We would like to share the experience of our involvement with Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine not only from our own perspectives, but that of us as a couple, a union and a team. To share how invaluable the work and presentations of Serge and Universal Medicine have been in our life, and to the success of our relationship.
We both met Serge some twelve years ago, what he shared then and to this day has been profound yet simple at the same time: what he presents just makes sense. We had both been in a series of relationships, and both had the same underlying dissatisfaction: in our hearts knowing there had to be more to life than this, more to love than what we were meeting. And we were both putting a lot into those relationships. In hindsight we can say that that “the lot we were putting” in, was a lot of emotion. Not necessarily the key ingredient for a truly vital and harmonious relationship. The point being, that we were both certain that a love greater and more enduring than what we had found was a possibility. We just hadn’t found the way to have that yet; the way to live that. Most of us can remember having a hangover and saying to ourselves that we will never drink alcohol again. Why do we? Why do we drink to begin with?
Alcohol is a poison. It kills nerve cells, and hence pain. It is a sugar hit which picks us up at the end of a hard day and leaves us feeling comfortably numb. It is a treat, a reward for a day’s work. The prospect of enjoying a drink can get us through a day, a week, a life. It can be a substitute for intimacy, a companion, a best friend. When I first met Serge Benhayon a few years ago in Cologne, Germany he gave a presentation about the root causes of illness and disease – but he did not present himself as a ‘big healer’ or ‘redeemer’ taking away all sins and burdens. He just gave us some tools and instruments so we could feel the truth and become more aware of ourselves, and thus find solutions on our own.
As a lawyer I was quite reserved and critical, looking out for irrational points or untrue pretensions to pick him up on. But I had to admit that he expressed only the simple truth, and the conclusion that improving life is mostly about one’s own choices. I am sure we are not alone in our story and many readers of this will be able to relate to it. My husband and I met when we were young – 18 and 19. We instantly ‘fell in love’ and were engaged at 19 and 20. We went through the usual dramas of ‘young love’ but felt pretty certain that we would choose to be together in the long term.
We had children pretty young as well. I would actually like to speak up to give a perspective of a husband who nearly lost his wife to Universal Medicine (UniMed). The story starts about five years ago. My wife and I have a beautiful healthy baby, we are paying off our home mortgage, we both are young professionals in our careers, and our life seems perfect viewed from the outside.
One day my wife started receiving Esoteric Breast Massages (EBMs) from a woman practitioner (there are no male Esoteric Breast Massage practitioners despite what the media has portrayed). This was a little shocking to me but I thought hey, we just moved to the Byron area, so it’s just part of the course. After a while my wife also starting attending workshops and talks by some guy named Serge Benhayon.
