – a group of people, including some under age youngsters – with hidden hand-held cameras in the hall and large TV cameras and studio lights positioned outside the entrance, surrounding the building, and even positioned on the rooftop! And all this to create the footage they needed to make the TV show look so-called ‘exposed’, sensationalistic and emotional.
But instead, if anything, the room was stunned by the fact of Millikan’s utter falseness, underhandedness, cunningness and such deliberate misinterpretation for the sake of self-glorification. You have to have experienced it to know that this is not just a scene in a movie, but has actually become the practice of the Australian media landscape.
So here is what had happened: Millikan gets on stage and chats with Serge, introduces himself as a Minister of the Uniting Church and cult specialist. He then turns to the audience and with a flick of a switch, raises his voice, points his finger and puts on a show for the hand-held cameras that have suddenly popped up in the audience.
He had chosen young women to do his dirty work and film the proceedings. I am sure this was done very deliberately as they blended in more easily in a room of local people where many knew each other.
But they did certainly stand out. They had been asked respectfully, over and over to stop filming as they did not have permission to do so – but like robots they kept walking and at times rushing around the room. Millikan on stage kept raising his voice accusing us of being a cult and posing questions and issuing statements that contained as many ‘out-there’ words as he could possibly put in one sentence – very obviously constructed for the cameras. He then proclaimed, “Why aren’t you answering”?
Well, THE FACT IS – he wasn’t interested in our answers, he did not give us a chance! When asked if he will be making money out of all this, he admitted to be on the payroll of a well-known Television Station and thus giving away that he is even more un-trustworthy, as he had not disclosed this information in the beginning. In his ranting-on he put on a show that was obviously scripted to cut a so-called ‘catching story’.
He finally left the building, due to the fact that he did not get from us the hype that he was looking for, but then, outside the hall he continued filming for the wrap-up of the show.
The enormous gaping hole in regard to the lack of integrity or decency in our media has stunned me completely. It hits home so much more deeply when experienced first hand. These TV shows are set-ups and their intent is not innocent, nor unbiased. And this is called ‘entertainment’?
Shame on David Millikan for calling himself a man of God and behaving in such a harm-full and denigrating way. Lecturing down on people as if it was the 12th century.
An important question to consider would be – what is it about our life-style choices (read our blog – Truth About Serge Benhayon or Truth About Universal Medicine) that people like David Millikan are not willing to look at and consider normal?
Making aware choices about our lifestyle doesn’t make us brainwashed, it makes us individuals… And last time I checked, this is what a democracy is about.
