I’m Just An Ordinary Man

by Otto Bathurst, UK

I have a partner. I met her before starting my study of the Esoteric Teachings. And so we have been on this journey together. Like all relationships, we have had huge ups and downs. It’s really hard at times, but that’s the same for all of us. There is no magic pill, potion or switch to flick. But what is beautiful about what is happening now is that, as we both… in fact, I shall only speak for myself… as I begin to get to know who I truly am and start to shed some of the masks, costumes and suits of armour that I had been wearing, that relationship becomes more and more honest and more and more true. I’m not there yet. Not by a long way. I still have much to learn. But that’s cool. And what is even cooler is that I can honestly say that the love I have for my partner is way more honest than the love I had for her when I met her. What’s more, it’s darn sexy. Honestly, some days I look at her and I fancy her more than ever. Continue reading “I’m Just An Ordinary Man”

Can I Be Fulfilled Without Being A Mother?

by Mariette, The Netherlands

As long as I can remember, people around me told me that one day I would be a great mum. Up till this very day, people still tell me this and ask me regularly if I have children. As a child I had this strong belief that later I would be a mother, not even knowing that there was such a thing as a choice. I always played ‘mother and father’ with other kids; I just loved to mother my stuffed animals or I was cooking in my fantasy ‘kitchen’ in the back of our garden. I guess all these three combined would actually make me the most perfect mother… Continue reading “Can I Be Fulfilled Without Being A Mother?”

Choices, I’ve Made A Few… Shockers!

At age 28 my life was out of control. I had a job, girlfriend, home, car, etc and everything appeared to be fine (I sure thought it was) – but for me to get through the day I needed my cans of coke, chocolate, cigarettes and my pot. And that was just the days through the week – come time for the weekend and I needed all that, plus ecstasy and speed. My life was a blur, and whilst I was holding down my job as a bricklayer, I was completely thrashing myself. I took so much pride in being the fastest brickie in the gang, but not so much care in what I was building. I was always a neat worker but I just wanted to get the job done so I could get home and get out of it: I was even contemplating a career change as I had had enough. At the time I thought it was my job that I was sick of, but I look back now and it was my life that was turning me off. Continue reading “Choices, I’ve Made A Few… Shockers!”

I Found My True Voice Again…

by Dr Rachel Hall, Brisbane Australia

“Never be bullied into silence. Never allow yourself to be made a victim.
Accept no one’s definition of your life; define yourself.” Harvey Fierstein

My whole life I recall being told: be quiet, stop talking, don’t shout out the answers, you can’t say that, keep your trap shut, shush, be silent, pipe down, don’t speak out of turn and hold your tongue, along with a multitude of other colloquialisms to stop me from verbally expressing myself. Family Member’s Observations of a Universal Medicine Practitioner

by Sheila Colwell (Shu) and Jack Ellis

Jack and I want to share some observations about a member of our family, Jenny Ellis, who is a practitioner working at Universal Medicine Brisbane.

Jen is Jack’s daughter and my dear friend, and we have been witness to the changes in her life and in our relationship since 2006 when we moved here to Brisbane from the US. Contrary to the ridiculous and malicious nonsense spread about Serge Benhayon and Universal Medicine by some people out there, our experience is of a wonderful and growing closeness with Jen, this lovely member of our family, and increased love and truth in all our relationships. Life-giving Wisdom: It’s In The Way We Live

by Dr Lyndy Summerhaze, BA, PhD., DipMusEd, AmusA, Australia

I have been associated with Universal Medicine and Serge Benhayon for five years now and I have found nothing but the highest integrity, goodwill and just plain good sense. Getting to feel this last quality – plain good sense – in the midst of a world of complication, has been one of the most liberating things I have ever experienced, enabling me to let go of a crippling life of turmoil and drama.

Over these years as I attended talks and courses, I have felt a call to come out of my hiding away from the world and just getting through as best I could, to now participating joyfully in life and making a contribution. The way this was accomplished was not through imposition of any kind – there was no telling me what to do. There was simply the presentation of an elegant truth that we all originally come from love and that this is the stuff we are made of. Continue reading “Life-giving Wisdom: It’s In The Way We Live”
